Why would you build like that? Even if you have limited amount of bricks, that's no excuse to make an eyesore. Black, white and the greys blend together well enough to create a decent scenery, there's no need to mix in every possible color. Remember people that hosting a quest is not by any means mandatory. You can play and enjoy the game without ever hosting a single quest yourself. Not everyone is cut out to host a quest, anyway, as unfortunate as that is to say.

Depends on what you mean. Heroica Hall is multicolored, for example, but it's consistent with its coloring. But if you mean something like this... ...then there's a problem. (Sorry, Peppy... )

I actually thought about this when I planned for the game, but ultimately decided against it. I don't really want players to level up without participating into quests (because they're the meat of this game), and making it "just for fun" doesn't feel worthwhile the trouble of hosting it. But I wouldn't worry about not getting into quests, as there's at least two more quests (not hosted by me) coming up as soon as some of the current ones end. There should be plenty of chances to go adventuring for everyone.

WHAT???!!! I can't believe you went and made a huge and gorgeous MOC like this based on a fictitious god I created! I feel thoroughly honoured and pleased, Etzel! It's every bit like I imagined Ennoc's temple to be, and it fits the fantasy setting perfectly. It's such a beautiful building, too, with it's harmonious color scheme. There's even a statue of Ennoc inside! Thank you for making the effort to build this, it makes me so happy that my game has inspired people here to this extent. It might not be fair for me to say this, but this creation just gave you a free pass to my next quest in the game.

Ellaria smiled at the fellow cleric. "Oh, I didn't mind. I know there's a big crowd here at the moment. My gift of healing was bestowed to me upon birth by Sylvania. The villagers who raised me found me in a forest, by their own words. I returned to that same forest later in life, and Sylvania spoke with me there. I know it sounds crazy, but she told me to come here to Eubric, that I would find my destiny here... I'm sorry, I'm rambling..."

Ellaria grinned at the female elf. "Thank you, I'm relieved I'm not the only one feeling like this..."

Rawwrr!! I don't really get what you're planning - I'm just a shark after all - but it seems like you guys think the best way to deal with Day 1 is to force a tie. I do agree that it would buy us time to use whatever skills we got from the meals, but remember that it will also give the scum time to use their given skills as well. We'd start Day 2 a little more wiser, perhaps, but we are likely to lose one or two innocents at the same time, without even trying to take a shot against the bad guys. I mean, the really bad guys.

Ellaria's heart sunk. "Oh.. Yes, she is. That eyepatch is especially adorable." The spite in her voice seemed to go over Tarn's head. "Hello to you too. It is good to meet another cleric here, there does not seem to be very many of us in Heroica..." But the man did not seem to listen to her answer, he just went on to talk about a girl he had fallen for. How ironic, Ellaria thought. CURRENT SIGN-UPS FOR QUEST#10: 1. The cleric's Special Guard was already changed so that it only blocks negative status effects (poison, sleep, petrify etc.) caused by the enemies' special skills. Other type of skills still work on clerics. But no, I wouldn't want clerics to be inflicted by any status effects (if that was what you meant). As for the other question, yes, it's allowed to include passive attributes to enemies such as that.

If you have more details about this kind of a battle system, do share!

Ellaria felt her heart jump. "Oh! That means we might get into the same quest again! My, wouldn't that be wond... I mean, fun! Yes, just you and me, unraveling secrets and fighting off monsters... Umm, of course there would be others in the quest as well. Hehe." Stupid stupid stupid! Ellaria felt like banging her head against the tabletop, but instead she just gave Tarn a sheepish smile.

WHAT?! You meanie! Haha, of course it's not. But the best part of this game is that it can be easily modified and improved based on the experiences and feedback I get from you guys. Granted, I can't please everyone and I want to keep the game simplistic so that everyone can easily play it, but you probably got what I meant.

I have to say I prefer the real pieces over the digital versions. There's great joy in collecting various minifig parts and matching them together.

Ellaria turned back to Tarn. "What about you? Planning to embark on any of the quests?" Out of a sudden there was a living chicken on the table, pecking a piece of bread that Tesni gave it. The orc matron Scheherazade hurried out from the kitchen, waving a broomstick. "Living meat off the table, Gibbin!" Scheherazade shouted at the owner of the chicken. "Didn't your mother teach you any manners?! By Danab's breasts..."

Nothing lasts forever, unfortunately. But don't worry, I have no plans to end this game in the foreseeable future. I however do suspect that the popularity will wane at some point, but let's not worry about that now. Just focus on having fun!

"Nice to meet you, Alf! I do like your new attire. Didn't you use to go around... um, bare-chested?" Ellaria found herself blushing again as she spoke of the man's chest, and again she cursed herself. She would have to grow some teeth to be around this lot of battle-hardened adventurers. Hearing this worried Ellaria. "D-demon? Is there really a demon residing in those wizards' house? I wonder what they have done to attract such a vile thing..."
-
Ellaria blushed as Tarn handed her 50 gold. She had already sworn that she would stop blushing, but for some reason she just couldn't help herself. What was the matter with her? She was carrying a mighty staff of fire, yet here she was fawning like a little girl... "T-Thank you, Tarn. Do you mind if I sit down with you... guys? Just for a while?" Tarn waved his hand at the bench opposite of him, and Ellaria sat down, perching Ignis Fatuus against the edge of the table. "So, have you applied to any of the current quests?" she asked the others. "I signed into the one pitched by the Guild of Invision." (OoC: It was Althior Emorith who was in our quest, Amorith is another character.)
-
Of course.

Ellaria returned from the Marketplace to find Tarn, Tesni, Althior and Alexis talking to some people she did not know over at one of the long tables. Ellaria smiled at Tarn as she approached the young barbarian. "Hi again, Tarn! Greetings to the rest of you as well. Those of you who don't know me, I'm Ellaria Arbour, and I guess you could call me a disciple of Sylvania. Listen, Tarn, I was wondering whatever happened to that crown we found during our quest in the cave?" Ellaria noticed how Tarn's eyes were fixed on Tesni, who on her behalf was chatting with Alexis. She felt something nasty turn in her guts momentarily, but it quickly passed as Tarn turned to her and returned her smile.

I understand, but I will make it have sense. I don't have all the important people created yet, but I'd like to hold rights to create them in the future. It doesn't mean nobody else can use them, though, they just have to ask me what the person they want to use looks like.
-
Peppermint, thanks for the updated Bestiary, it looks great! And also thanks to all the people who've been sending me their quest pitches, it ensures that this game will go on for a long time.
-
That is a yes. You misunderstood. A player has to choose to skip a turn. If there's an inactive player, the QM can either take control of that character's actions (or give that power to the party leader), or kick that player out of the quest altogether. There's already been a few players who've gotten into a quest, but then for some reason have not participated save for a few posts. I'd advice to be rather direct in dealing with these players in the future, so that kind of behaviour will not be encouraged.
-
OoC: No, you can automatically add the value of the crown to your gold now that the quest is over.

Prison Riot! Confirmation and Discussion Thread
Sandy replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Rawwwrrr!!! I'm a shark! And I'm here to bust the nasty gangsters for spoiling my leisurely life sentence! ... But honestly, I did not mean to eat that baby, my hunger just got the better of me! -
Not really, hence I put it in parenthesis. You can have good reputation with the Wolfgang, though, but not if you do what the Town Watch tells you in the "WANTED!"-quests (yes, there will be more of those in the future). So the two "factions" are mutually exclusive, just as the pairs of noble houses are.
