Despite his best effort, the sluicegate does not open. It is locked by some sort of mechanism. As Skrall works on the sluicegate, he spots a dark shape lying on the other side of the grate. -
I'll wait until the quest is over. Maybe Brickdoctor will make all the villages go up in flames in the end, so it would be futile to add them to the Library yet. The enemy against which the bone was used simply fails to act in its next turn, whether it is against a hero or a free hit. It's not a very useful item in itself, but I have planned other uses for it which you will find out soon enough.

Holy hell! This set exceeds my expectations by far! I did not think there would be a castle wall included, just a bunch of stalls and tents with the jousting fence. And the new figs are certainly to die for (the princess's dress really is perfect elven maiden material). I do agree the first picture is misleading - especially when put first like that - but on the other hand I wouldn't want to pay for several stalls that are exactly the same. It's nice that the designers have thought about the AFOLs who like to buy multiples in this way. -

The party decides to leave the lever alone for the time being, and check out the remaining tunnel that goes straight from the intersection. The tunnel goes on for a while, and then suddenly ends in a closed sluicegate. There is another lever in front of it. What will the party do? -
Ellaria gasps as Tarn hands her the Phoenix Essence. "Oh, really? I'm so honoured... I will use this rare item to the best of my ability. Thank you ever so much! So, this tomb belongs to the Porthiar family, I reckon. I wonder if there are more cultists around here somewhere..." OoC: My power should be 5 now, since I'm still wielding the Torch instead of my Snake Staff.

I have to say it's been a breeze hosting a quest with just three (active!) players. Sure, there have been some minor hiccups at least on my part with the numbers (those damned numbers!!!), but since all three players are so active and keen-eyed, it's really been easy to keep track of everything despite of that. Thanks in advance for your participation, guys!

The spider looked up at the towering ogre. "It says to be careful when pulling levers", Skrall translates. "Apparently there are some people who have found themselves trapped in these sewers for the rest of their suddenly shortened life." Remembering the spiders warning, the party heads right from the intersection. Unsurprisingly, after walking for a while they see a lever ahead of them. There is also a cascade of water at the end of the tunnel. Suddenly three hostile frogs jump out of the waterfall, and an enormous rat joins them in engaging the party into a battle. PREPARE FOR BATTLE! OoC: The sum is correct but the calculation is not. The damage is calculated this way: Level 8 + WP:4 = 12 + 4 (Critical Hit) = 16 x 2 (enemy's elemental weakness) = 32 damage. Ellaria turns to Hoke. "You're weak, but your shield should cover you for one more round. I will heal you if you take another hit." Ellaria grips her torch tighter, and attacks Porthiar Family Cultist A.

The party decides that they are not done with the sewers just yet, so they return all the way back to the first junction they encountered. The bioluminescent spider is still there. After going through the left hand tunnel, where will the party head next? STRAIGHT or RIGHT? -
OoC: All elemental attacks damage undead, including weapons with elemental attributes. Also, my ether should be 4/7 after I leveled up. Ellaria cheers her companions. "Good, now we can dispatch the undead enemy much more efficiently! I just fear for my low ether in this undoubtedly longwinded battle. If I spend it all on the undead enemy, how will I be able to restore health to you guys when you get wounded? I don't even have a tonic at hand... But very well, as the party leader wishes, I will attempt to heal Porthiar Elder from the back row."

The pickpocket bows in respect. "Now why would I do that? Consider yourselves in good terms with the Wolfgang, at least as long as you don't act against us. We don't mind losing a few thugs, though, they are entirely expendable. Here's your 55 gold back, cleric. If I may give you a hint, do as the watchmen would have done, and claim I managed to get away with your gold to the officer who hired you. That way you get to keep the gold despite failing the mission. See you around, friends!" Haldor receives his lost gold back from the thief. 55 gold Donny Dozenhands spins around, lifts the fallen ladder back up against the wall and skillfully scales them up and out of the sewers. The three heroes look at each other. Had they done the right decision? Will the party return to the Town Watch Barracks right away, or will they stay to look around the sewers? -
Next time, Ellaria is sure to make a bold statement when she wishes to do something.

Ellaria nods as she finally realized where they are. "Ah, so as we walked away from the right-bound tunnel, we turned around with our backs to the entrance again. So we have now gone right and left from the entrance, and found both ways to be dead-ends, correct? That means there is only way to go, and that is the new pathway that opened up."

Ellaria is stunned by the sudden turn of events. "Wait, what? I did not even intend to use the pickaxe..."

Ellaria looks around. "So, is this a dead-end where we are? I'm sorry, I think I'm lost already. If this path doesn't take us anywhere else - and if there's nothing I can use this pickaxe on, then I think we should return all the way back to the entrance and try the other route, where we first heard the barking. I reckon there are more guard hounds there. But what exactly are they guarding?"

Donny scoffs. "Hah! Yet you work for arguably the biggest crooks in this city, the Town Watch! And don't even get me started on the six 'noble' houses - just a bunch of conniving and greedy pack of rats, the lot of them! Trust me when I say, in the near future you will want to be in the good books with the Wolfgang."
