Ellaria is amazed of the battle results. How can the enemy be already at half of its original health? Nevertheless, Ellaria decides to repeat her previous action from the last round, so she heals Crozen from the back row. Ellaria tries to stop Hoke. "Wait! You will lose your turn if you trade items during a battle, because that is equal to actually using the item."

Actually, the earliest Duplo people had white skins, but they were little more than a head and a block for a body. Later, there were some yellow-skinned figures thrown into the mix, but this seems to have been long after the more realistic "flesh-skinned" figures were introduced. The Duplo figs have always been more diverse than System minifigs when it comes to skin color, gender and age. It's a real shame that kind of diversity hasn't really carried on to the minifigs... Anyway, thanks for the review! That chicken would certainly make a wonderful monster for the Heroica RPG.

Yes, but only in the case where a cleric heals an undead enemy. Besides, the cleric's special guard already protects them from any negative effects included in the enemy's special skills.
-
Yes, if it's a cleric trying to heal and not a healing item. If you look at the cleric's job class description, you'll see that there's "Heal More", "Heal", "Heal Less" and "No Healing" options in the battle die. You just convert those results as damage towards the enemy - and remember to decrease the cleric's ether if the healing is successful. This also means that the enemy cannot directly harm the cleric. If the Shield-skill Miracle is rolled, though, it should not affect the targeted enemy but the party as usual.

Holy hell, cralegoboy! Holy hell! When creating this game, I did not follow the rules of the boardgame, just adapted and incorporated some of them and made up the rest on my own. I didn't even own any of the Heroica boardgames until a few days ago (I now have Nathuz and Waldurk, so I still need to buy the other two). I did not really change the color of the potions, I've just grown accustomed to green being the color for health while playing RPG videogames. And I did not omit those potions on purpose, and it's not hard to include them into the game. In fact, there are three "positive effects" that correspond to those potions, so each of them could give one of these following effects: Encouraged – The target inflicts double damage for the next turn. Hastened – The target can act twice in the next round. Lucky – In the next turn, the target rolls the battle die twice and gets the better result of the two. As per your suggestion, I'll see that they are included in the near future.

Ellaria takes a deep breath. "Sylvania be merciful, this is going to be hard! That creature could kill most of us in one hit..." Ellaria decides to attempt to heal Crozen from the back row. At least she would be safe from her attacks that way. OoC: Cralegoboy, how do you determine which of Crozen's specials she uses? Are they used in order or what?

I think the first service is okay, but it should cost a little more, say 50 gold. And only one item should be able to be stored into the weapon. I don't really like the second service, since it negates the need to buy Venoms anymore. The third service is great, I approve of it.

New Lego 10223 Kingdoms Joust Exclusive
Sandy replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The queen has "dyed" her hair dark brown for this set. That same hairpiece in that color is available in one of the new Star Wars sets for Leia, and in the Wedding Decoration set (along with a blonde and reddish brown versions of the hairpiece). -
Scheherazade walks up to William and smacks him in the back of his head with a sausage. "You ignorant fool, can't you tell an ogre from an orc?" she bellows. Then she puts her face in front of the poor ranger's. "Look very closely, this is an orc's face! Don't you ever forget it!" And William sure won't, for the face will haunt him in his nightmares for the rest of his life.

Yes, that power grows as well.

Ellaria feels the need to correct her companions. "I believe Crozen introduced herself as the matriarch of the Porthiar family. But that does not matter, we will stop her nevertheless."
-
"N-no, we must not falter", Ellaria suddenly exclaims. "Guys, we've made it this far together. Lets bring this to the finish. There is something sinister going on under our city, and we need to get rid of it."

Great job! I really like the ingenious idea of only having the facade wall while the three other outer walls are "invisible". It's an entirely different approach to the dollhouse concept. The only things that make me dubious are the windows in some of the inner walls. I know it's not unheard of, but I don't see their point.

Scheherazade also has days off, and in the meanwhile the saloon is run by her identical twin sister Schmeherescheremeschermeharazade. And she absolutely hates it when people get her name wrong. Just joking, of course... Anyway, do tell who you suspect to be an important character in the crowd. I'm interested to hear your theories.
-
Scheherazade put her hands on her hips. "Exactly what are you insinuating? My precious son does not spend his time at parties, he travels the world selling rare and wondrous items. You can recognize him from his large backpack, wide brimmed hat and friendly, if a bit toothy, smile. He's not exactly fully orc, either... But that is another story, one that I wish not to tell."

Here's a few closer looks of the Eubric Fishmarket, since I'm about to dismantle the MOC.

I usually decide the health of the enemies based on the strength of the party at the time they encounter the said enemies. It's just a matter of evaluating how many normal hits it'll take to bring the enemy down, and whether you want to make the enemy easier or tougher than that. Six Level 1 players can deal a total of 24 damage per round if they all get a normal hit, so two enemies with around 12 health or three with around 8 health would be the standard battle. You also have to remember that the more health the enemies have, the more likely they are to damage the party before they are taken down. And because of the Free Hits, the more enemies there are in battle in total, the tougher it'll be.

Oooh! This creation looks very cohesive for a fantasy castle, I must say. I love the architecture, and you've managed to create an illusion of an enormous building by making it not quite minifig scale. Usually I prefer castle creations with minifigs to liven up the place, but in this case they would only do harm. One thing that bothers me is the lack of doors. All the beautiful bridges seem to lead to a solid wall. Since you're using SNOT technique, it wouldn't be hard to put a black plate to represent a door onto most of the walls, for example.

"Ah, the subject of Orcs rises again. As I have said, the orcs and their kin hail from far west, in the barren and deserted lands that are known to orcs as Baltarok, the Land of Tarok the Destroyer. It is not an unified kingdom as one might think, but a wasteland governed by various savage tribes of orcs, ogres and goblins. Water and nutrition is scarce there, which I imagine was the main motivation to attempt to invade the High Kingdoms. The orc calling himself Tarokai, "the son of the god Tarok", managed to rally most of the tribes and rise to become the Orc King. At least to my knowledge there has not been another orcish king before or after Tarokai. Many of the "greenskins", as they are mockingly called, live under slavery or poverty in the lands around the Crystalline Sea, but I hear the ones still residing in Baltorak have begun to build towns and forts into the desert. This goes to proof that civilization can bloom even in the harshest of environments." "As far as the other races living with the orcs in Baltorak go, it seems their relationship is similar to that of humans, elves, halflings and dwarves. There is often animosity between the hulking ogres and the diminutive goblins, for example, but when faced with a common enemy they can band together to fight it. Some say trolls are related to the orcs as well, but in truth they are more solitary creatures, lurking in dark caves and forests. However, evidently there were several trolls in the orcish army during the invasion."

You don't have to choose an advanced class, but once you see them, you will want to. All mage-derived advanced classes can cast spells as well. Anyway, Quest#6 has now ended. Congratulations WBD, Scorpiox and Jebediahs for failing the quest in the best possible way.

The captain's face turns a deeper shade of red. "You insolent fools... Get out! GET OUT, before I arrest the whole lot of you! What a worthless waste of gold you lot were... The party return to the intersection, and see that their way out back to the Fishmarket is open. The path that lead to Donny Dozenhands is now closed, however. Not minding that, the party make its way out of the sewers and across the city of Eubric back to the Town Watch Barracks. There they face the grim Captain Lilbelly. "What is this mockery? You dare to return emptyhanded, without the thief? Where's my money? I want it returned at once!" The party stares at the raging and red-faced captain. What will they answer to him? -
Heroica RPG - Quest#6: WANTED! Donny Dozenhands

The party decides to pull the other lever on the tunnel they searched before. Much to their surprise the lever did not result in a sudden flood on the sewers, but another distant clank. The party returns to the tunnel with the sluicegate, and find it wide open. As they walk past the open grate, they now see that the dark shape huddled on the ground is in fact a skeleton. Fortunately the skeleton is very much dead. There are countless scribbles on the walls of the sewer, saying things like "GODS LET ME OUT!!!", "WHY CAN'T ANYBODY HEAR ME?!", "WORST ENDING TO A PARTY EVER!", and "I NEVER SHOULD HAVE TAKEN A SHORTCUT THROUGH THE SEWERS". The misfortuned party-goer is still holding it's earthly possessions consisting of a metal staff, a chalice and a die. Party Leader, how will the found loot be divided? 1 x Heavy Metal Rod - WP: 5, suitable for clerics and mages. 1 x Loaded Die - Permanent lucky-effect to the owner, allowing them to roll the battle die twice and get the better result of the two. 1 x Crystal Chalice - Worth 70 gold. -

Upon pulling the lever, the party heard a distant clank. Nothing happened to the sluicegate in front of them, though. -

Nur saw it wrong, for Skrall was trying to pull the sluicegate, not the lever. Peering through the grate, Nur sees only what Skrall did, a black shape sprawled on the ground on the other side of the sluicegate. Does the party wish to pull the lever?
