  1. Well, if you ever host a quest, you can put as many digging crabs for sale as you like, but the things sold in the Marketplace are standard stuff. Sorry. As far as weapons go, you can freely rename them after you purchase them, as long as their type and power does not change.
  2. The chalices reminded me of that scene as well. "The chalice from the palace has the brew that is true!"
  3. It doesn't matter, although nice pictures are always a bonus. As a hint, you can use colored paper as a background if you don't have a photo-editing program.
  4. Yes, I have all of her pieces - except the head. Sorry...
  5. An elderly man with spectacles and an academic attire enters Heroica Hall and posts a bill to the Quest Board. He mutters by himself. "This should take care of those pranksters once and for all..." ~A new quest has been posted to the Quest Board!~
  6. I've now added Haldor (sans the cape and in a different torso) and Capt.JohnPaul's character among the others. I'll take more pictures tomorrow, since it's past dusk here now.
  7. That's just poor lighting, he's got the same "classic pirate" face as the original avatar has. Well, I'm the one taking these pictures, so of course my character got the central spot. And yeah, that's Jess next to Hybros. Haldor didn't make it into the picture, because I don't have his torso or his cape-thingy...
  8. The positioning was done randomly, there's no other thought about it except that I tried to spread out characters with the same color scheme around. Bartholomew Docken still has his eyepatch, it's just covered by the brim of his hat.
  9. To give some positive feedback for a change, my favorite moment from this game would be this: Priceless!
  10. With so many people having signed up, I'm in the process of taking new pictures of the Heroica Hall with as many of the player characters I was able to make. Here's some pictures, with more to come: I have to beg forgiveness to those of you who cannot find yourself from the pics, but for one reason or another I just couldn't make your character. As you can see, some of the characters might look a bit different due to me not having specific parts or because of small avatars from which I could not see the original parts used. Hope you like these, anyway!
  11. There's already at least one in play: Namyrra's Lullaby Wand that she got from the Ziegfried mansion. The wand puts enemies to sleep. So yeah, it's entirely possible.
  12. I'm loving the idea behind this vignette, although fighting mummies in a medieval castle makes the scene a bit odd. But the character is great, hope you portray more of her adventures in the future. I wouldn't mind seeing her as a character in Heroica RPG, either.
  13. Ellaria is getting frustrated. "Why won't they just go down?!" Ellaria turns to Crozen again, attempting to heal the matriarch from the back row.
  14. Wow! I got to say it out loud that I absolutely love the concept of this game. Have fun, everyone! Make your mentor proud!
  15. People here talk about how metagaming against certain players is not fair, but seeing the same faces in the scum line-up once again (although I do believe it was a random draw) makes me think it's totally justified. I still have to apologize for being partially to blame for screwing up the game for the Town. It's a shame we couldn't get the scum despite the valiant efforts of certain players, but on the other hand this was a whole new system for EB Mafia games, so it's totally understandable that people got confused and could not think of all the options. But thank you def for introducing this new method of playing this wonderful game to us! Let's hope we'll see it again in the future!
  16. Clerics can heal themselves (and anyone else) in-between battles, but each healing costs 1 ether. I'm not going to change that (especially since I'm playing a cleric myself ), sorry.
  17. Now Masked Builder has joined the growing group of Quest Masters, as he has selected the duty to host Quest #9. Go sign in, all you adventure-hungry heroes!
  18. ~New quest has been posted to the Quest Board! Scheherazade has new rumours to share!~
  19. ~Five new deities have been added to the first post. Three more to be revealed soon!~
  20. Byblos was not amused by the banana trick. The mage was making fun of the librarian's secret guilty pleasure, after all. "You can read and write, can't you? You are perfectly free to compile such a list yourself, as you can see all the mages listed among the other heroes at the Gallery. With all due respect, my job is to tend to this library, not to act as your personal secretary." The Metasimian turned his back to the dark mage, taking a sudden interest at rearranging the books in the nearest shelf. Byblos shook his head. "First demonology, now necromancy... I want to reinstate that I am not comfortable sharing information about these dark sides of life, but again, you must know what you could be faced with. There is in fact not just one single way to become an undead, but multiple different ways. It can happen due to a magical curse, a bite of certain undead monsters, or because the higher powers so deem. A myth tell how Helvetia, the goddess of winter, fell in love with a mortal man. But her love froze the poor man to death. Heartbroken, Helvetia used her divine powers to prolong his life, but the man could no longer feel anything for the goddess. His emotions were as dead as his body. This made Helvetia hate all living things, but her love for the undead remained, and she became the goddess related to the undead and necromancy." "As you know, the undead cannot be harmed by normal weapons - only those imbued with elemental magic. It was also discovered that things that heal mortal beings reversely hurt the undead. I do wonder, would a Phoenix Essence instantly slay an undead enemy, then?" The librarian scoffed after the insolent ranger. Was he really expecting that Byblos would add his insignificant faction among the houses in power in Eubric? The heroes were beginning to grow a bit too rude to Byblos's taste, but on the other hand he had never been a very social person. He shared his life with the books - at least they didn't talk back at him.
  21. OoC: After a successful healing, I should now have 7/8 ether. Ellaria gasps as another undead enemy rises from the ground, but she quickly recollects herself. "I will attempt to heal Seamus Porthiar from the back row!"
  22. Thanks for answering the questions in my stead, guys. The answers were absolutely correct in all cases, so if someone was still waiting for my confirmation, this is it. And Peppy, thanks for keeping the Bestiary in check! It's one less topic I need to manage. There's some new quests coming up very soon, so all available heroes should keep an eye on the Heroica Hall.
  23. You answered your own question in the first sentence.
  24. Yikes! Just the thought of Boomingham and Ellaria as a couple makes me shudder... But many thanks of the compliments. I'm doing this for you guys, although I'm having great fun myself at the same time. I agree with this decision. Trading items in the middle of a battle is equal to using them, so those involved should spend their next turn doing the trade. Capt.JohnPaul, there's a minor issue with your battle results with the clerics. It roused some questions in your topic, but I'll adress the issue here so that I'll not mess up the quest. Clerics are immune to taking damage while healing, so to avoid confusion you should use "No Healing" in the results when they fail, instead of "Damage" or "Special Guard". Furthermore, "Special Guard" only protects from the negative effects caused by the special skills, not from the damage caused by them. So in your battle, Barur should have gained 6 damage, but not be stunned. (This was changed after the initial quests, so I understand the confusion.) Hope this solves the issue.
  25. Yes, this is already possible, and has happened in several quests. The Quest Masters' Guide in the first post of this topic already mentions this in the bit about quest requirements. My previous quest also prohibited rogues from participating into it.
