  1. I'm not a yellow castle fan so it is hard to comment... but the gatehouse in the background looks quite nice and a few of the small models are alright, though I prefer them to be closed in this type of layuot. God Bless, Nathan
  2. Well in the spirit of this thread I saw this for only $9... what a bargain, the seller must be very easy to decieve because he is so new to bricklink... Then I saw his feedback... It's not wrong is it? I'm sure he just forgot to mail them... Nathan (please note the intent)
  3. This guy is pretty hard to beat, especially with his saddled horse. I was a bit surprised to see one listed for $9 when I did this search, then I noticed the seller's feedback... God Bless, Nathan
  4. To be honest: no. LOTM is the only one I can think of... though the others listed often make me feel creative (even in a very different discipline.) God Bless, Nathan

Heh... more like a legitamite, all-purpose swear word. Imagine: "I'm about to be hit by a truck! Oh BLEY!" But yeah, I got 3/10. I must not be as hardcore as I'd have thought X-D Depends on the age of the truck of course X-D God Bless, Nathan
  6. That obviously represents a lot of work! The story is quick and well told. I liked the fire 'effect' and many of the scenes. I particularly enjoyed the bley sickness, I was thinking of something similar for a MOC I postponed. Keep up the good work. God Bless, Nathan (who still prefers the JT stories ;-) )
  7. Mine are mainly the new ones so I have to be thankful for what I have... but the old ones are nicer where they have maintained the crispness of the logo... God Bless, Nathan
  8. Music is very good at adding scale to somethig (or is that just me?) God Bless, Nathan
  9. Happy EBirthday!* God Bless, Nathan *Patent pending
  10. My all time faviourite is 6066 Camouflaged Outpost. It had it all... After that (and in no permantly decided order): 6764 Sherif's Lock-Up 6175 Crystal Explorer Sub 6267 Lagoon Lock-up 6071 Forestmen's Crossing 6260 Shipwreck Island 6086 Black Knight's Castle 6062 Battering Ram God Bless, Nathan
  11. I should add my praise to this thread. This is one of the best large ships I've ever seen! I love the choice of figurehead and the detail is brilliant. An all round great MOC! God Bless, Nathan
  12. This torso being the only other to wear a captains hat (except in the final year of random parts) and similar to the comic (belt) seems very Foul like to me... God Bless, Nathan

My Ten: -1 You think bley is a legitimate, all-purpose adjective -2 EB, Lugnet, and CC aren't just random letters -3 Have a recurring nighmere which starts out as a lovely dream in which you wander into a toystore full of old sets, gets distressing as you realize you only have enough money for one, gets even worse as people who wouldn't know a new set from an old one buy many of the sets, ends with the shelf empty... is this just me? -4 Have been described as a generous present giver by till people as you clean out their holiday sale -5 Think the Ultimate Lego book is lame and riddled with errors -6 Seriously consider paying 10 times as much to fly on an airline with a duty free 20euro exclusive set -7 Are concerned about the large number of fleshies around you -8 Know the set number "off hand" and international name of any given set based on the number of pieces -9 Have built an insulated shed (from Lego) in which to store your lego -10 You think Bionicle is a controversial subject Couldn't help myself... Great thread! God Bless, Nathan
  14. I haven't seen the BIA since its smaller, earlier days... thanks for posting this. God Bless, Nathan
  15. Ohh, that is nice. Thanks for posting this. Enough good MOCs like this one may even push me to try a 'flying wagon'. God Bless, Nathan
  16. Hey and welcome, Some of the castles in your gallery are a bit futuristic for my tastes but... X-D God Bless, Nathan
  17. I always liked it... sentiment....and the story is not that bad, it's for kids! God Bless, Nathan
  18. You're mistaken because the Skulls Eye Schooner was called "The Black Skull" in the UK and Australia, while it was the Black Seas Barracuda that was called the "Dark Shark". So the above picture is correct when it labels Captain Roger/Redbeard's ship as the Dark Shark. Yes, you're right (I must have been tired) but it interests me that most of the elements of the original comic made it into production. There was some influence behind the sets. Just to list: Eldorado Fortress =itself CC=Soldier ships BSB=Dark Shark SES=Foul's ship (whose torso was released the same year) ITP= Port Royal The pirate's village (can't remember the name)= take your pic of the various lairs not to mention the characters... God Bless, Nathan
  19. I think the black feather with black torso pattern is rarer.... or do you just prefer this combo? Personaly I can't go past the Forestwoman and Blacksmith, both all ready featured. God Bless, Nathan
  20. Very good. But nothing can touch Chariots of Fire and The Mission (the score or cinematicaly). God Bless, Nathan
  21. This really bugs me as well because it makes sorting/finding more difficult, as well as decreasing variety. God Bless, Nathan
  22. You still haven't touched my speculation Mr Phes... God Bless, Nathan
  23. Brown would be nice, I can't help but feel that despite realism black/bley would be lost in the background of most MOCs. God Bless, Nathan
  24. I've commented on CC but... I'm not particularly fond of the scale of this keep compared to the (very impressive) rest of your MOC. That said the interior is great and that is also why I dislike WIP because the builder often has a better eye... God Bless, Nathan
