I just posted this in the pirates section in answer to Mr. Phes, and than realized there are a lot of people here who missed the old Lugnet days and may not use CC that much so I thought I would put this up for your information. He is a castle builder (mostly) who has been around for ages on Lugnet and more lately CC. His MOCs range from the simple: (pic=link to gallery) To the large: (pic=link to gallery) and are all known for detail: and clever, realistic touches: His Brickshelf Gallery. Overkill I know, but if you look around you'll see why he is one of the best MOCers online... I mean that: is just ingenious! Nathan Oh and his My Images gallery:

Buying Pirate LEGO - where to buy, advice, tips and questions
Norro replied to Mr. Smee's topic in LEGO Pirates
Well I have the minimum of not-yellowed, heavily worn, but once that is surpassed I tend to go on value. For example if a set with instructions cost $30 and a MIB one cost $40 I would probably move up... I was just wondering in what quality bracket yo find the best deals... Last of today's Custom Minifigs
Norro replied to SirScottLego's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I'm not a huge customs fan but some like yours which maintain the Lego spirit are quite nice. I would still never use them of course... X-D God Bless, Nathan -
I was browsing through JoJo's BS gallery (a castle builder of wide fame) when I noticed for the first time this section of custom pirates. I don't think this has been posted here yet, so I decided to see what you all thought... God Bless, Nathan

Buying Pirate LEGO - where to buy, advice, tips and questions
Norro replied to Mr. Smee's topic in LEGO Pirates
That would be a great help! Neither could I.... I am looking for pirate sets. I would like to see a whole column of them (similar to bricklink Browse) without all the loose (even pirate) lots. But when you click on their 'sets/themes' link within a search it doesn't isolate the sets and even removes sets that were in a more general search... Thanks for your help and God Bless, Nathan- 502 replies

Congrats on posting than! I think different theme specialists can learn a lot from completely different MOCs... God Bless, Nathan

Sets were available on retaillers' shelfs for much longer periods than so there was less pressure to have something new for each 'season'. I voted for the MCM (I know, I am ashamed of my Castle Maniac tag now...) 6077 was a great set (worthy of winning almost any poll. But the MCM is a classic, a set so great that it even transcends themes.... Have you built it? It's brilliant! God Bless, Nathan EDIT: The MCM even makes it into the top 10 in the Lugnet rankings... Not an easy thing to do. Castle isn't well represented because of a space Ijeet who gave a lot of the classics a 0 score which is hard to average up...

Buying Pirate LEGO - where to buy, advice, tips and questions
Norro replied to Mr. Smee's topic in LEGO Pirates
As a not regular shopper on Ebay, and in the other part of the world so not in competition X-D , I thought I would ask a few Qs from your expert knowledge: 1) Best way to search 2) Best way to find only sets 3) A way to eliminate SW listings from clogging what I can see... 4) The best condition to go for Thanks and God Bless, Nathan- 502 replies

Very, very nice! I love just how classic the contents of the store are (not to mention the payment method). The only eye opener is the orange/brown helmate stands creeping into lego a little ahead of their time ;-) . I love how you captured the spirit of the era. Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan

Much as it tears me to say it... WW would be cool! All those tan plates and tumbleweeds... God Bless, Nathan

It's not the ridiculous prices I'm questioning... just why 6102 costs half as much. You rarely even see an auction with it MIB as opposed to 6103 where that is quite common... God Bless, Nathan

I know it sounds phony, but 6066 is even better when you buld it! It is just so perfect... God Bless, Nathan

Buying Pirate LEGO - where to buy, advice, tips and questions

This ebay auction just ended and look at that price... I didn't bid because the seller refused to back down on a 20 pound flat rate for shipping to Ireland... but look at that price! Is this a common ebay frustration? BTW I put this here because I am blocked from posting in the Imperial Trading Post Records... God Bless, Nathan- 502 replies

I saw this on Bricklink and realized the seller is offering a MISB 6103 for $100 but also has a MISB 6102 MISB for only $55, probably a great investment. But why is the older/rarer set so much cheaper? Is it because 6103 is so popular? I don't have 6103 (yet!) but do have a 6102 (with box) otherwise this would tempt my limited resources to the extreme! 6102: 6103: So why the difference? Which set do you prefer? Any random question you would like to answer? God Bless, Nathan BTW: The seller also has my old faviourite 6260 MISB as well... Seeing as I would open any set I bought it probably isn't worth my while...

I still think these have the simplicity to be sets... and you never know if some inteligent person got a hold of the lego production schedule so that they produced greater numbers of sets with greater numbers of parts instead of storing useless parts for ages it may end up cost effective to have sets like this.
