Wow! That was a lot of work! But you still can't convince this bley hater that KK2 is even salvageable ;-) God Bless, Nathan

So far all the reviews (bar this one) are in Yoda's caste index... but that is a lot of work for him. Perhaps for ease I could create a post with a link to each review (in no. order) and edit it with each new one, this master list could than be pinned by some admin type... Is this a low tech way of going about it? God Bless, Nathan

Very nice, I didn't fully endorse the idea the first time, but you have made it into a workable concept. Perhaps a larger crew would help as it would require 3(?)* men to man the cannon. God Bless, Nathan *or 2 men and a woman, or 1 lego monkey (he'll manage) or an infinate number of crocidiles (craft sunk, man eaten, cannon lost...) etc...

Exactly! I think the original raised baseplate helped to delay their arrival by adding height to basic piece models without adding to the piece count... It was the pressure for even more which allowed the juniorization in. Just a pet theory... God Bless, Nathan

Hey all, wanted to point out this cool poster. It was an Exclusive for the Lego Builders Club in 1991. I bought one recently (when I get a scanner I'll try and put up a better image) and was very pleased with it! Image from Bricklink's database: God Bless, Nathan

Yes, I'm just saying that nomatter how fast and agile if it stays within range odds are it will eventually come under fire (assuming the SR's captain is not incompetent). Oh yes... God Bless, Nathan
-
It isn't an exact scien but if you look across any given year of lego releases there seemes to be a common thread of piece count to price range... God Bless, Nathan
-
I always thought it stood for megatron although this MOC goes along with your theory ;-) God Bless, Nathan

Very nice! I like the lagoon lock up feel of the barracks and it is great to see the spanish armarda at work on their very own island. I look forward to your MOCs getting bigger and better. Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan

As far as I'm aware there were canopy covered stalls/shops in piratical times, but the piece is very multi purpose for texture, overhangs, and simple tools... God Bless, Nathan

Unfair as the comparison is... ;-) One the SR opened fire the SES would be history if it was in range, and if it wasn't what damage would it be doing to the SR? When everyone talks about faster they seem to think that implies you could get into position to deliver a broadside without a return of fire (ala Nelson with his vertical columns) but even he endured several rounds while getting into position. Faster would normally only guarantee your ability to outrun the other ship, not necessairly fire without return... God Bless, Nathan (who is treadind in dangerous water which is both off topic and well beyond any area of expertise he may or not have...)

I was never against the original raised baseplate, it added height once thay had reached a max piece count which reduced the need for large burps/huge wall sections. It is what's on top that matters ;-) God Bless, Nathan

I have the original posts, are you suggesting I tag the links to each thread somewhere on EB? God Bless, Nathan
-
To join a thread very late: The indian line always seemed pointless to me because they didn't 'do' anything... Sure they could attack the cowboys, but after stocking up on the original sets and not particularly caring for the indian sets I was left with a very small horde of indians charging a massive force of cowboys with guns... I have often thought that haveing two tribes (something Lego hinted at) which fought or had intrigue between them would have beneitted this line.. God Bless, Nathan

Shiny reflective bley... It's just not as easy to dump out a lego set and build something new as it used to be... on the flip side the red 'knight' would make a decent spaceman X-D. God Bless, Nathan
-
I checked that thread but the link wasn't working for me (hence I didn't comment in it) so I couldn't tell what was being discussed... sorry. God Bless, Nathan
-
That is about as good as you can get for the piece count which Lego restricted itself to... if this limit was removed the best MOC you've ever seen would still just be 'getting there' ;-) God Bless, Nathan
-
Among other things they make great canopies for stalls (My Tournament Supply Store) and sculptures (My silver lamp) The slopes are seen here. God Bless, Nathan

The small flexible new pieces are more than welcome! The 'teeth' pieces are now one of my faviourite ever lego pieces and the new 1x1 slopes are also very useful... that said the new one piece wall segmens introduced with KK2 can be melted down and remolded... It isn't the pieces so much as the spirit...The legendary 6080 King's Castle is <insert that tiresome argument> in comparison to most of our MOCs but still encourages building and porvides not only a great looking model but impresssive parts fodder... God Bless, Nathan
-
It also seems too tall for it's width tome, but I'm no expert...It would however blow the SES out of the water if it could get positioned correctly... God Bless, Nathan

This Lugnet post caught my eye: seen here. It's a blue soldier ship called 'The Corinthian' done in blue and white... What do you think pirate lovers? God Bless, Nathan
-
The pirate ships always (unfortunately) stole this price point. Also the Royal Knight Castle is not much more impressive than Eldorado... God Bless, Nathan
-
Very, very nice! I see castle potential in this ship! It looks like it sould easily be transfered between the two themes (something I like in Pirates/Castle). The use of a useless piece is also impressive. The only part I didn't really like was Joe... God Bless, Nathan
-
I would not like a POTC theme because I'm against licenses (creative reasons stressed in some thread somewhere), hate non-yellow figs, and like lego realism (as in 80s/90s) ie I do not like it when Lego strays into fantasy (which POTC is...). I think what I would like to see is fairly predictable: a continuance of the glory days in pre 2003 colours... God Bless, Nathan
-
Don't worry...from recent experience in Castle I'm sure that if Lego restart pirates they will find a way to get a whole lot of bionicle parts andneon figs in there somewhere... Red Beard is probably docked off whatever Nui right now... God Bless, Nathan
