  1. ru·mor ˈro͞omər/ noun noun: rumour; plural noun: rumours; noun: rumor; plural noun: rumors a currently circulating story or report of uncertain or doubtful truth. "they were discussing the rumors of a new sets" This is a thread for rumors. Not wishlists...Not for shooting down information that has yet to be confirmed...Not arguments; who here again actually works for LEGO? So, if anyone would like to add news, or rumors that they can confirm with a source, by all means, feel free to post them. However, if this thread continues on it's current path...Eurobricks might be short a few members real quick. Cool? Super!
  2. How is this news? So will half the world! Keep it on target, or I shall become your shadow...
  3. You are more than welcome to your opinion, and it is just that...YOUR opinion. But do not insult/belittle/humiliate/harass other members for their opinions either. If you come across rudely, don't complain when others do it right back to you. THANKS!!!!!!!!
  4. What is goin' on???

Rough couple months there, but I kicked life's megablocks and am back into the swing of things. Good to see you back Phred!

  5. Really great build Bob! I've been going over the pics and there are so many things I really enjoy on this. As an avid SWTOR fan and player, this build really carries the feel of the ships used throughout the game. I love it man!
  6. I've used it on all the decals I place, so far so good. With regards to ridges and such, it worked very well on profile bricks, but not sure how well it would work over an actual rail plate. Let us know!
  7. So we recently had our LUG's holiday show and I remembered to bring my camera. Thanks for uploading the instructions again... I used Microscale Decals on the cars, O Scale. In motion: And 2 from the yard:
  8. Andy D asked... Would it be more structurally sound (or just as sound) to use Duplo bricks as hidden structure elements or "standard" bricks? As it's been previously stated, a Duplo 2x4 can cover the same area as 8 2x4 standard LEGO bricks. Depending how high you plan to build, enclose them with a level of LEGO bricks every so often. One, it stays nice and secure; clutch power with Duplo isn't the same as with standard LEGO. Two, it also stays even! Considering the cost of Duplo bricks vs "standard" bricks... Which would be more economic choice for a large structure (the hidden elements)? Duplo will work, or use a honey comb method with 2x6 LEGO bricks. I'm using a combination on a build I've got going right now. A baseplate covered in Duplo isn't too heavy, but a box filled with baseplates covered in duplo is very heavy. The 2x6 method is actually very lightweight, but super sturdy. Like I said though, I use a combination depending on what I'm building. Is there an easy way on Bricklink to find the least expensive color in a particular brick style (example 2x4, 2x6, etc. for structure elements, color doesn't matter)? If you play around on Bricklink, there are a lot of different ways to find things. Use the arrows and search functions, they work! Stash
  9. If you choose to spend your money on these, that is of course entirely up to you. What I don't like about these is the fact that many of these designs are clearly stolen from other people who are out there creating custom figures. Many people put quality time into their work and I hate to see others taking credit for work that isn't theirs. Criminal in my opinion.
  10. I've actually ordered from him many times...over the last 8+ years??? His shipping is normal...in that once you pay, he gets them shipped out as soon as possible. Once it goes out though, many other people interact with the package so give it time. I know shipping to Europe usually takes about ten -12 days, australia can take about 8, and Asia is about two weeks. So just be patient. I'd say after three weeks you haven't heard anything, then send a polite email asking about the shipment, but make sure you give all of those post offices some time.
  11. I used to work at a Blockbuster years ago and got asked this question all the time. Two good ones off the top of my head are Poolhall Junkies and Brotherhood of the Wolf. Both are very different. Poolhall Junkies has one of the best speeches by Christopher Walken...ever! BotW is actually a French film with subtitles...but don't let that scare you away if you don't speak French. Watch them both, and then send me a pm to tell me what you thought!
  12. I cannot make the trek up this year with attending Brickworld and blowing through a lot of $$$, but you guys have fun and enjoy the show! Hope it's a huge success!!!
  13. Glad to be back and active again!

  14. Awesome to see more interest from other Norweigans!!!
  15. Best one yet! I love how they get better and smoother each year. Larger update to follow, but thanks to everyone who came out; I hope you all had a great time!!! Feel free to post your synopsis in this thread as I know there are tons of people who are dying to see all the fun that was had. Copmike, AND MANY OTHER EUROPEANS, you were missed...however, next year will be ridiculous! If you guys can make it or are thinking about going...DO EET!!!!!!! Now, time for some GoT and sleep.
  16. I know there will be quite a few if us at the mixer Wednesday night!
  17. Shhhhh. Trying to keep things a surprise...anyone can read these posts! Be sure to check the dates, older threads stay in there.
  18. Well said Cpt...well said! Yes, I know it's a one piece nose, but it looks good flying around a loop.
  19. NICE! I go to the movies to be entertained. I want to see big explosions, I want to follow a story line and maybe be surprised along the way...so this looks really entertaining and I cannot wait. Besides, it's got Mark Wahlberg!
  20. Congrats! Glad to see this happen, glad to be part also. Thanks to everyone that helped!
  21. Yes, I updated this. And yes, it is still an active thread. Sorry about the delay! jodawill and General Magma have solved any and all disputes. Good on you boys!
  22. Well, glad you mentioned something here and posted! Thank you. At least now you'll have a bit more advanced notice as to the hapennings of what's all going on for this year. As for the collab build...we have had some 'interesting' additions in the past, and a few bail outs just before zero hour, so we don't really open it up as an "all ages, every one is invited" type of thing. That being said, I'll be sure to add you to the group tonight. I plan to steal the collab back from Hinckley for next year and have a few ideas already going through my head. We'll keep everyone posted though, don't worry. If you're in town for the Wednesday night mixer, make sure you are there! Too many times, we always end up missing people who said they were there, registered, and we never meet them. Otherwise, be sure to find Dale (or myself) on Saturday at some point. ALMOST HERE!!!
  23. Hey Danny, welcome to Eurobricks (as I see this was your first pos)! I think the only real Eurobricks event was the collaborative build run by Hinckley last year. I guess if you count the Saturday night pizza party, then 2 events. Were you a registered attendee? I ask because, as I'm sure you know from BFV, the attendees are there pretty much the entire weekend and spend most all their time at the event doing different things and meeting/socializing with other attendees. If you only attended on public days then you would have only seen the collaborative layout. I do not know if there was an official EB parts draft last year, but there was our infamous pizza party (shout out to CopMike and DaleDVM as we were the original three!!!). There are enough local people with vehicles that there are constantly runs over to the Woodfield LEGO store (I choose not to go to the other guys). If you are interested in possibly joining the collaborative build, let me know as soon as you can and we can get you involved, as the last day to register for the event as an attendee is Monday the 12th. What else would you be looking for at the event? We try to do a few things, but many attendees are part of multiple groups/clubs/LUGs and we try not to take over as it is Brickworld, not Eurobricks' event.
