I believe Overland Park is already open. Many stores have what they call a "soft open" so that they can make sure all of the computers are working, work out all the kinks, that kinda stuff. Grand Opening date...not quite sure, but I'll see what I can find out.

I wouldn't trust the info from customer service if I were you. FB is backordered, AGAIN (within 6 months), so I wouldn't wait much longer. As for GE, if you don't have one yet, you might want to get that one sooner than later.

This isn't a fan convention like Brickworld - Chicago or Brickfair. This is an actual event put on by TLG. Sorry, but expect 0% off in the store. Those discounts are for fan conventions.

Yes, the hotel does get quite booked up. However, they have screwed with our reservation every year! The worst was last year when 4 of us had 2 rooms reserved and they changed the check in date on us; it was ridiculous!!! Nothing special about the hotel, poor customer service in my opinion so if you can save a few bucks by driving...might be worth it. But that's just my opinion based on every year I've had reservations with them.

Different LUGs work different ways...NILTC being one of the very unique in that we are a LUG, yet also a TC (Train Club). If you've been to a show of ours, none of the layouts reflect or correspond with the one next to it. We give members the opportunity to do their own thing. Drop me a pm and we can discuss it more.

My sincerest apologies for not being present these last few weeks. Duty called and I had many, many things to tend to. However, they have now been dealt with effectively and I am very pleased to be back amongst my Mitgardian associates!
