It's the governor of the Outer Rim territories and commander of the first Death Star, if you're from Boston

If Disney wanted that, they'd have asked for something besides binoculars for Ezra's saber. No, this is about the SHAPE. The Inquisitor's hilt is very unique; Maul's is longer, but a regular hilt piece can hold two blades just fine so they didn't bother making a longer hilt. It might have been as useful, or more, than the new Inquisitor hilt, but the old one did the trick well enough, so it was a low priority.

You can't know that Civil War would be better with Spidey, because you don't know the story of Civil War. The comic is irrelevant.
-
You're missing my point... the comic story is not being applied to the MCU. Peter's role as a masked guy who unmasks and then switches sides does not exist. The movie story shares a name with the comic story, and shares the prominent roles of Tony & Steve, and that government(s) want superheroes to have accountability. That is it. There are no gaps. Nobody is taking Spidey's place, because Spidey's place isn't required.
-
There are no gaps! It's a story about world governments wanting official oversight on superhero activities (what with the whole SHIELD/Hydra thing kinda ruining what existed before), and how Steve and Tony each deal with those developments, along with others (like T'Challa, and whichever other hero-types appear in the film)
-
There's no need for it, tho. And there's no need for an unmasking scene. Some fans want it done, but financially there's not much to be gained. Sony would have to split profits, Marvel would have to split profits, and one or both studios would have to pony up cash for use of the characters. Satisfying the fanboy desire for Spidey to hang out with Avengers isn't worth it for them. And if Spidey did join in, then fans would clamor for Wolverine to join in, complicating matters even further. The MCU is doing amazingly well on its own, and has plenty of fodder for years. They do not need the Spideyverse (or Mutantverse) to sell more tickets or delight audiences worldwide.

75017 isn't current enough for you?

"supposedly". The MCU has been doing gangbusters without Spidey's presence... there's no reason to change that. The Sony continuity--either one of them--is too much of a mess to slot into the MCU. Sony's not likely to sell the rights back entirely, which would essentially reboot Spidey into the MCU. Sony has its own plans for a larger Spideyverse, and they won't wanna share any more profits from that with Disney than they have to, and vice-versa with the MCU. It's a fanboy dream, nothing more. The FF being absent from Civil War isn't a big deal, either, because--again--it's not the same story. Same name, different story, just like AoU, just like Winter Soldier.

Huzzah!

There's really nothing more to say about Spider-Man, tho... Sony has the rights, end of discussion. Civil War--and the MCU as a whole--can work just fine without Spidey in it.

Ezra's helmet is advertised clear as can be in the main picture on the front of the Phantom box; Sabine appears 3 times in the one image we have of the box, and none of them have the helmet.

I feel it must be pointed out that you made one critical error: your rearing Zorro-on-horseback is on a white horse! Tornado's black!

List of Star Wars sets that are retiring!
Venkefedo replied to Something_Awesome's topic in LEGO Star Wars
To be fair, there was another 'standard' version as well, that was inspired by the McQuarrie one but quite different (the wings didn't split, it had 4 wing-mounted round engines like an X-wing, the back was quite rounded as well), but the McQuarrie X-wing was also used in many sources as a Z-95 as well. I never much liked the 'other' one, but always dug the McQ one (particularly as used by Wedge Antilles in "The Phantom Affair" flashbacks). I linked a pic of the McQuarrie X-wing in one of my earlier posts in here, a DS trench production painting... the main difference in the new X-wing is the way the wings split--they still go up & down for the "x", but they split front-to-back rather than top-to-bottom, so when not in attack position the wings are thin, sitting flush together. I like TCW's version, too; it has some elements of the old concepts, some of the 'other' standard EU Z-95 I described, and some elements of other old planes. Fun ship! But I'm glad we'll be getting the old concept one, too... it'll proudly sit alongside my TCW Z-95 & 2012 X-wing -
You obviously haven't read the books. In HTTE, Grand Admiral Thrawn finds one of the Emperor's storehouses within Mount Tantiss on the planet Wayland; within the storehouse are a series of Spaarti Cloning Cylinders. Selecting the finest troops from among his fleet, Thrawn puts the cylinders to use, rapidly cloning a great army of stormtroopers, with the aid of ysalamiri harvested from the planet Myrkr.

That's the thing, tho, the design is from the past! It's not someone going "Hey, let's merge the Z-95 from the Clone Wars with an OT X-wing and make a new X-wing!", it's someone going "Hey, let's take a cue from the Rebels artists and mine the old concept art for stuff to use in the new films! I'm not disputing that it's an X-wing... I'm just saying that for a couple decades, that 'concept X-wing' was known and accepted by thousands of SW fans as a Z-95 Headhunter... and while the inevitable Lego set will have "X-wing" on the box, many fans may throw a Han Solo, random pilot, or custom Mara Jade into the cockpit of the ship and call it a Z-95, and they would be correct in doing so. It's just a Legends Z-95 now. -
Have we seen the back of the box? I know the top & front are visible, but if she had her helmet you'd think one of the lineups (top or front) would feature it, if the action shot didn't (The Phantom, for instance, shows Ezra's helmet in the action-shot, but not in either lineup/scale pic)

The Clone Wars Z-95 is the only remaining canon version, yes, but prior to the introduction of that design, most EU sources depicted the McQuarrie X-wing as the Z-95 Headhunter... and that is what is in Episode VII, now recast as a 'new' X-wing. Not a hybrid, as it's based on preproduction art from before ANH even hit theaters. -
There may not be a "Spidey spot". Again, the Age of Ultron comic has no real influence on the Age of Ultron movie, so the same likely holds true for Civil War.
-
You're assuming the MCU Civil War is going to greatly resemble the comic Civil War. Spider-Man isn't necessary for the movie version. Think about it, most superheroes in the MCU are already working for the government, directly or indirectly, or are at least known by the government. The premise could be very different. Age of Ultron, the movie, has nothing to do with Hank Pym or a time-traveling Wolverine & Invisible Woman, key parts of the AoU comic. Bottom line, MCU doesn't need Spidey or the rest. They've got plenty of stuff in their favor.

The Episode VII X-wing isn't exactly a hybrid; it's a straight-up pre-TCW Z-95, aka a McQuarrie X-wing. I think it'll be a couple years before we see a new OT X-wing. They were overpriced... Well, the V-wing certainly felt that way. I think the Imperial V-wing from a few years ago was only $20, and this one has a part count of, what, 201? With only a pilot & astromech, just like the Imp one. The Vulture Droid had more pieces I think, but still felt small. I kept hoping for nice discounts on them at Target or on Amazon, but either I missed them or they never really had decent discounts... The V-wing is on sale for about $20 at Target for the next couple weeks, so there's that! Still seems like a strange decision to retire them so soon. -
Nope. She's got white eyes, and some marks that are likely her Microseries/comic tattoos I guess. About all I could tell from the one pic we've got of the final set.
-
Great explanation! Better than my floundering around. The rest of the galaxy may not know or care about the differences between Jedi & Sith--most probably have never even heard the term "Sith", and those who've witnessed any magical feats of Vader or the Inquisitor are probably too terrified to dare refer to them "Jedi" out loud, either, but just because the normal people of the galaxy don't know the differences between Jedi, Sith, and other Force-users doesn't mean those differences don't exist. That goes for the fans, too!
-
They'll likely tackle her again in a Summer 2015 set, with helmet (but probably no hair...and it'll probably be a $50+ set)
-
Because she's not. She never claims to be Sith, Sidious & the rest don't consider her Sith. She doesn't follow the Sith traditions or teachings. Just because someone can use the Force doesn't make them a Jedi, so it goes that just because someone uses the dark side--lightning or not--doesn't make them a Sith. Filoni was pretty clear on that.
