  1. I’m guessing it’s a combination of both cost and size. The hand that can clip or hold is already ‘oversized’ and adding moving parts like a minifigure hand would increase production costs
  2. Clearly we need more Scottish dog breeds. We only have the terriers and retriever so far, so collie and deerhound are a good shout :) IF we get a ‘big’ dog breed though, I very much hope they do something a bit better in terms of relative size.
  3. Good call. Perhaps a Coco Chanel tribute figure? I was confused that they brought out the latest dog mould as a retriever, rather than a smoother version to be a Labrador. That would have been a much better one to reuse for a Dalmatian.
  4. No, although the previous Forest Police theme (2012 I think) was pretty close (and introduced the grizzly bear). A forest revisit could make use of a bunch of new animal moulds that have appeared since.
  5. Thank you. Can’t believe those threads had to get locked, rather than the intolerance dealt with.
  6. So, since City (and other themes) has been furnishing us pretty regularly with new dog moulds - I wonder what type of dog will show up next? We now have a whopping eight different dog moulds (shepherd, chihuahua, husky, French bulldog, terrier, bulldog, dachshund, retriever) introduced over the last ten years, and each with at least two colour or print variants. Arguably we are long overdue for some variety in the cat department, but as an unashamedly dog person, I’m much more interested in them. I think the next one to make an appearance will either be a poodle, or a skinny greyhound/ whippet. We are also overdue something with long ears like a spaniel. My own preference however would be for something much more ‘scruffy mutt’ and non breed specific.
  7. Agreed. Part of me thinks that both or either could show up in a forest themed set of some kind, alongside stag, owls, mouse, eagle, etc. The hare is a possible animal in a winter village set. And either could be in CMF.
  8. I do not like the excessive, blatant, in-your-face heteronormativity of so many Lego sets and products.
  9. Both of which would easily fit in a CMF bag as an accessory. Just saying …
  10. Would also be kind of interesting to know why they didn’t bring it in with the wildlife rescue theme if that’s the case …
  11. Folks in the U.K. might like to know that an ‘XXL’ Lego City magazine is currently in stores with the 30370 polybag, featuring a diver, coral, undersea scooter and the stingray. Retailing at £4.99. Guess it might also be available in other countries
  12. Just to share in case it’s of use to anyone in the U.K. (I guess it might be available elsewhere too) the 30370 City polybag (diver with stingray, coral and small undersea scooter) is available on a Lego City magazine in newsagents and other retailers. It’s labelled as ‘giant series’ and as an ‘XXL magazine’ and retailing at £4.99 … and it seems to be retailing concurrently alongside a smaller version of the magazine with a foil pack with diver w’out stingray at the ‘standard’ £3.99 price.
  13. Swashbuckler? Shakespeare? Abraham Lincoln? Musketeer? Forestman / Robin Hood?
  14. Agree with this, the emergence of the new sheep also adds weight to it being likely. Also would not be surprised if the new Lifeguard /coastal stuff made use of some of the newer ocean animals
  15. Agreed on all points. Think there are maybe some omissions too, and it’s a bit arbitrary which brick built animals from sets are considered ‘animals’… e.g. why does the brick built creator moose get in, but not the chickens, ducks or gulls?
  16. I found this site today, which I think is very useful and interesting. https://www.minifig-pictures.be/controler/c_MenuAnimal.php It has a very broad definition of what it includes as ‘animals’ (everything from dinosaurs, to Friends, to Minecraft & mohawk variants!) - really fascinating to see the animals and their new variants arranged year by year though. Definitely some years recently have been real bumper years!
  17. I imagine famous actors spend a lot of time raging about their lack of Lego immortalisation - whilst Warwick Davis laughs in their general direction.
  18. An Indiana Jones CMF 😍 … now that you’ve suggested it, I NEED it to happen…
  19. I really don’t think that the lack of potential characters would be a reason not to have a Disney CMF 3 (and beyond). Literally hundreds of potential options available to them.
  20. Fun fact - both new monkeys are dual moulded - so the face / ears colour is a separate colour injected into the mould. That means the only printed bit are the facial features. It also means the er anti-stud underside of the monkey shows the other colour.
  21. Nice was just thinking it might be fun to put together a visual timeline of when animals were introduced - maybe a picture for each year with new moulds and colours/prints ? now, who has them aaaaaaaaall to be able to do this?
  22. Could it be ‘ Reef Police ‘? Maybe we are getting a coastal based police subtheme ? 🤷🏽‍♂️
  23. Same. But technically, it’s a ‘parliament’, not a flock ;)
  24. Yeah ... so they reused the Bigfoot / yeti headpiece from the CMFs, it was ... not good. Do look them up. I defy you to want them 😂
  25. Think this is a really nice idea, and I’d really welcome these additions. Might be worth following the thread about animal moulds. I’ve no idea how Lego decides what moulds work - but, for example, it’s hard to see the present deer mould being repurposed as an antelope (with different horns). Though they sure could have designed it that way. Seems that they are getting more specific and specialised with many animals, such as hermit crab, skunk and chameleon, not to mention all the dog breeds, so I’m finding it hard to imagine a standard standing bird mould that would work across species, but would love to see such a thing.
