Here's an "alternate" solution, because I was beaten :B LXF The container has been left to one side, with red 1x2 plates placed inside the recesses for the blue slopes. These should allow the container to be positioned (try it!), then the colour selection tool can be used to remove them. The original 1x2 tiles have been added to a subgroup of the container to allow them to be replaced easily.

While we are on the subject of stressful connections with connector pegs, I have been frustrated by a situation where part 88072 (Plate 1x2 with Vertical Shaft) is required to be inserted into 4274 (Connector Peg with Knob). This occurs in set 5761 - Mini Digger, and I've had to stock up on a few 4274s because they keep cracking.

Thanks legolijntje & Superkalle. Seeing that this is an illegal technique, I don't think it's important to make the connection with part 32054 in the LXF, so I will leave it to one side and reference these last few posts in the error list.

This grey fullwidth technic beam cannot be inserted into the gap between the halfwidth black technic beams, due to a conflict which seems to affect modified connector peg parts 6558, 32054 and 32556. Unfortunately, some official instructions rely on a connection like this. I encountered it while trying to attach the fork for the motorbike model in set 4404 - Land Busters. I can't even successfully place the connector peg with a scaffolding then build around it. Nothing works. I'm just about ready to go outside and kick a car.

Agh, I described "Trimming non-transparent areas" wrong. It works just as you describe - "trimimage (0)" will trim all horizontal and vertical borders which are transparent (or even a solid colour), leaving just the centre part of the image with all the detail. The zero controls the tolerance, so higher values should work even on JPGs with compression artifacts. The script can be executed online, but yes, I run it on my laptop using a nice local webhost package called XAMPP. Because ImageMagick is a commandline app, it can be used easily with many scripting languages, so perhaps Python or something similar might be easier than setting up a localhost just to use PHP. EDIT: There is an even easier way, and it was right under my nose: ImageMagick includes a commandline tool called "mogrify", which is suited for batch processing. Best of all, it's cross-platform! mogrify -trim -fuzz 0 +repage -thumbnail 256x256 *.png This will do the same trim and resize operations on a directory of files as the PHP script above, BUT it will overwrite the original files.

Heh, I remember reading about this in the 4.3.5 thread, and didn't think anything of it, since I wasn't really sure if I needed the feature. I must be doing something wrong with it, because it very rarely imports more than 1 of each item, but that's not really a problem. Custom brick palettes are already a brilliant alternative to spending 15mins-1hr just picking bricks! I like it! It looks as though it contains some untamed power. The black version has a Batmobile feel to it, but I think the others show the details much better.

Gnaar, this is what happens when you use somebody else's "A" model to save time picking parts. I'm now apprehensive about uploading my B and C models for set 7346 - Seaside House, since there are issues with this verdant menace. I can't find certain parts in LDD's basic mode by searching for their unique numbers, as listed in the official instructions for set 7346. I know that the 16x16 baseplate (which CAN be found) is the new bright green, and is listed alongside a lot of other pieces which are probably in the standard green. Updated 5771 B & C anyways.
