  1. Plus the Centaur torso looks like it can be used for male or female minifigures, which is good.
  2. They are now finding stocks of sought after sets that were previously unavailable during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday promotions. Yesterday the Tantive IV 75244 was not available, even on backorder. Today, it is in stock, available for shipping. Same with a few other larger sets. Either they were holding stuff back, or they have little to no planning in their stock system.
  3. Finding things I wanted to get the recent promos was difficult due to out of stock current sets. I ended up going with items I think I can sell on rather than items I actually want.
  4. There is an existing thread for UK sales. Better discounts from other UK retailers have been available for the few sets they sell.
  5. No, they are Danish. Instructions are in multiple languages. Although as with most LEGO parts, they are made in other countries. Plus Heroica figures do have arms, they are just next to the sides of the body. You see those bulges at the sides of the torso? They are arms.
  6. Or you could go for something like this one ... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cambridgeshire-51310566
  7. Maybe they just got the sheet or took the picture packet in a factory.
  8. Yes, and the Elf Clubhouse has been out of stock / backordered for some time. So more evidence that the black boxes work. Or maybe proof that they are not making enough of these sets.
  9. Maybe they originally intended to have a little finger on there as well using that pin. Then decided against it and didn't bother updating the rest of the hand.
  10. It's fine to be influenced by other builds.
  11. I think the facade is great. It is a nice classical design and will go nicely with the other classical looking ones. I'm not a fan of the narrow buildings. The shop is not too bad, but the heavily set back jail part is going to look a bit odd when another building is put up against it. I also cannot work out why the walls inside do not go to the ceilings. I can see they use the new curved parts nicely to smooth the walls, but why have a gap between a police station and the shop? There are some lovely details inside, the phone and typewriter are particularly nice prints.
  12. Just a bag? The Millennium Falcon came with wheels!
  13. The kid and the adult are different characters, as the eyebrows have changed colour.
  14. Is Police Office ever used? I've never heard of it. Police Station would be fine. who cares about the overlap of the initials.
  15. ^ There is no real (practical) difference between forest and woods. Forests tend to be bigger in area than woods, but something on this scale could be either.
  16. I don't think so. In fact, I don't think they were ever meant to be sold that way as they do not appear in sets like that so they have probably just closed that route to getting them.
  17. Not if you only collect official Lego modulars. If Lego avoid buildings that people have MOCed, the modular are dead.
  18. Or he'll just not post with that ID any more, and set up another one for next time.
  19. It would look great next to the Fire Brigade if it is real. I know sometimes tags are wrong or misleading, but appearing on an official LEGO account is different to some guy on the internet and I hope it is true.

    [MOC] Minifig Mover

It looks a bit like the baggage carousel at an airport, with people riding it when they shouldn't be.
  21. The Laketown sets were decent enough for the size of the sets. Sure they could have been better / bigger at a higher price point, but they were enough to convey the scene. Of course, every LOTR and Hobbit set would have been great if they were all $300 sets, but then the whole series would have been very expensive. If the goodness of a set is based on its size, then the smaller ones will always be seen as not very good. I'd prefer a small (300 piece) Lake-Town than a 300 piece Lonely Mountain or Battle of the Five Armies set. There were also complaints that those two were too small, even though they were the larger price points. Making them even smaller would not have gone down well. I don't think LEGO ever claimed there was no demand for Middle Earth or Castle sets. That scene was meant to be in the first movie, but they were split into three instead of two movies. That is why LEGO sold this set as a "trilogy preview set". The killing of Smaug is a fairly important action scene, which is probably why LEGO decided to have an extension to Lake-Town with the ballista.
  22. It is very unlikely that they would make any modular that would naturally fit into a town street*, no matter what the subject, through IDEAS so it has little chance anyway. * so that excludes the Blacksmith and Fishing Shack.
  23. I don't know if you realise or not, but it is 2020. If it turns out to be a police station and you don't want a police station, then don't buy it, and wait until 2022 for the next one. There have been ZERO police modulars so far.
  24. I think you mean visible disabilities. Many people have disabilities that are just not visible unlike those with a seeing eye dog, a cane or wheelchair.
  25. Maybe the vivarium is the toilet.
