  1. Seem like a whole lot of people do. But anyways, I am also working on (if a I can call it that ) a free-build (Damaximus's trip to Mitgardia).
  2. Same here, I tipically just open right into GoH too And thanks, ZC
  3. I had been planing on post on this for a long time, anyways, love it all (especially the story ) Excellent castle in the first build, and it is great to see so many extra builds The floor design in the third build is outstanding too.
  4. I agree with Gideon, I actually like that border a good deal. I like how you made the castle look like it was in the mountains, without making the mountains too tall I might have said this before, but I would suggest separating your light (and dark) bluish gray bricks from the older gray bricks (non-bluish ones), so that the wall is all the same color. Anyways, nice build, I enjoy the variety of pieces you used on the walls.
  5. Yea, I don't post as much in other places as I should probably, only in a couple of topics that interest me. I could try to post in the Historic theme section more, but I also lack motivation (and time) to do very much anywhere else.
  6. I don't think it should be necessary, but it is a good idea... some of my first builds were also Walls of Valholl. Nice first build, Str0ngbad!
  7. Ok, sorry that it took so long, but the video is working now (thanks, ZC). I might have said this before, but does anyone know whether or not this will count as a freebuild or not?
  8. You have really mastered LDD, Yooha, at least the last time I tried it (about two years ago ) it didn't turn out very nicely. I especially like the pic with all the wall segments together.
  9. 1) Cowgirl Entry (Build by Yatkuu) - 1 point 20) Actor Entry (Build by Kai NRG) - 1 point 24) Businessman Entry (Build by Darkblane) - 1 point
  10. 18) Bunny Suit Guy Entry (Build by genecyst) - 1 point 26) Bride Entry (Build by lisqr) - 1 point 27) Bunny Suit Guy Entry (Build by Emma) - 1 point
  11. 7) Cyclops Entry (Build by Plissken) - 1 point 10) Chicken Suit Guy Entry (Build by Clanure) - 1 point 30) Battle Mech Entry (Build by lisqr) - 1 point
  12. Ok, I see that now (I hadn't seen any cracks between the bricks before, so that is why I thought it was all one piece).
  13. Nice LDDs, Yooha. Personally, my favorites are the Bakery and the Mint, the other one is a little plain. I really like the Bakery roof, and the oven is very well done to. BTW, what is the piece used to hold the croissant in place on the Bakery sign? It looks like a bigger version of a 4 into 1 jumper (if you know what that is).
  14. Nice work, Yooha, but I actually did two wall sections (here's the second, Minstrels of Mitgardia). I didn't pick numbers, so just put them at 22 and 23.
  15. The fact is, that was really the first time I ever bricklinked anything, so I went ahead and got a bunch of useful pieces, probably the best things were 100 1x4 Brown tiles and 100 trans-clear dots. (I should have gotten about 1000 trans-blue ones too, it hadn't occurred to me).
  16. Nice build, DM. I am actually quite glad you changed your sig-figs face (now I can build him ), so I hope you wouldn't mind a visit to Mitgardia one of these fine days...
  17. Same here, I like incorporating Mitgardian colors into a build if possible. Actually, when I joined Mitgardia I had plenty of yellow flags but no green ones, so that was the very next thing I Bricklinked (along with a whole lot of other things, of course ).
  18. Thanks Gideon, I'm surprised everyone likes the buildings inside Cedrica so much (they were built at the last minute, at least pretty much).
  19. Thanks, guys, I first thought of this with the entering Cedrica build . Inspiration comes mostly from rogueang's run for Mitgardian PM (that's one of the reasons Lord Varis is in the third build).
  20. Welcome to Mitgardia, Yooha (and all the rest). "Retaking Cedrica" is up now: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=82310
  21. Ok, well, I finally got around to finishing the story for this. I have had a lot of fun with this. Enjoy. Uridius Dratiphe, To the most Noble, Illustrious, ect. ect., Elon Chorian, ___________________________________ May 3rd Most noble Sir, having experienced some rather extraordinary incidents, it behooves me to disclose them to you in the form of this letter. Having, many moons ago, prepared those under my command for any sudden attack or military procedures preformed by our most excellent Guild of Mitgardia, I responded with alacrity to a summons to the wall of Cedrica, penned in a most noble hand, which I took to be your own, given me by a handsome young noble of Nocturnus or some such dark place, being sure to recompense him duly for his pains in delivering the message. In a few days time we encamped in front of Cedrica, whose impregnable towers stared down at us mockingly. With its gigantic walls, under which flowed the waters of the Adeler, it seemed as though the city could hold out for years. My brother, who thinks himself a cunning planner, suggested a strategy that might have worked. It did not. Nevertheless, there is no need for unnecessary details. Whatever things it did not accomplish for us, it did reward us with rather water-logged clothes and, fortunately, a passage into the city. Therefore, without further ado, we marched off toward the palace, where, in the banquet hall - so the messenger had said - Victor and his accomplices were to be partying that very night. Crash! Crash! And yet again, Crash! The sound of breaking glass filled the room as King Darconius' most trusted nobles sprang up in alarm. Through the windows and doors my soldiers came pouring in, each man fainting or standing petrified as he entered. "So, you have been able to make it, Murdius, no, a - Urimditus - or is it Uridius, now?" questioned the king. "Why the fact is, I sent my - my what's-his-name, you know him, of course - to invite you to this thingy-ma-jigger, in celebration of - oh, what is his name? - of his demise, you know - but as he reported that you were out fighting some what-it's-called, I expected, that is, you see... but it is indeed most excellent of you to take us by surprise this way!" and the king looked round on the other guests - among whom were Masa of Kaliphlin, Lord Varis of the Rustling Leaves Clan, and others of exalted station. And so, most noble leader of Mitgardia, we found we had invited ourselves to King Darconius' feast, but it ended well, for an excellent supper terminated the night, and we were all quite sad upon leaving that evening - the king remarking, "Yes, time does indeed fly - or as my good friend Trian Burress used to say - 'Tempus fungus something re-what's-his-name.' " Whereat we all agreed that there was much wisdom in Burress' words. And with this I take my leave, most noble Elon, hoping that you have been pleased in the reading of my exploits, signing myself, Your most humble, loyal, etc., servant, etc., Uridius Dratiphe More pictures: The Messenger: Entering Cedrica (getting "waterlogged" ) Uridius Dratiphe's reception: King Darconius, Lord Varis, Gideon and Cara: Dr. Rod and Kabel (eating all the fish): C&C are welcome, more pics at my flickr.
  22. I agree with the others, it would be nice to have Varlyrio opened for membership, especially since (at least supposing your Challenge VI entry wins ) Varlyrio has an important roll in the next part of GoH.
  23. Very nice run-down tower, Capitan Nemo! I like the vines and trees running up the side, and again, great falcon! Good story, too.
  24. Thanks, Infernum! Here's a teaser That has a lot to do with my challenge VI entry, so here goes:
  25. Ok, I've got a teaser up, let's see who can guess what I'm doing : Coming Soon.
