  1. Thanks, I had seen a painting done like that so I decided to experiment
  2. As long as there are sympathizing souls in Mitgardia ready to support such projects! The need being met in this way leaves plenty of opportunity for the peasants to work. And the only reason for us to step in is because of their heartless taskmasters who do not provide them with the money to do such things themselves! If Manaor has solutions, we would like to see them! Long term is very well in it's way, but postponing to some future date and calling it long term will never satisfy the Mitgardian public! Is Manaor really not rich? Methinks such a tremendous castle indicates either wealth or debt! And while Manaor kicks up his feet in some fancy apartment, Mich is out building stoves and clearing streets! Mitgardians, since when have you wished for a color-blind Prime-minister? Does not Mr. Larsson think that the Kaliphlinian flag is red and bright blue, though not even he could really believe that sunsets are green and yellow?! Mr. Larson, only one Kaliphlin has pledged their support. (The same Kaliphlin also said they would vote for Manaor.) And yet another Kaliphlin said they would vote for Manaor. Where, oh "righteous one", does the evidence lead? Mr. Larson, Kaliphlins (and you) are not the only people with money, believe it or not! There are a few well to do Mitgardians who support WARM and myself! If however the righteous one were elected, there would be very few Mitgardians with money left, due to your extreme overtaxation techniques! Mr. Larson, we do by no means propose to melt away all Mitgardian snow, only that small portion which overlaps our roads and renders traveling difficult. What good, I pray you, would all the roads you propose to build and repair be if they are buried in three feet of snow! Mr. Larson, the only thing I promise the Kaliphlins is the security of having a neighbor who is not fickle, and will not unrighteously oppress it's people! Mr. Larson, though thou beest the rig-theuos one, I AM NOT RIGGED! As an aside, Larrson and Manaor do get along quite well together, the weaker will always band together against the stronger! Be prepared for the consequences!
  3. Not at all! Those stoves are not paid for by the government. WARM is a private enterprise paid for by Mich himself and some equally benevolent colleagues. Mich Maxersine is helping peasants out of his own free will. And don't forget that freezing peasants don't make good workers! Freezing Prime Ministers don't work well either. I'm sure Manaor could use a true northern stove. (If he's below poverty level Mich can pay for it.) Wait for it ! Since when has a sunset become Kaliphlin? Mitgardian sunsets are renowned for their bright colors. Lars Larsson is rigging everything! Why else would he claim to be the rig-theous one! Mich Maxersine is fair and unbiased!
  4. Anything that's not really important just post in my thread, but if you're going to write a speech or something that you want "in the books", it would probably be best to write it here.
  5. Equal chances for what, for Larsson to stare at you (check out the builds)? Mich didn't say anything about the rich, this is about the private sector! Vote Mich if you want Freedom!
  6. Thanks, credit for the house design goes to Burri The "view" was actually supposed to be a painting and about snow and ice, we like them, just not in the streets Thanks, I believe all Historicans can vote (at least they could last time) and the "true northern stove" BTW, is not a figment of my imagination, it is actually a remake of a Russian stove All historicans who want high taxes and nothing done vote Larsson Want Action? Vote Mich! Thanks, de Gothia! @SK, Thanks, I think we need a bit more action up here Lots of Kaliphlinians wanting to visit Mitgardia nowadays
  7. Ladies, gentlemen, fellow Historicans! Mitgardia's Inseparable Companion is Here! As we approach a new election, let us reconsider our goals and make sure we are not being duped into merely following the candidate who makes the most lavish promises! We don't want just words, we want someone who will do! We don't just want cold promises, we want fiery action! Mich Maxersine is the only candidate truly committed to putting fire into Mitgardia! Why should you vote for Mich? Are you struggling to make ends meet? Among a long catalogue of items, Mich Maxersine has always promoted societies such as WARM (Warming All Resident Mitgardians), and with his own hands helped construct true northern stoves for the poor of Mitgardia: Are you a rich businessman? Mich has been very active in keeping Mitgardia's traffic and wealth transporting through the guild with ease! He has helped in keeping the roads clear and snow-free, even inventing the fabled snow-blower, melting snow with a tornado of hot air! Are you a proud noble? Mich Maxersine is committed to keeping Mitgardia's military strong! To do so he has implemented small beacon fires in all recruiting offices, making soldiering a pleasure! Mitgardia's Inseparable Companion is Here! Be sure you get the Max from your vote! Vote Mich Maxersine! If, by any chance, you are still not convinced, just click here!
  8. So, you want to know why you should vote for Mich Maxersine? Well, you've come to the right place! Mich Maxersine will keep Mitgardia's streets free of snow and ice with his all new wonder-working hot-air-blower! Melts the snow in record time! Definitely one of those 'Wonders of Historica'! We all know that soldiers dreaded the recruiting office way back when. A glance before Mich came and warmed every thing up shows us. Look at it! Just dreadful! No wonder the scribes were so grouchy! And the poor recruits! But then, Mich installed small beacon fires in strategic locations. They've worked wonders! Now the officers can actually enjoy their work! And soldiering is a pleasure! (Take a look behind the scenes here!) And don't forget Mitgardia's peasants! Poor souls, they practically froze every winter! That is, until Mich Maxersine and WARM (Warming All Resident Mitgardians) stepped in. Mich Maxersine has aided in the construction of dozens of Mitgardian stoves! So what are you waiting for! Vote Mich Maxersine today!
  9. Speeding on roller skates?!
  10. Ha, ha Anyways, could you extend the deadline till Monday (I don't need the time for building, it is just that the internet I have works very slowly at the end of the month so it would take forever to upload if I tried now )
  11. Excellent (and gigantic) siege engine, those wheels look very good The tree and foliage are very cool as well
  12. The end of the month (it might have been September 1st, I'm not sure )
  13. Great build the oak tree combines with the tower very well Nice foliage and irregular base as well
  14. Awesome build, the monsters back looks very real and makes it look as though the monster is huge The Dark-Trans water looks very good and nice border. Great minifig posing and story as well In short, great job
  15. I'm just finishing my first vig (about 18 x 22 studs) today and the other two (the second one is already started) will be interior scenes, so they shouldn't take so long (I hope ). What took a while with the first one was that I was trying to decide whether to make it a scene or not... I should be done with all three by the end of next week though ... I better be
  16. Great lighting, the forest looks very real Nice Minifig posing too
  17. Thanks Thanks, the SNOT black bottom worked nicely as a reflector (like water, was the idea ).
  18. Very nice build, probably your best yet. It looks very Avalonian, the trees look good, the wall texture is great BTW, in the first pic you can barely see the minifigs, was that on purpose
  19. I'll be signing up for this one too, though I may not have very much time to build on it I'll try to get a character up some time soon
  20. Great idea, my favorite rooms are the War Strategy and Education rooms. As for the fighting practice part, the ground looks a bit bare, a little more texture could help (and de Gothia sure looks like he is going to pound the tar out of his sons ).
  21. I think Mitgardia isn't really that heavy about claiming territory and building cities... so I don't think that there will be very many Mitgardian shields. However, I might do one if I have much time
  22. Nice build, the wall texture is good, however the black dots on the ground look a little odd. Maybe brown dots would look better? The catapults are well positioned and nice minifig posing too
