Stupendous and hilarious build Mass, fantastic fire and smoke and excellent expression on that scout's face! Superb vegetation as well, the bamboo leaves look very good! -
Great build MKJ, the reedy water looks very good! I'm wondering why hardly anyone has weapons, though

Excellent vegetation and great job on the shed BMS, superb photography (as usual ) too! -
Thanks LD! Thanks LJ! This was a very hurried build, but I suppose I'll be able to edit it a little since Ska extended the deadline... Thanks Maxim! Thanks SK! I certainly agree about the time part, this was probably the fastest build I've ever made My current lack of pieces also influenced the not-so-detailed landscape, but I'll go ahead and polish it up a bit as the deadline has been extended! I really do appreciate a comment that contains constructive criticism though - thanks again!

[G:K12, U vs HC] The Storming of Ras-El-Akhen
Garmadon replied to Garmadon's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thanks all! @Ska, could you change the title to "Storming The Fortress"? I hope that the alterations in the story make it work as a guerrilla build Thanks blufiji, I'm glad you like it! Thanks! I think it shouldn't really matter whose team the build is for though! Thanks! It was actually Kai's idea to keep the crossbow built for the pic Thanks LV! Maybe tan would have been I good idea, but I wanted a color that contrasted a little more with the tan wall Thanks Gideon! According to the thread: So I figured the Great Disturbance and Civil War would count Thanks LJ! True, true, I was wondering that myself But seriously, I suppose that it was some sort of flaming missile - what kind of crossbow shoots flames anyways!? Thanks Maxim! I have edited the story so that it hopefully fits the guerrilla idea a bit better Thanks SK, it is my favorite build too! They all actually have faces, but were looking the other direction, and I hadn't realized that they all looked blank in the pics! Thanks dG! Thanks a lot Gunman, I'm glad you like it! Thanks Kai!- 18 replies

Marching rapidly, the Ulander thirteenth legion soon came into sight of the fortress they were after - a small castle some little distance from Ras-El-Akhen which supplied the city with grain and weapons. As the fiery bolts of Ageven's giant crossbow continued to play on the walls, the Ulanders begin to storm the breach through the cloud of arrows being shot by the defenders... A close-up shot of the build: And a bonus pic with part of Kai's crossbow: This is my joint guerrilla attack on K12 with Kai NRG I would like to receive UoP credit for: History 1 Military Science - siege Thanks for viewing, C&C are welcome!

Challenge IV FACTION MINI CHALLENGE (EXTENDED ONE WEEK)

Here is my entry, Carrying The Wall- 51 replies

The Storming Legion: The new Thirteenth Legion of Ulandus is made up almost exclusively of heavy infantry, though there are a few cavalry and light troops sometimes used on scouting missions. There suits are dark brown and gold. Besides other exploits, such as capturing a High Council supply train, finding a Desert King spy, catching a jun-away jester, and taking a High Council fortress by storm, the Thirteenth Legion carried a strongly fortified stone wall held by the Desert King's troops, thereby gaining for themselves their title: "The Storming Legion!" A close-up: Thanks for viewing, C&C are welcome!

Very nice build and story Jakorin! That type of door in a palisade looks a little odd though for the approval! -
Great build Adair, I really like the story's twist with the main character not being the winner Nice work with the base as well, though the tree might have been improved by a few lower branches. for the approval!

Challenge IV, Category C explained. RULES THREAD
Garmadon replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
It might be a good idea to give the cities the same amount of counter time that the square is worth (one week for a square worth only one, two for one worth two, etc.) Since the attackers would have to come up with the two or three guerrilla's the same week (Ok, they could hypothetically take a few weeks to build it, but I don't think we will be seeing that a whole lot) and the idea is not to have five times as many counters for a guerrilla attack I think this would work well. Then anyone who made a guerrilla against Petraea would need to give the counters four weeks to respond - that certainly ought to be enough I'm afraid that's about right! -
Excellent tre-bucket Kai, awesome work making it look realistic (besides the fact that it actually works )!
