  1. Love the overall feel of this! Great use of the old landing gear, always loved that part. the suit display as already mentioned is very nice with the bat symbol above it. The overall look is very comic like in some way and I really do like it! Well done,
  2. The clips whilst an annoyance being larger are now much more sturdy and can hold a panel up in a position whilst the old ones to my knowledge and experience just sort of "flopped" The 1x4 panels I had noticed rounded corners on but not the 1x2 I can see no use for this apart from saving minuscule amounts of ABS maybe its easier to mould that way? It's a shame as the 1x2 could previously be used to make a non ending fence or boarder but not it would have many dips? As for the clips I think the newest design is best, it was the good tight hold of the oldest one but is just a thicker stronger design I have never had a problem with the thin o-rings though and cannot see why it would need change?
  3. Maybe we should compare climates? or locations, I have had 0 problems with LEGO products breaking in normal use (forgiving droid arms) Living in Great Britain the temperatures are never too extreme and they stay quite similar it is not very dusty here or polluted as I live near the sea in a non industrial town Could it be man made environmental factors?
  4. If it's free LEGO in any newspaper... I would buy it You don't need to read it just give it away
  5. I would not have it in me to do something like this, It must take somebody with a real disrespect for others or no good in them at all, a shame society has drooped so low these days
  6. I can see how that is a much stronger part now with I assume more grip also, But I suppose it sacrifices the ability to make off-set towers and open centre towers? One I am unsure of and would like somebody with better knowledge to clear up is Trans-clear 1x2 bricks, are they all without centre stem or do some have one and other not? As I see brick link listings sometimes saying "1x2 trans-red without bottom tube" or similar
  7. Welcome Dutchy! You will not find a nicer place to discuss and post your MOC's than here at Euro bricks a fine group of people! I look forward to seeing your MOC and hope you gather alot of information from his wonderful resource! I know I have :) welcome once again, Liam
  8. I really adore the compact interior and the overall sleek finish. Great job!
  9. It has its up's and downs when you look at it from a torch angle it is all very well and a improved part, But as a multifunctional part the older one is the victor, I am unsure why the change was made but would speculate it was to give a better hold in the new telescope/torch holders and other places as the parts that protruded from the original did sometimes become a nuisance and cause the part to be unstable in its fixture.
  10. What a load of SNOT! I can't get my head around some of the angles and upside down bricks in this. Overall it makes for a very sleek complicated shape which is very pleasing and sci-fi. Very true to the source material too Love the sandwiched engines!
  11. Hi, I have sometimes found myself baffled by parts so I thought a topic for parts which have been "phased out" or "replaced" would be helpful Here are a couple examples of what I mean A completely changed design which upset a few fans of the older space themes. Old New A change to the base which no longer allows connection the old dragon/crocodiles mouth sized hole Old New There are more and I am currently researching and remembering the few I have noticed in the past few years. (If this topic is inappropriate or felt unneeded by any of the staff members feel free to contact me or take it down)
  12. Beautiful colour scheme! The black and white at the captains room is very sharp and elegant. This makes me wish I was building ships! I will be following this thread, I'm a conformist!! *What happened there? if a moderator could PM me to let me know what I have done wrong? my "I'm a conformist!!" changed*
  13. Well presented very clean looking MOC. I love the rails on the side, Wonderful looking engines on the rear, Good use of shapes on the front to create a shaped grill. My only dislike on this is the sprinkle of tan parts but that's being picky and I had to really look for something I did not like!
  14. It is quite fair for LEGO to ask for receipts as there are many people who would otherwise abuse the system, You cannot expect to take a shirt back to a shop if it falls apart and you have no receipt and LEGO is at the end of the day a business, I think quality control is above average in LEGO when it comes to the toy industry as with products from other companies such as The halo figures from McFarlane Toys priced at £11.00 each I purchased many of these and they literally fell apart whilst being removed from the packaging, When I was younger G.I joe figures also had the "falling apart" problem with light play ~ LEGO and it's vast array of products have stood up to the test of vigorous play and chewing from countless children in the past and continue with a high standard to this day. If we think logically they must make Millions of any said brick in a production run and there will be an unlucky few who get that weak brick but LEGO are willing to replace this as long as you provide evidence and go through their system. As LEGO has grown in popularity I imagine their production runs have grown significantly and the amount of bricks being produced has in turn gone up, ABS is not the cheapest plastic so they have sourced as well as they can a supply which is economic for themselves and turns a profit. But the larger the amount of bricks the larger the error margin will be, Overall I think TLG does a rather good job with brilliant customer service and outstanding brand control with all shops being friendly and inviting and more than willing to help with broken items and the best online customer service I have ever had , Having had conversations over email with LEGO customer support with quick friendly replies and the eventual sorting of all my troubles. LEGO is by nature a friction connected brick also so bricks are under stress at all times alot of moc'ing does put bricks under extra strain too this may be a factor in the bricks breaking rather than quality of said product for intended use. (I realise I have gotten quite carried away here but thank you for your time and this interesting conversation )
  15. Great news! Will have too look at them in person, Like the old style light covers on the feet of the "space crawler" http://www.brickset.com/news/article/?ID=6891
  16. Thank you so much Kristel for your quick and informative reply! You have no doubt saved me many hours
  17. Love too see shiny bricks! Chrome star ships are very reminiscent of old school sci-fi and the naboo royal starship is really beautiful in chrome! It would be interesting to see in pearl silver also as that is what LEGO go for in the more modern times! Keep Bricking!
  18. Maybe not using words like "trash boy" In medieval/fantasy settings ;-)! Good animation I love the over the shoulder almost shot of the boys face a priceless expression that says it all! Keep up the good work
  19. Welcome to Eurobricks arqalex! I love the striped field and the Curved roof on your moc! Brilliant touches aswell as the curved hallways on the left stand! I hope you enjoy the site and will post more of your moc's in the future!
  20. Hello all, A new user of brick link here Are there any techniques for filling a cart with pieces you need from a specific list of parts such as a set inventory on peeron or similar? Something that could be used as a means to build a set from bought parts? Thanks in advance Liam~
  21. I think the rooms are wonderful Any information on the gifts in premium rooms? The rooms have a great vibe to them and I would love to stay in them as a Kid! I feel sorry for the parent who has to take their child home to a normal room after staying in one of these! I love the pillow covers
  22. Wonderful! Shows off the artistic side of the fair ground and truly exquisite colour scheme! beautiful model with great functions!
  23. I heard its WHsmiths exclusive is this correct?
  24. Thank you for the info! Will be getting a few of these
  25. I have never in my 16 years of LEGO had an actual brick crack that was being used correctly, Droid arms in the first days of episode one sets and the Mars Mission alien arms where my only concern. I am yet too see a cracked cheese slope and I also fail too see where they could crack? they seem rather sound to me. I have also noticed the majority of posters are from the U.S.A could this be a regional problem? Is U.S LEGO produced in a different area to European LEGO? And finally are there any photos of these cracked cheese slopes?
