WOW! That's a pretty sweet Ewok Village. Impressive! Do you have the area where they gathered to eat Han/Chewie/Luke and the fire pit?
-
Agreed. The most likely answer to the question is that the folks at ILM who did the CGI of the RGS didn't look at the script close enough. Or those rockets are air-to-ground. ;)

I with you guys on the look of the new Sail Barge, I just don't dig it. The old one is a much better design. The only reason I'd like the new barge is for the new minifigures, but I might try to nab those loose. I already have the old barge and it was one of the best purchases I made last year; a truly awesome set.

Hi Yatkuu. My wife is from Spain and we recently had all over her belongings shipped from Sevilla to Chicago, and while there weren't any LEGOs in with her stuff there was a lot of glass, porcelin, and breakable stuff. She packed it herself and wrapped everything in bubble wrap, then cardboard over the wrap, then packing tape holding everything together. Of the 9.96 cubic meters of stuff only one glass item broke. My advice to you with your plactic bins is to wrap them in bubble wrap and then put cardboard outside of that. She had numerous plactic bins and many of them ended up being slightly damaged in one form or another, usually just the corners got cracks. For us that isn't a big deal since we use them for storage in the basement, but since you have such a nice LEGO set up I would recomment the bubble wrap/cardboard setup. If you aren't able to wrap all of your bins I suggest at least protecting the corners as they seemed to get the brunt of the impacts while moving. Welcome to the US. Where about this fine land are you moving? Good luck!

I think this is the set I'm most excited about. Can't wait to have a non-CW Yoda and Dooku.

My B-Wing wasn't supposed to ship until the 16th, but it arrived on Saturday. Included was the Chima speederz starter pack, a perfect gift for my nephew. Tip-o-the-hat to LEGO for getting the set to me so quickly and including a fun freebie.

Why the Rainbow MOCs and did you do it?
Chills replied to Hrw-Amen's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Most all of my MOCs as a kid were rainbow; though I had a decent number pieces I didn't have enough to build color-coordinated sets, at least not on the scale which I enjoyed building. I also didn't have my pieces stored according to color, they were kept in the big denim bag with the red rope around the edge. (BTW, I still have that!) Now that I'm just out of my dark ages I'm starting to MOC again, and this time I'm in a position where I can afford to do color-coordinated creations. It is interesting to read many of the responses. -
WOW those are expensive!! Buying 3 of those that you'd need for the ISD is about the retail cost of the entire set.
-
Very cool looking set, and the minifigures looks great, too. This summer is going to be expensive with all of the great sets coming out!

My wife bought the SSD for me and that brought me out of my Dark Ages. Not long after that I bought the Death Star. While the SSD is my absolute favorite ship from the SW universe, the Death Star was more fun to build and is cooler to display. There are so many minifigures, so many details, and it takes a long time to build. The set is definitely worth the money and probably the single best set in my collection.

+1 to the updated TIE Interceptor and TIE Bomber. We need new ones along the same lines as the new TIE Fighter (sturdy and better colors). I would also love to see an Ewok village, and a new Dagobah scene. What would really be cool is a UCS Nebulon B frigate or Mon Cal cruiser. Both are cool ships that have a lot of potential as LEGO sets.
-
Like many others I got the UCS B-Wing on 5/4 along with Han in his brown coat (which really was brown in the movies, just hard to tell with the lighting in Norway). As a kid I thought the B-Wing was awesome and when the UCS one came out I was pretty excited, but didn't want to pay $199 for it. LEGO read my mind and put that bad boy on sale; it's backordered so I won't get it until the middle of the month, but I have house projects to keep me busy until then.
-
The UCS B-Wing wasn't on my wanted list, either, but at 50% off I had to pick it up. I love B-Wings, but didn't want to plunk down $200 for a set...$100 is much more attractive. As with many things in the retail world, if you want to have something right when it comes out then you'll be paying full price (electronics are at the top of this list) but if you wait and are patient you can get a good deal. I do feel back for my fellow LEGO fans outside of the US, though. Seems like they are getting short-changed on the deals.
-
50% off the B-wing?? I may have to open up the wallet for that set.
-
That's what I was thinking. The new UCS X-Wing is kind of growing on me... hmmm....
-
Does anyone know if Lego will release some of the new SW sets for May 4th besides the new X-Wing? There aren't $75 worth of SW sets out that I want but don't have. :(

Following Roger_Smith's advice I found a bricks.argz. It had a very easy-to-use interface and most of the instructions for which I was looking. I think there is a limiter on that site similar to Peeron's, because after downloading a number of PDFs I got time-out errors and had to wait about 30 minutes to look again. BTW, just finished rebuilding the first set: 6955 Space Lock-Up Isolation Base. Good times. :)

I thought I was going to save a lot of money this year with the lack of SW sets coming out, but NOPE! I have most of them on my wanted list. I missed the AT-TE and Republic Gunship the first time they came out (dark ages!) so I'm happy they are coming out this year. Duel on Geonosis looks great, and I lack a Yoda minifigure so that's definitely on my list. I can't wait to see what the Defender-class ship looks like.
-
Also good advice, thanks. PDF files are preferable, just because I like keeping them in my iPad book library; but I'll take any instructions so I can re-assemble my sets. Using the sites posted I was able to find instructions for all of the sets. Thanks!

Excellent! Thanks guys! Two more sites to add to my LEGO bookmarks folder.

Hello everyone! I was wondering if you all could help me out. Last week, while back in my hometown, I went to my parents' house on a mission: to recover my old LEGO sets. My mother swore she never threw anything out, and after an hour of hunting through my old closet we opened the last plastic bin and "AHHHHHH" there they were. ALL of the LEGOs I had as a child, before my dark ages. Score! So now I have all of my old sets, but they were all in that denim bag with the red-rope drawstring... disassembled.... and mixed together. I know I saved all of the instruction books, but they weren't in the bin, and we didn't have time to search the closet. Is there any kind of site where people share PDFs of their instruction books? I know I could buy them on Bricklink, but I am hesitant to spend the money where I could probably find the actual books when I go back to my folks' house. I am just a bit impatient and would like to start rebuilding the sets sooner rather than later. I also checked on LEGO's site and they don't have anything this old. I'm talking from 1979 to 1989, castle, town, and space sets. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

As a non-army builder I rather like the new battle packs; being able to get unique figures from each side in one set is a nice draw. However, for the army builders I see how this could be a frustrating move. But Bobsy has the best point thus far, kids like the leaders and the unique heroes. And kids are where TLG makes its money. I hope Hawkman is right and Disney is able to renegotiate some of the license agreements.

So is the Planet line going to end after Series 4?
Chills replied to Muddy's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I guess I'm in the minority as I quite enjoy the Planet Sets. I do agree that full retail price is a bit steep, but I've been able to buy all 6 on sale so I can't complain. I like the mini-models, they are clever and fun little builds. I really dig the planets, themselves. I'm planning on using them in a MOC; but I can see how many people don't like them as there is no playability. I will agree with the majority here: I wish all the planet sets had unique minifigures. TLG could definitely sell more if they didn't include figures that one could get elsewhere with more desireable sets. I hope TLG continues the line and includes planets from the EU. There's a lot of potential out there. -
Sweet! Darwin, that is great work. I had been envisioning how I would MOC these two sets so they would work better together and yours is fantastic. I was thinking, with mine, of also having the dungeon and EVE-9D9's chambers attached to the pit.

My Father-in-Law gave me the Sith Interceptor for Christmas, but I already had it. Thankfully the folks at the LEGO store took it back, sans receipt, and I was able to pick up the Rancor Pit. I wanted Palpatine's Arrest, but they were out. I'll order that when Lego has free shipping again.
