  1. The way I look at it, Lego minifigures are still Lego, and considering TLG's moving to make their minifigures more attracting for sets I don't really see how that doesn't make you an AFOL. Tl;dr the person who said that is wrong.

  4. Option 3 is what I would go with; you get a bunch of minifigures along with what I think are pretty decent sets.
  5. So basically the second movie will likely be loaded with unnecessary plot tangents. Splendid. On another note I liked how Azog and his band of Moria orcs spoke in their own language for just about the entire movie; it sort of gives them their own culture and civilization, so to speak.
  6. January Jones was the only villain that really annoyed me; she's good eye candy but was just...gah.
  7. Well the ROTK orcs are Mordor Orcs so it's more likely they'll just reuse those with some minor differences; Gothmog is a good possibility though but only as an exclusive for a larger set..

  10. For starters you can build up a large quantity quickly using Pick-A-Brick, which should be a decent deal at first. After that, I'd start going for City sets since they're mostly cheap and keep building on from there. Once you start getting more people, and hopefully more donations you could maybe buy a few licensed sets with iconic minifigures or sets themselves. After that, maybe rinse and repeat? It's what came to the top of my head just now; I haven't ran a Lego Club before no firsthand experience here. Good luck!
  11. Yeah, I hear you on just about everything you said. First Class was the first X-Men movie I watched, so the original trilogy kind of seemed...meh compared to that. Origins wasn't too great either, especially with how they completely bombed Deadpool (the 2014 film better be good). I'm kind of looking forward to Days of Future Past, as long as they keep the same formula from First Class albeit now with a different set of villains.

    Canadian Eh?

Anyone seen the new Iron Man sets around? I've heard rumours of Brickset they've already been released (in the States, at least) but I haven't been to Walmart or the Toronto Lego Store recently.
  13. Love your collection, welcome to Eurobricks!
  14. Thanks for the review, I'm considering getting this set now even though the price might be a little high for my budget.
  15. Any thoughts of possible modular sets based on prominent structures (probably Minas Tirith and whatever towers there are)? It probably wouldn't be too detailed but they could get some features in (eg. the White Tower).

  18. Don't live anywhere near St. Louis but congrats on getting the job!
  19. You might have a little longer for the Dragon Battle since it's larger and is a rather prominent set in NInjago; a couple months for the other two sounds about right.
  20. RIP the great Dr. Jerry Buss.

  21. Not a fan of X-Men? :P
  22. Welcome to Eurobricks; as for buying bricks you could try Bricklink. Or if you have any official Lego stores in Ohio you could get them from Pick-a-Brick there. Good luck!
