  1. such a great progress :) can't wait to see it finished
  2. finished :P i hope you'll like it!
  3. Hello fellow builders :) In the meanwhile im working to get some money to get the nissan pickup finished, i needed something funny to play with in the spare time when the PC is rendering :P so I decided to build a quad with tubolar frame that i could make drift around my apartment it turned out to be pretty fast and with enough torque to face some dirt too! i still need to decide about how to make the body but id like to build something like this I hope you'll like it :)
  4. Looks great so far! I love that rear part of the chassis
  5. wow that's amazing man.... i expecially love the shape you gave it! great model!
  6. it looks great and those tires are just... wow...i want them :P
  7. more progress going on :) i started building the body...obviously those white panels will be red at the end, im waiting for them to be delivered the battery box will be placed below those black panels in the back just like it was the fuel tank... not really, you know there's that half stud offset with the old driving ring? if i use the new one everything will be more compact and tidy :) pushrods! :P
  8. here's some progress :) although i won't be able to finish it until i recive parts from bricklink as the new driving ring and red panels, i keep building what i can... so i made two pretty solid axles and lifted the chassis 5 studs from ground wich is gonna be useful for offroad driving :) plus: i noiced i can easily integrate 2 rc motors under seats so after i finish it i'll probably modify it to make it more performant and fun to drive here's the differential lock... there will be a pushrod to activate the selector hopefully i'll be able to use a single M motor to do the following operation: high ratio -> low ratio -> diff lock if you have in mind any mechanism like that, please let me know so i can integrate it here :)
  9. to me that's the perfection :) the perfect example on how a body sohuld be built.... and an applause goes for the color and the difficulty in getting hard geometries like that with the few blue pieces aviable!
  10. well guys as that car was just a test i won't spend time on it anymore so ill dismount it probably without shooting any video to it... for those who are gonna say "nooo why?" the answer is in the title of this thread :P that wasn't the car i wanted to make so i rushed it just to get it done to test axles and overall performances now i can finally proceed with the nissan d21 :) i won't be using RC motors because i'd like to make instructions for this car and id really like if everyone can build it without spending too much money on it :) i also have to say that probably this time instructions won't be for free just because i'll personally do them because i'm totally out of cash that can be destinated to legos...wich is a pity :P so for those who will like to support my projects there will be instructions for around 5 euros :) and a huge "thank you" for those who don't, there will be this WIP thread that they'll be able to use to reverse engineer this pickup ^^ so here's the actual state of the car and i must say im pretty happy with it because the real model seems to have perfect proportions for lego pieces hope you'll like it!!
  11. I must say that bodywork for this model was pretty rushed...the whole model is more like a test car than an actual well made moc ...it doesnt even have seats and steering wheel XD
  13. the steering works with a servo geared 1:2 and a panhard pushing on the steering link wich is inbetween the differential and the ball joint of the frame :) nothing fancy! but i'll take better pictures once i'll start the nissan check this thread out, more or less the steering system is the same http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=101005
  14. it means that what you see in that picture is some bad photoshop made in 2 minutes :P....just to get an idea about what's gonna look like :)
  15. well... model is pretty done this is basically how it will look like once i'll apply stickers... it performs really well, its weight is 900g with a 1:2 gear ratio
  16. this model and all the thinking that's behind it is totally pleasing :) really nice!
  17. oh well that's photoshop but on my blog, if you click on the ford fiesta post, you can find a sticker template i made when i made the fiesta :)i'll use that template for this car as well :)
