Only two sets? Either Lego is deliberately doing really expensive sets for Summer, or we are once again going to be short changed... It's two more sets though, so I don't mind.

Translations: 70141-Vardy Ice Vulture Legend Beast (Translator had problems trying to translate these. All Legend Beasts named are speculative) 70142- Fire Eagle Eris 70143-Sir Fangar Saber-toothed Legend Beast 70144-Fire Lion Laval 70145-Maula the Mammoth Legend Beast 70146-Fire Phoenix Temple 70149-Searing Blades 70150-Flaming Claws 70151-Frozen Spears 70152-Effusive(?) 70153-Fang Trap 70154-Frozen Fortress 70155-Infernal Pit 70156-Fire and Water 70206-CHI Laval 70207-CHI Cragger 70208-CHI Panthar 70209-CHI Mungus 70210-CHI Vardy 70211 -(site says "missing." Not sure if that is the actual name of the set or not) I'm surprised by the ice theme. Here we thought we were going to have Arachnids and bats, then this happened. I'm interested to see where this goes.

I have no doubt that Rebooted is selling well, but that isn't the reason why it is the only part of Winter 2014 that is currently available. If I recall correctly. The street date for 2014 is January 1st for most stores. Toys R Us and Lego Store (S@H as well) are always the first to get them out, of course. Other stores do break the street date though. The Epic Dragon Battle is phenomenal, by the way. I was more pointing out the severed leg in the initial art for the Wolf, and the fact that the box is positioned in a way that the floating leg isn't visible on the art. I will agree thought that the Legend Beasts aren't entirely impressive looking, but I'm getting them anyway.

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion

Following the trend, my first Lego Movie set is Cloud Cuckoo Palace (for the minifigs, of course, including Uni-kitty). I was stunned by the amount of vibrant parts. I'm loving the spearmint color on the castle wall components. The set is rather small, but makes up in minifigs and the overall look of it. Perfect choice for a first TLM set.- 2,626 replies

I meant that the actual body of it was skinny. The Wingspan is still quite impressive (I'd prefer flapping wings over saws any day!) making it seem large from that perspective. Lego has been really good at photographing their 2014 sets from their "good side" (sever Lego Movie sets and Wolf Legend Beast are offenders here).

I got a kick out of both of these as well! The Legend Beasts are considered deities, but that description is just ridiculous. The Worris thing is consistent throughout the description, which makes me laugh. Add that to the Wolf Legend Beast's...er... severed appendage... It's also interesting to see that the Scorpions and Spiders have rulers that actually have a given position (unlike the tribe leaders of 2013). Now if we only had US prices...

Well that's more or less the point. The focal point of nearly every set is primarily golden artifacts (including a couple of jewels and a gem of a princess ). Thus the "Golden Era" makes the most sense. Crown Knights, Crown Lions, and Dragon Knights all sound too similar to several 90's themes.

Built the MechDragon (finally!) . It is very scrawny for a dragon, but I love all of the room for more Nindroids in the back. The saw blade doesn't function as well as I'd hoped. Nya's Buggy surprised me as it turned out to be much, much larger than I expected! The Senseis look excellent! I hope to take some photos of the complete wave here in the coming weeks so stay tuned...

Here are the sets on Shop@Home UK. Set descriptions can be found within. Scorm's Scorpion Stinger can be found here. There is not a page for Web Dash currently.

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion

My life is meaningless until that space set is in my hands... ... I'm speechless... This may just be the best Summer I've had in years... My inner child is screaming and crying over the beauty that the past 4 pages have revealed... I may just explode if any changes are made to these sets... Toy Fairs... HURRY UP!!! Okay...okay... Ahem. Benny's ship is excellent and Astro-kitty is excellent. Metalbeard's Pirate ship looks massive, and will probably justify a crazy price which I have no problem in forking over. SWAT ship: Johnny Thunder is in that set. Anything about that set is meaningless and pales in comparison. Construction Mech: I'm going to severley disappointed if that set doesn't break down into smaller vehicles.- 2,626 replies

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
PenPlays replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Yeah... It's kinda hard to miss. We really need to start a MOC group to get some of the show's amazing designs in the brick. The animation for the series is excellent. I just don't like the fact that some of the amazing designs get pushed to the side due to them being unrelated or unfitting as a Ninjago set.- 4,591 replies

Destructoid is a fantastic command center/mech. The back of the box doesn't do justice for it's functions, as each of them adds onto the overall look of the set. It has a Garmatron vibe to it (small but does its job) and actually has plenty of room for a whole squad of Nindroids. The Min-droid is charming as well. Normal Zane isn't very interesting compared to battle damaged Zane, but it's nice to have a whole variation. I don't know if anyone has noticed, but since 2011 each faction has their own aesthetically equal vehicle/creature (i.e. Jay's Storm Fighter as an equivalent to the Rattlecopter, Kai's Blade Cycle as an equivalent to Lasha's Bite cycle, Lighting Dragon Battle speaks for itself, etc.) Normally, equivalent's aren't complete until the summer wave of sets, but for Rebooted, each set already has it's match. Mechdragon=Ninjacopter Nya's Buggy=Overborg Tank bike Ninjacopter's Nindroid Glider=Kai Fighter Kai Fighter's General Cryptor=Destructoid's Zane Destructoid=Thunder Raider/Earth Mech combo Thunder Raider's Nindroid Turret=Hover Hunter's Cole Hover Hunter=Lloyd's Bike I found this to be interesting, and I'm curious as to just what we'll have for the Summer Wave.

Golden Age is perfect, especially considering the focus of treasure and gold among the sets. Perhaps Golden Era would be better, to keep with the whole "era" thing. Fantasy Era 2 would be nice, but only the Dragon and the Evil Wizard imply 'fantasy'. Royal Lions would also fit, but it would be too confusing with the Royal Knights subtheme from 1995-96. I'd like to add that Tresure Era sounds nice as well, but I think the above idea is just2good to waste!

I love how all of this detail is compacted into such a small space! I really like the idea of an octagon base. The fact that it's fully furnished is also a plus. The snow effect is also very nice! Great job SK

...and the voice, and every other Darkley's student. The animators do not re-use character models of important/ clearly defined support characters. Hence the reason Mother Doomsday isn't just a random citizen, nor the Ninjaball run announcers. Believe what you may, just don't try to force it as concrete fact.- 4,591 replies

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
PenPlays replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Something interesting to point out about the amount of time between Episodes 26 and 27. Brad Tutebone, Lloyd's black-haired friend from Darkley's School for Bad Boys, is one of the students at Sensei's academy (which in case no one could tell is a refurbished Darkley's School). Nothing has changed about his size or appearance, and being that he's Lloyd's age, a seven year jump ahead in time would have at least made him a late teenager (he'd have to have grown-up minifig legs). You'd also think Dareth would have gotten some exercise .- 4,591 replies

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread

If I may rephrase what I was trying to say, saying you know someone doesn't justify fact. If "the person" had a name and possibly a position in Ninjago's production, then it would be fine in saying so. Even a screen-capture of said conversation would be a good enough source. Don't get me hyped up like that! Any thought of a legitimate Lego video game styled Ninjago game and its features make me go crazy!- 4,591 replies

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
PenPlays replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Judging by other posts he's made, that's as grammatically correct he's going to get... If I understand him correct, he says he knows someone on the inside who shared legitimate information with him (the amount of time between Episodes 26 and 27). This was after saying: In other words, he has given the canned answer every tween has when he has no legitimate source. Sorry, but I've seen it way too often... To change the subject: Something crossed my mind. In the case of the Lego Movie (and most licensed movie themes) there is an accompanying video game released. I'm curious if we'll get a video game for the Ninjago Movie, and if so, if it will also include playable levels from the TV show. If TT and WilFilm pool their resources together, we could have a video game masterpiece on the way!!- 4,591 replies

Sorry for the double post, but this deserves it's own post. Destructoid is $34.99 USD. Found it (and purchased it) at the local Lego Store. I also bought the MechDragon, meaning that I am now the proud owner of the complete winter 2014 wave of Ninjago!

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
PenPlays replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Several months is a long time! When something is said to be a long time, that doesn't exactly imply that years have passed. Due to Ninjago's advancements in technology during the first two (three) seasons, I'm not surprised that the futuristic look to the city was completed in very little time (on terms of a complete city's overhaul). EDIT: This is also just as likely. I have to say, though, it would be nice to be givem a definitive amount of time since the attack of Garmatron.- 4,591 replies

The show picks up just a bit. Not to the scale of Ninjago, but there were a few moments where I personally felt a little excitement. I'd also like to personally say that I'm irritated by Laval's voice mostly because he sounds and acts like a child (most of the time) even though he's very clearly a young-adult. By the looks of the sets, I'm hoping that Laval would "grow a pair of bricks" while braving the outlands. Especially by the looks of Lavertus after his (apparent) many years in the outlands.
