ANNOUNCING: Guilds of Historica Book II: The Civil War
PenPlays replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
You'll find more info in the Doctorate of Historica thread, Niku! That second question is something I've wondered as well. Finally started on my Category B entry. I have some ideas for Categories A and C, but time will tell. -
I agree. More Nomad sets would have been awesome. There's a good chance we won't see them again though, as more focus will be be put into other new characters.
-
The head would also be wonderful for Misako.

Are you psychic? (Good job!) Really liking these polybags. The Super Secret Police one is an excellent army builder.- 2,626 replies

I believe BrickBuilder meant the likes of, say Captain Redbeard or Gypsy Moth. Possibly even Rocket Racer as well. But what about obscure characters from Racers 2 such as Frankie Solido or Baron Rosso? I hate to be a bit of a downer, though, but some of the part connections for some of the Racers (1) vehicles are illegal, or impossible. King Kahuka's racer comes to mind, as well as practically all of the secondary racers for each circuit. Of course if Lego were to make such a "Legacy Theme" in the future, I'm sure some new molds would be made to accommodate.

That layout has been there for nearly 2 months! All they did was make the site green.

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
PenPlays replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I just bought the Ice Cream Machine and Bad Cop's Pursuit. I've only built the Truck form of the Ice Cream Machine, and I have to say that it looks charming even in mid-build. The finished vehicle is absolutely adorable! The truck may very well be the best set of the wave (I'll make that decision when I have them all). The Micro Managers are also cool, an I'm interested in getting them all, considering it looks like they combine in some shape or form.- 2,626 replies

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
PenPlays replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Like we've already discussed (and debated with others who have no concept of time) that no more than a year has passed. The Golden Dragon is alive (considering it's one with Lloyd). Also Dragons are considered deities, therefore they are eternal (not invincible, of course, hence the dragons' illness when they begin their Epic transformation). What other threat could have befallen the Epic Dragon? Disease seems too hard to believe, considering it most likely has a quadruple immune system.- 4,591 replies

From what I heard, there's been some resolve, and that Countdown to Chaos (and probably several issues after) were written and desgined during the "unknown" period. Now if Ian Flynn were to write the new StH show, then something amazing would be on the way! -
If I may, Ogel never died. Accoding to the comic in Ogel's Mountain Fortress, he manages to escape into the snow- capped mountains (in a frosted over desert?). It's because of this cliffhanger, that many fans have wanted another wave for closure.

And that's why we should have had a pure-blood Hungarian translate them (instead of the horrid Google Translator). Thanks for the help Yooha!

I just made it to the Endless 8 last night. I'm only watching the first, fifth, and eighth, being that it gives you all three "complete" variations of the eight episodes. I also notice a bunch of "Endless" and "8" numbers scattered throughout the episodes. The series is actually incomplete without watching The Disappearance, a 3-hour-long season 3 that's worth every second. Speaking of more seasons of Anime, Sword Art Online 2 is being created... Please tell me you read the StH comics! I swear I can't find anyone who's read them! The writers of the new Sonic show seems nice, but the design is more or less the problem... "Here I come, Rougher than the rest of them, The best of them, Tougher than leather, You can call me Knuckles, Unlike Sonic I don't chuckle, I'd rather flex my muscles." -Unknown from M.E. (Sonic Adventure) ... Yeah. If designs stay this way, it's gonna take some getting used to. -
Oh joy. Another brown poly set, and yet another Sparratus. Gotta get it anyway

Absolutely love that movie. And a note: Descole is filthy rich. Most of Layton's villains are filthy rich and/or liars, so this isn't anything new. Speaking of Descole, Azran Legacies looks absolutely fantastic, but will it be the next Unwound Future? Speaking of anime. I just finished the anime Steins;Gate. It's about a self proclaimed mad scientist that discovers his microwave oven is a time-travel device. He succeeds in sending a text into the past, but through these texts he fundamentally alters the world in such a way that all of his "assistants" are in danger. It's a very vague description, yes, but I'd feel horrible if I spoiled anything more. I absolutely loved it. It was suspenseful, but hilarious. Touching, yet intense. I just started my second watch-through of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. It's a Sci-fi meets slice-of-life about a girl that has the ability to alter the world to her liking. She, however, has no idea she has these powers, and it begins to affect the lives of her fellow students. Watch the movie The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya as well, as it is icing on the cake! Other Anime that I suggest: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann Angel Beats! Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion and it's sequel Sword Art Online K-On! and its movie Lucky*Star and Fairy Tail Being that it's anime inspired (meaning that if you don't like Anime, this is tolerable) I also highly suggest . -
Apparently my loud fanboy agreement sounds like crickets. My apologies. On the other side of the coin... I'm hoping the villain is just as good as Dr. Inferno was. May his flaming locks rest in peace...

Is there any more retail catalog pics you can share for any other themes, Sci? I think it would be smart to say that I'm putting 2014 HF on the back-burner when it comes to purchases (Metalbeard's Sea Cow is $249 USD...Agents... blah,blah,blah...).

Awww! Wizard Mixels! But where's series 2?
-
This degrade in quality concerns me greatly. I'm also not digging the new layout for the sets. Too organized for my tastes. Happy New Year!!

It appears that Destructoid will be available everywhere. The Jan. 2014 Product Catalog features the Destructoid without a Hard-to-find tag.

We have Vultures, Mammoths and Saber-toothed Tigers. The "Phoenix" appears to have to do with Eris, considering the fire theme for both her and Laval, but that is to be determined... Comprehensive tribe list: Lions Eagles Gorillas Crocodiles Wolves Ravens Bears Rhinos Beavers Scorpions Spiders Bats Vultures Mammoths Saber-toothed Tigers Nomad species: Peacock Skunk Fox Plovar Unknown: Phoenixes I hate to be a downer, but about the Jan. 2014 product catalog (US). Legends of Chima has 2013 sets on its pages only. This means that, along with Star Wars for that matter, Chima will join HERO Factory as a Spring release.

If I may, the Summer wave sounds a little lackluster. Maybe I need pictures. That'll probably help. Bulk is gonna pierce the heavens with his drill...
-
It felt too good to be true when all of the awesome Summer sets for The Lego Movie were revealed, but with that thread title... I'm beyond words with how overjoyed I am, and how broke I foresee myself.

Sir Fangar is a Sabre-toothed Tiger. Loving how this Summer's sets sound. Hoping to get see some good images at the Toy Fairs.
