  1. I usually ship it without it on, but felt for this figure I would have it on him. If you'd prefer I don't have the cape on for your order, I can do that. Email me at phoenixcustomsllc@gmail.com to let me know.
  2. I agree that it's possible for them to do a more accurate face, and that would make it different, for sure - and better, IMHO. But, I'm not sure doing a more accurate cape piece is really possible. I mean, that detail and the black and white areas on the top (see HERE) aren't possible on Lego capes. Custom ones - yes, but not official LEGO. I mean, yes, the "Burger King" fig from the last CMF line had a bit of detail with the two capes, but they can't make it as close for Collector as I'm sure we'd all like it to be. Just my 2 cents on that.
  3. Just an FYI, this guy is officially on my website now (link is in the signature below). Limited quantities.
  4. Thanks for the support, guys, I appreciate it! Got a pic of the figure finally for you guys, as he just arrived from the printer yesterday. How do you guys think he turned out? Haha, yeah, I can kind of see that now. I guess he could be a good swap out for Palpatine, good call. Hopefully people see Benicio in there too. Thanks, and yes, he's being released next weekend along with Kinetic Man being back in stock. Thanks, man, I appreciate it. Just an FYI, there are some that are on discount (due to minor piece defects, or minor misprints or knicks), so you might be interested in checking that out next weekend.
  5. Yeah, I think it looks great! Can't wait to see more pics of the other sets/minifigure close ups!
  6. Great job here! Nice work adding them to these bigfigs, I'm sure that was not easy!
  7. Thanks, I'm glad you think so...now we just have to see how the print comes out. Thank you for the nice comments and also the constructive criticism, I appreciate it (I actually really do). I wondered about that myself, but given the amount of times in the movies that he has these shaded eyes like HERE, I figured it was needed. But, I wondered if some people would be turned off by that aspect.
  8. Here's a render by HJ Media Studios of our newest and upcoming figure, The Curator, coming soon in January 2015. He's going to be pad printed, feature a double sided face, and leg printing. Pictures of the fig will be coming soon... What do you guys think? 9. Pictures have been added above, as the figure is now available in limited quantities. What do you guys think of the actual printed figure?
  10. Nice, Ryan! Great designs and seeing it black...I might have to design an assassin with that color hood in mind!
  11. Thanks, Legonator! I liked the idea of mesh used by LEGO for the SDCC version, but wanted to step it up a notch further with the silver and make it wrap all over the body as much as possible.
  12. Thanks, glad you like him and appreciate your feedback. Wish I could've made him cheaper, but the custom pieces and price to make those jumped his price up quite a bit. But, worth it in my mind, as those are the only AC-based accessories available for minifigures...something I really wanted to see come to life.
  13. Hi everyone! Following the success of our last two figs, American Super Soldier and Pirate Assassin, we are proud to bring you our next custom designed minifigure for 2014 - Arachnid Hero. Read through the description below. Here's the pictures of the figure along with the render of the figure created by HJ Media Studios - sorry about the watermarks - but they are necessary given the issues with some Chinese companies. What do you guys think? Arachnid Hero Arachnid Hero - Available NOW! by Phoenix Custom Bricks, on Flickr Arachnid Hero - Coming Soon! by Phoenix Custom Bricks, on Flickr Description Based on the famous superhero from this summer's film, Arachnid Superhero features professional pad printing on the front head, torso and legs; back head and torso; both arms; and most importantly the side legs, providing a wrap around print design on the legs - something unique to other "arachnid" type hero pad printed figs. Along with that, the figure will sport silver mesh printing on the torso, arms, and around the legs, to give it a sleek look. Along with the silver chest spider logo and silver mesh pattern over the eyes, we've packed as much details as possible while still retaining that "LEGO"-like feel and look. Arriving to our website in about two weeks. See our website (Link in signature below) for purchasing info and for more information on other figs and accessories that we offer.
  14. MicroMark is my favorite and has worked well for me in the past. http://www.micromark.com/SearchResult.aspx?deptIdFilter=0&searchPhrase=clear+decal+paper
  15. I really like the new Darth Vader design too, though I'm still debating if I like his new head. I would even add that I like the new and improved Snow Troopers this year.
  16. Sorry for the late reply, but you can check on my website now to get the next print of Kinetic Man reserved, if you were still interested. Just FYI. Thanks
  17. Great design here! Easily recognizable as the character from Ghostbusters, and it matches the LEGO "look" perfectly. Apart from some minor issues, it looks from a design standpoint straight from LEGO. And I love seeing another pad printer out there in the custom world! Great first effort here! And the price point is very nice for pad printing, but that is true as this fig only has 3 total colors on the entire minifig (unless there is another print on the back, not sure from these pics). That isn't a bad thing, as that is all this figure needs to be a great figure! That makes it much more affordable to do, too. I average about 10-15 colors per fig, so you can see where the jump in price happens. I need to real myself in a bit...
  18. Bout time they released these instead of the regular Batman's over and over again! Love these expressions from the movie, spot on! And I really don't get all these complaints about the eyes...do you guys not get that this is intended only for the LEGO Movie Batman version...which relies on him constantly having his helmet on. And to be completely honest, even the "white headband" version looked strange. Nobody really could use those eyes and face for anything other than with the cowl, I mean unless you like having your "workout" Bruce Wayne with headband all the time. ;)
  19. Thanks for sharing this, I can't wait to build this! Now just have to find a way to get that TRU exclusive Rocket... One question, as I'm new to LDD, how do you open this .lxf file to get instructions? How does that work? Thanks again!
  20. What's the info on this TRU Rocket polybag? When is it available? Etc
  21. No problem, I actually was thinking of starting two different threads, one for LEGO and one for customs, but I'm too lazy to follow two different ones :P I forgot about Rocket Raccoon, I'll have to add that one!
  22. As they are sold now, they are plain. I have been asked by some to print on the legs, so that may be something I create down the line, but I'm not sure when or if I will. I appreciate the idea, though.
  23. Hey guys, I'm not sure this is the right thread for this topic, but I figured it would be since it includes "custom figures" I'm starting to make my list already for my favorite designed minifigures from this year (as I'm a huge fan of lists and minifigures, so it's the perfect marriage for me ). SInce I collect both TLG and Custom figs, like many people, I thought I'd get a topic going where we could all share our ideas for what we think our favorite figures are from the year 2014. I also figured by including both TLG AND custom figs, we'd have a wider range of thoughts. And maybe, I can take a bit of collection of the answers and make a poll of the top 20 or so to add to this post later on in the year, when we've got all the figs from this year. They can be from any theme or set, the only catch is that they have to have been released after Jan. 1, 2014. So without further ado, here's my list (in no particular order)...which will be edited and added to as the year progresses: FAVORITE MINIFIGURES OF 2014 LEGO: Star Lord Gamora Rocket Raccoon Ghostbusters Figs (Venkman & Ray are my favorites) Obi Won Kenobi (Cantina) General Veers - Star Wars AT-AT Walker set Han Solo (Cantina set and Microfighters set) Storm Flash Martian Manhunter Galadriel?? - only seen from the blurry pics so far Batman - Batman Begins version (Tumbler UCS) Terabyte - Ultra Agents Mission HQ set Custom: Ghost Rider - Muddy River Figs Little Arrow - Christo Dark Phoenix - Muddy River Figs Superior Spiderman - Muddy River Figs Black Panther - NACM Robocop - Brickmoc So, what's your favorite? Would love to hear everyone's thoughts.
  24. I'm really starting to like the Steampunk items I'm seeing in LEGO, it's so creative! And your new figs are just perfect! Love the alternate storyline for these two historical figs, too! Glad I could pitch in even in the smallest way to be part of this cool project!
  25. Sorry it took so long to reply, it's been a busy summer Thanks, LOTRfan, appreciate it! The custom hood and knives were really fun to design with BrickWarriors! Thanks, Behemoth! Appreciate it, and glad you like! Thanks, Ryan! That seam was the last addition I added before it went off to print, funny enough. Did I ever send you one of these guys? I can't remember. Let me know if I didn't and I'll get one in the mail. Thanks, and yes, it is a fun new weapon, that is for sure. I even caught myself doing a little AC playacting with that thing, stealthily killing a LEGO British soldier Thanks, Colossus! Funny enough, I've only played the AC3 game just a bit, but I'm in the dark ages and still play only on my PC - plus I don't have the time like I used to play these games like I'd want. I never really got into the games even until someone asked for a decal of one of the figs from the first 2 games. I saw some images of them from the game and just thought they looked too cool to pass up. Next thing I know, I have almost the whole series designed..even some of my own British troops and officers. Just need to get some designs from the newest one, AC Unity - which I'd love to play!
