  1. Thanks! How I do it? Well, the order in which my MOCs appear is not exactly the sequence in which I have built them. So, some of the things I am presenting now have already been created in 2015. (That actually applies for this beast too)
  2. Sorry to say, but I doubt that they will ever do it. But with the new line of ninjago set they at least come close.
  3. Cool! I'll count this as steampunk Great scene, I like all the many details!
  4. A wonderful dirigible balloon! Fine landscape - and your characters look good too!
  5. Just great. Fantastic use of those strange minifigs!
  6. Mountain too high? Could be, but too late! Thank you! Ok, that is a good suggestion - for next time! Thank you, mijnheer! Thanks for the praise. I'll add some storyline to the build, but as my MOCs are not of the challenge-winning-type it might not make so much of a difference
  7. Looks fine - good approach to water too!
  8. Island can only be shown this way. But take your pick. There are three pics on flickr in the Eslandola album. Ok, so much pressure.... I still have some time to improve or make up the story. Something like: Once upon a while in the east, there was a captain by the name of Enrico Sombrero Verde. He had a not-so-beautiful-but-decently-armed ship called the "stubborn stern" on which he sailed along the shores of Nelissa. Then one day, out of the foggy mists of morning a ship approached and threatened to open fire... (like this?)
  9. ... but they sank so quickly. They didn't have time to fly their flag (and maybe it should be a mystery, because this battle would have geo-political implications, wouldn't it, Your Majesty?) Thanks. Every time I peek at the peak I think it rocks it is rocky.
  10. Too much blue. How can our islands be "azur", "azul", "azule" or combinations of it? Vert - verde - green - grün!
  11. The "Stubborn Stern" defended herself against an unknown attacker...
  12. [ESL-CH2B] Battle of Nelissa | Captain Braunsfeld | Eslandola
  13. Category B: Strike your Colors Short version: Furious sea battle south of Nelissa.. ... victory for Eslandola! Long version: Captain Enrico Sombrero Verde gazed through his spyglass trying to penetrate the combination of morning mist and cannon smoke that lay between the battling two ships. They had been surprised by the attacker initially, but the long and hard training of the crew had paid off and they had quickly been able to fire back. The "Stubborn Stern" had sent several broadsides into the hull of the attacking ship and Enrico could tell that the enemy was not doing well anymore. "Under which flag are they sailing", the first officer yelled. "I think it is black", Enrico shouted back just before another broadside was fired. "Then they must be pirates", the first officer mumbled to himself. Captain Verde looked again. It was difficult to identify the enemy's flag as the sun had got up behind the other ship. "It could be blue", he pondered, which would mean Oleon. "It's a red flag", the first mate cried. "They are fighting for Corrington!" Astonished, the captain raised the telescope once more, when suddenly a giant explosion tore the enemy ship apart - and the shock wave blew Enrico from his feet. "We must have hit the powder magazine...", Enrico mused. When he got up to his feet the remains of the other ship were already sinking fast. So it was a victory - a clear victory for Eslandola. But against whom? Ahoy!
  14. Here comes a dirigible that is slightly larger than the previous MOCs: Lady Lacelove's Armored Airship I took some basic inspiration from the "sea cow", which you can see in some parts. Here's the proud owner of this mighty airship: The ship is modular: The interior is as modern as it can be: .. and you can see parts of the overall machinery: I hope you like this MOC. More and larger pics can be found on flickr. C&C welcome! Captain Braunsfeld goes Steampunk: 1. New try at Steampunk Figbarf 2. [MOC] [steampunk] Sir Archibald's Mechanical Elephant 3. [MOC] [steampunk] Dr. Teslisons Airship 4. [MOC] [steampunk] Sir Archibald's Flying Lucilla 5. [MOC] [steampunk] Lady Lacelove's Armored Airship
  15. That is a cool little ship - well done!
  16. I am flabbergasted and I approve. But I did not get your pun... Anyway, the ship is really beautiful.
  17. More Steampunk is coming up soon! Congratulations to 1701 posts!
  18. Yes, cape gets in the way all the time. And the monkey is constantly demanding bananas. Thanks! I will - as soon as I get a new idea. Yes, that is the camera I am fighting with and I also chose a bad background because that is also one of my constant worries and sources of trouble.... But actually for these pictures I have found a new background which I find ok.
  19. This one fits together very nicely with your previous build. I also like your approach to water. I approve
  20. That is a good one - and something different from our usual builds. I see that you make efficient use of the latest bricks! I approve
  21. Row, row, row your boat gently through the dangerous high sea waters .... Custom boat = fine = gets my approval
  22. Of course I have a monkey in the room. He makes me build all these monkey-MOCs! (The rack and the curtains actually white in reality but the picture wouldn't have been good with everything being white) Right. This is a "meta MOC".
