You know, really it is just the legs and the addition of the snare piece. Everything else is pretty much the same. I am very selective with which bugs I like... wasps, dragonflies and beetles are cool with me though.

Thank you very much, I appreciate the kind words. I'm glad that you like the inclusion of the jet engine, it was probably the main element that I wanted in the build. It was also a little time consuming to work it in as well...

A couple months back I uploaded the WIP of this guy and I have finally gotten around to completing him. So here it is buzzBEAST in it's final incarnation. The biggest changes were the addition of the 'snare' to help round up any Galaxy Squad members unlucky enough to cross the buzzBEAST's path. The legs were also redesigned to better resemble the legs found on a wasp. And yes, the legs to fold out when it lands. Thanks! rongYIREN

Thanks guys! This was a fun build although it gave me some trouble while designing a few spots. I'm glad that you guys like it!

An interesting design - I quite like it. The only part that I would question would be that the Ninjago blades extend past the rotor guard.

I hope someday you'll find the funds to make this a brick-built model, it's one nice piece of work!

Hey, as for the area where you are having trouble... you are using the 4x4 round bricks... you have three partial cylinders built with those bricks... what if you had two complete cylinders? how would that look?

Ha, indeed! Thanks, man. you know, I do have some dark red parts coming so I will see how it looks, so there indeed might be a color change for this guy in the future I'm glad you like the separation feature... it was really important for me to have that as part of the MOC Thanks a lot, there might be a color scheme change coming up! Thanks!

Hello, Here is my latest mecha, a Battle Beetle à la Galaxy Squad. Below is a LEGO "sketch" for a diorama that I'd like to put together using more SNOT... just waiting on the bricks to get started. (with the Beetle Mech damaged the only option left for our Buggoids is escape!) Top ( flight mode) Bottom As usual, feedback is welcome. I still consider this to be somewhat of a WIP. Thanks, rongYIREN

I have gone ahead and removed the trans blue wings and replaced them with yellow and grey Actually the area behind the cockpit is empty so that the head can move up and down. So I can't really fill in that area unless I decided to do away with that articulation, which I might do.

Maybe you could try working in one of these for a tail rotor

New WIP - Battle Beetle I like the direction that it's going in but it doesn't quite feel complete yet. Any feedback? The rest of the WIP set can be found here. Thanks!

Well, only some of them would have the wings anyway... as for a diorama, I'd like to make more of these guys so eventually they could get worked into some kind of diorama. Thanks! I'm thinking about using these droids as an update to my old primalBOTS theme, not sure yet. Well, some of the pieces, like the wings come from the set 70003, other parts come from set 70700 with everything else coming from Bricklink

I really enjoy the fact that it looks like a stingray. Nice job.

Sorry, just bumping this for the new pic up top.

Absolutely! The inspiration for the Mecha-Rex's jaw came from the Animated Grimlock. He's one of my favorite characters from that toy line.
