Great looking Viper, I'm glad you also built in bricks -

This is quite a slick looking build. I really like how the front prongs are separated from the engine area.

Actually, they do not connect...

Hello All, Decided to take a previous build, the Cloud Hopper and expand it into a set and seeing how cool the new Galaxy Squad sets looked I built my set along the same vein. The Cloud Hopper is now a ‘Star Striker’ and his little four-legged friend is derived from a previous build ‘ROV-r’ – this one is called a ‘SCUTL-r’ The Not-Exactly-Evil-Just-Misunderstood Alien is a ‘HEX Beast’ or… maybe I'll change that name later. While I am fairly happy with our ”Good Guys” the Alien is still a WIP. And yes, I did add some flick-fire missiles... Any critiques are welcome and encouraged! rongYIREN

This guy is great, he's got lots of character!

Love the Lumix model, it's beautiful!

Great looking explosions, love how the wheels are flying off the humvee...

Hey, thanks man! you know, I think one of the biggest things that give them such a unifying feel is that cockpit canopy, it's the same in everyone. Thanks for the support! Thanks, I almost didn't add the wings but changed my mind at the last moment.

Thanks a lot. Yeah, the whole purpose of the redesign was to fit a minifig. It bothered me that the previous versions just had what amounted to half a fig. Thanks! Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it. And I totally agree with you. I wasn't really sure of its actual role because it's just too small to really carry any rescued minifigs. Perhaps the role I can give it is more of a 'spotter' and as you suggest, a larger vessel can move in to do the rescuing. I'll rework the photoshop file tonight to reflect the role change.

Hey, thanks a lot guys!

Hey Everyone! **edit** Reworked the chopper a bit and gave it a slightly new role as well as name. Being that the aircraft was really too small to take on any "rescued minifigs" it has now been designated as a spotter. So 'Rescue One' now becomes the 'Sentinel' I may in the near future redesign it a bit to accommodate a winch and to hold rescued figs. Oh, and the cockpit has now been redesigned to fit a minifig. Hope you enjoy - any feedback is welcome! Here are also the two previous incarnations First Prototype Thanks, rongYIREN

MoC: Container Freighter with a Splash of Art Deco
rongYIREN replied to Commander Wolf's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I'm really digging the freighter, love the open frame. -
Thanks a lot! And the landing gear are indeed retractable. Thank you, I appreciate the positive feedback! I should be redesigning the Rescue One soon so that it fits a full minifig and is a bit sturdier, thanks for the kind words! Ha, let's keep our fingers crossed hoping that it'll reach 10k. Thank you very much for your support! You know, the clouds were probably the most fun of all to make. Thanks Ralph, I intend to keep most of the yellow color scheme but I still think it needs a bit of a redesign. Thanks man, I have actually designed a smaller cloud base for another project that I should be uploading here some day soon.

No, they are 4L bars, however they have been tweaked since this pic and are now flick-fire missle bars Hey, thanks a lot!

Great composition on the top pic. The greebliness of hands really adds to mechanical look of the hands. Did you try adding any color to the MOC before settling on an all gray composition? Color might give it even more depth. Anyway, great job as usual and good luck on the Iron Builder Contest!

This is one massively beautiful beast! Love all the shapes and curves

Hey Again, I've been working on this new MOC lately - The color scheme is not final and the design itself needs a few more tweaks. Hopefully I'll be able to find some time this weekend to work more on it. As you can see it does fit a minifig and also comes with retractable landing gear. If you have any critiques I'd be welcome in hearing them! Thanks!

I am updating with a new variant to the Desktop Series project that I have going on. This is the 'Agile Hawk Mk.2' If you have seen the project before you'll notice that this design is a slight departure from the original A-31 Gunship. I guess this could be considered the fighter variant. This was in the Sci-Fi forum, but since the redesign it might be more appropriate to post here... Reviews are always welcome! You can check them out here! Support if you like :) Thanks, rongYIREN

Thanks DraikNova! Although the manga/ comic/ cartoony style is never really intentional, a lot of my stuff turns out that way - I guess it is jut my personal style.

Uh, oh... you might be upset. What you see in the cockpit is actually not a real minifig, it is a minifig head with one of the bodies from the LEGO 'Racers' theme from back in 2002. It's a cop out, I know, but this project is still a WIP. I'll get a minifig in there someday. I hope you are not too disappointed

Hey all, I added a new set to the Cuusoo project I'm working on...critiques welcome as usual. You can check them out here! and support if you like :) Thanks, rongYIREN

Ah, I didn't realize the thread was so old...

Wow, you really love building big, I just don't have the patience for such large builds, good for you! Love the colors and lighting and all the detail. I like how you've used those Toy Story aliens as the underlings, works quite well. One thing, it might be nice to see the set be a bit more asymmetrical in design. Of course you'd want to keep the long assembly line corridor but maybe vary the placement and heights of the towers??? Just a minor nitpick... Keep up the good work!

Yes, that Monster Fighters set is a must buy! And if you are looking for the new ghost I think it's a better buy than the polybag ghost.
