  1. Nice set! It looks better than expected. One thing that caught my eye though, 'Mystery On The Monorail.' Could it be a hint we are getting a new one? After all it looks differerent. Anyway, I will be getting it for sure!
  2. Wow! Very nice, reminds me of the station near me! And a very nice UK design!
  3. The build was pretty reasonable, it took about 1 hour and it was enjoyable to build. There wasn't really any new techniques that I couls see. It flies around the room very well and is stong to handle.
  4. Hello all, I bring you a possible World Exclusive review of the 60010 Fire Helicopter. Shipped in from LEGO.com it arrived today, so sit back and lets commence the review! Description: Fight the factory fire with the LEGO® City Fire Helicopter! The factory is ablaze! Fly the LEGO® City Fire Helicopter in to bring it under control! Hover into position and lower the brave firefighter down with the LEGO Power Functions winch. Put out the flames with the onboard water cannon before the whole factory goes up in smoke! The LEGO City firefighters are always ready to save the day! Includes 2 minifigures: a pilot and a firefighter with fire extinguisher. The Box The box is a square box much like the Star Wars boxes for £20 sets. It features a brave firefighter putting out the burning oil containers possibly causing havoc for LEGO Cities oil supplies! The box also has a circle showing the winch which we will get onto later. Back The normal box with all the features and action shots of the set. Side The side with the Pilot and Firefighter once again tackling the burning canisters. Manuals Two manuals for this, with a total page count of 105. Basic piece callouts and general 2 parts per step. Inventory. Minifigs The 2 figures supplied are very nice. Two new torsos (Well to me) and some nice printing on the legs too! (Which seems to be more common now) The backs are printed too. Both are very similar which is good assortment for your army of firefighters. The set This is the so-called factory that is put in the description. It doesn't look like a factory more like a section of storage. I wonder how it could have caught fire? Knowing LEGO we would be seeing no smoking signs or don't go beyond here kind of signs. Oh well. It has a large flame piece from Space Police set.(Freeze Ray Freezy is the set.) and some smaller classic flames. It also has the large barrel pieces seen on the Wind Turbine Set from 2009. The Helicopter Now the reason why we want the set! At a quick glance it looks like a hybrid of the 2010 Fire Helicopter and the 2010 Cargo Train. It has however fit very well and looks neat without too many large pieces. The set resembles the Sea King helicopter as seen here: You can tell it is based of this beacuse of the cockpit and wide open side near the back. Front Features Well this is it. Pretty basic! A water cannon and a tow rope. The water cannon pivots not too well and is only for decoration. The other side is empty. So what did I buy this set for? Well a small piece of function last seen on the 2008 Coast Guard Helicopter (Which I own) It has a small orange button on the side. When you pull the rope down it winds it up. When you press the button it pulls it back up. Pretty cool stuff. So it goes from this: to this! Also I wouldn't miss a time to show you a video too! The usual opening cockpit with levers and a double cheese with sticker. The front seems to have some domes, possibly equipment for measuring things, or locating, tracking etc. Ratings and Comments This set is my first 2013 set. As my first I think it is a good set and worth the money.(£30, Can't find for other counties). The minifigs are good and the helicopter is not another boring helicopter. (Although LEGO do seem to love them!) Some nice parts and accessories and it fits in with the new sets. Ratings Parts- 9/10 - Good new colours and new parts all round. Minifigs- 7/10 - Would have been nice for a worker that is trapped or something of that sort. Build- 8/10 - Not boring but not fantastic. Overall a good: 9/10 A great set worth the money and one to be picked up. Notes: Brickshelf (When modded) Brickset: This Set - Freeze Ray Frenzy - Coast Guard Heli - Wind Turbine Thanks For Reading!
  5. My 60010 Fire Helicopter arrived today! Excellent set. Should I put some pics up or do a review it for you all?
  6. Great! I wonder if I can grab the DS on sale and make one too! I love anything Hoth, after all I have nearly all of the Hoth sets....
  7. As a huge fan of LEGO Planes, (Got the 3182 for Christmas!) I really like it! A good use of the wings, (Not one part) and the aqua blue! Excellent! And the longer version is even better! Keep up the good work!
  8. Excellent work! I had noticed it on Brickshelf and I really loved it! Now better images and it looks like a mini UCS! I hope to see others in that style (Snowspeeder?) -DL824
  9. Great work on the Apartment, I looks nice and roomy, and the Emporium looks really good! I noticed a 8x16 gap between the two of them, you could make this (Or something like it) to fill it: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=55343 or just make a dark alley where all sorts of things go on... Carry on with the good work!
  10. Nice work! I like the colours and roof. Reminds me of the Minecraft roofs (If you play!) I have never watched the series but as a building it looks great! I will have to ask my friend who loves anime if she recognises it! -DL824
  11. Wow! Looks great! Thanks Grogall!! Helicopter Arrest  And High Speed Arrest  I might save a place on my Christmas list for those 2!
  12. Missed it last year, so I wasn't forgetting this year!! Here goes: Just a quicky, looks like another Christmas Punchup!
  13. Good god! That is one huge monster! Its great! It would never ever run on my layout (Seen it in on LEGO curves in your Brickshelf Folder!) Impressive work! Are there any instructions to go with this? Brick on!
  14. I had a small Dark Age from around February 2011 to August 2011. I got back into LEGO when I woke up one morning and said to myself: "I really feel like a LEGO set!" Apart from that, I have always enjoyed LEGO from around 2001.
  15. 1. Darthluke824 2. Bluecoats 3. Quartermaster, Colonel or Midshipman Thanks
  16. Thanks! It looks great!
  17. Hi, Can I have this please? Thanks
  18. Good idea you have there. When I had model trains (Hornby etc) I added extra wires from the main wire to different tracks, so I could run 2 trains at the same time. I also used points to my help. Example: (Sorry for brief drawing!) You may have to modify the cables but it can work. The only drawback is that the trains will run at the same speed. For access to say a switching yard, you can create points that link from track to track. Hope this helps!
  19. Hi all, You have probably seen me for that last 100 posts in the Star Wars and City sub-forums. I have always liked LEGO Trains ever since a friend bought me the My Own Train Green Passenger Wagon. (10015) Many years later I got hold of the 7938 on sale in late 2010. Then for my birthday I got the rare: http://brickset.com/detail/?Set=66374-1 while visiting a friend in Holland. I then got the Emerald Night in 2011 then the Maersk Train and the Metroliner for my Birthday this year! I really hope to get lots more trains in the future and hopefully the Horizon Express as a late Christmas present. I hope to make a new layout as I have moved house recently and have enough room. I also love making trains on LDD and I am working on a Eurostar that I will build soon. Here are my current trains: (Minus the HE) -Darthluke824
  20. Maybe add a page summary on each era 12v, etc and give the highlights and not so good parts to the System. You could also include the best and worst sets for each of those systems eg: 12V Intercity (7400??) 9V Metroliner Power Functions Horizon Express. Those are just my favorites though. If you are planning to account every set you could add: Picture of the side of the train with length, Amount of Minifigs, RRP, How many pieces and other small details which really make it extra good. Good luck, sounds great.
  21. Heh! They have just mentioned it on BBC News. No joke then.
  22. Wow!! *oh2* That is.... I can't think of anything to say. Lets hope it stays as classic as the Death Star shaft swing!
  23. That is a good idea. I had a monorail idea but couldn't afford the Airport Shuttle. One was at £200 on Bricklink and the next day it had gone! I did buy all the parts including the highly wanted motor cover and made my own design on LDD. I used a Power Functions Battery Box and a PF 9V converter wire for the motor. It came to a total of £50 for just the monorail parts. It worked well but then there is the track. 2 straight pieces alone are just £20! So from that point of view buy the set. If you want track, pieces and stations get the set. If your planning on making your own design buy just the pieces. Good luck.
  24. Hi all, Thought this would be a great topic, and the search results bring up nothing so.... Have you every been seriously scared? Now i'm talking holy cow kinda scares. I'll start off: 1. When I was younger I was warming up on a cold day in the evening and I looked up to see on the wall the most hideous brown spider at least 10cm long. It scared me so much I refused to look at it once it had been captured and put back outside. So share your stories! -DL824
  25. Wow! The Cement Mixer.....wait......the front flips up! *oh2* Like: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Kdy6-jKoSq8/TOFsOfBFiuI/AAAAAAAAALY/S4qw-ergsf8/s1600/0914001547.jpg Looks great!
