  1. I think I looked too often at the IKEA website ;)
  2. When I ordered at 2.30 AM in The Netherlands it still said 'Available', although the bricks indicating the stock level were all grey already. No delayed release date was shown at that time. Note: I paid 179,99 so Free Shipping... Now I am curious when I will receive the set!
  3. It would not be hard to implement a check on maximum x orders per account. ;-)
  4. Book I of the BI can now be downloaded from the LEGO website: http://www.lego.com/en-us/technic/products/construction/42009
  5. I read that you have planned to buy a lot of EV3 stuff as well. Are you going to make time for that or does it have to stand in the back of the line?
  6. I also have a few sets sitting in the basement waiting to be built: 8070 - 8110 - 9396 - 9398 There are several reasons I didn't build them until now: - No space to display them - No quiet place to build them and to really enjoy the build - Not enough spare time to come to rest and build them I am really looking forward to building them, especially 8110. But I want it be a great experience and am waiting for the right time and place. And the feeling that I still have a lot to build makes me happy as well ;)
  7. Parting everything out and selling it on BL would give you the most profit. But if you don't have time to build you certainly won't have time to run a BL shop... If you don't need the money I would suggest to store everything in a nice dry place. You will be very happy with this decision within a year or 10.
  8. Thanks! I am only missing 80 parts; mainly the dark blue ones... But they can be easily replaced by black or red ones. Now if only someone would be so kind to scan the BI we can start and don't have to wait until august 1...
  9. I would be happy with some more pictures of the body 'in progress', espedially the way it is attaches to the chassis since this is hard to see on the pictures that have been released until now. i would love to build the body in black or red on my 9398... I suppose TLG doesn't allow you to copy a BI booklet?
  10. Very nice design, great work! The price (189 euro @S&H?) is rather steep if you already own 9398. I consider building it with a black top instead of dark-blue. @rm8: Do you really need those new 11x3 panels or can you also use the old ones? I think I got almost all the darkblue parts in black and can start building if the BI come available...
  11. Another 4 months have passed. Any news from the front?

  13. The intention is there, now it's just a matter of finding time....
  14. Hi Ultimateau, You could upload your pictures first to Brickshelf, Flickr, or Picasa and then place a link to them in your post. Nice 42000 you have, I am builing one now in all red. I am curious how they compare! Could you make some (photo) instructions on how to motorize it? greetings, Theo
  15. I own 6 pinball machines: World Cup Soccer http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=2811 Theatre of Magic http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=2845 Attack from Mars http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=3781 Medieval Madnesshttp://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=4032 Monster Bash http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=4441 Revenge from Mars http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=4446 I bought these over the past 15 years as used machines off auctions sites and restored them to "almost new" condition. That is another hobby of me. And no, I don't work as a stock trader but have a simple job as Software Engineer at Oracle.
  16. After seeing all these nice setups I decided that it is about time that I show you mine. My LEGO collection is literally jammed in between my other two hobbies: Home Cinema and Pinball. In my basement, which is 4,5 x 5,5 m in size, I have one showcase that can contain about 10 models. Since I came out of my Dark Age, one year ago, I bought more than 20 so here is the problem... So every time I buy a new set something else has to go. On the other hand this is a good thing since I don't have LEGO all around my house now. I like building large MOCs like Jurgens Backhoe. The actual building takes place in my study or on the dining table in the living room. If you look closely at the picture you can also recognize Mahjqa's Metal Grudge, Nico's Crawler and Sariels Mercedes. Jurgens Koenigsegg and Designer Han's 8421 XL are next on the list. I also bought Sariels book so may be in the future I can design my own MOCs. I have about 15 compartment boxes I bought at a local DIY store called 'Karwei'. They come with different size compartments, so that's nice. Whenever I start a new project I take a black box with changeable compartments and pick the parts I need. Can you tell which project I am going to work on next? Sorry for the bad pictures but the lighting in the basement is a problem and I only have a very simple camera..
  17. David, thanks for the explanation but I know Rebrickable. I even helped develop the 'Find Parts to Build' function.... Personally I like BrickStore better for subtracting large sets from each other, especially if you want to change colors first. The remainder can then easily be exported to BL. This is the way I found out what parts I had to pick/order to build an 'all red' 42000...
  18. I own about 30 Technic sets now but have very little room to display and store them. When a new set comes out I first check how many parts I am missing from my collection and how much they would cost on BL or LEGO Direct. As a rule of thumb: if the investment is less than 25% of the setprice I go for the loose parts on BL or LEGO Direct. For instance: the new 42000 costs about 90 euros here in The Netherlands. For about 25 euro I can upgrade my 8386 to an 'all red' 42000. I will go for that option; saves me money and, more important, space! Therefore I am very curious how many new parts you need to build 42009 if you own already 8421-8265-8043...
  19. Nice video! I like how the outtriggers function! What I don't like is that you still have to lower the hook to be able to extend the boom. I wish they (you) had those functions be executed simultaneously so that the hook stays at the same height all the time.
  20. Would you be so kind to reveal the name of this shop to other Dutch readers? Or is this a secret you keep for yourself? BTW: Mine is www.legohuis.nl Good prices and great service!
  21. Does that mean that they have to change the box art as well? Or does it happen that the box art differs from the final model?
  22. Nice work! And good to see that it can be built without any new parts. BTW: Are the black panels on the end not available in yellow or didn't you have any left over? I am really curious about the parts inventory to compare it with 8421. Can you make one if you break down the model? (if ever...)
  23. ??? When you go to Orders Placed and you click on the icon just left of the seller name (looks like a scroll) you navigate to page where all the items on your wanted list that you just ordered are shown. Here you can delete them from your wanted list or move them to another wanted list. Is this what you are looking for?
