  1. I missed this one! Personally, I'm not a big fan of those white hats, but man, those torsos! I want those, too! What a great find. I've said it before, but there's definitely a market out there for Imperial torsos in different colors: grey, white, green, orange, ... That'd be so cool. As always, the landscaping is top notch. While I get that the microphones they're holding are cannon balls, I always find it difficult to actually imagine these as cannon balls. They'll always somewhat stay mics to me. Still, it's a clever parts usage.
  2. Great addition to your other MOC. I love how you made the round window here. Simple and effective. A minor nitpick: maybe you could've tiled the top of the roof? Everything looks rather smooth, so the studs on the roof kind of stick out visually.
  3. Like I said on Flickr: these are some excellent figures and dieselpunk/Weird War 2 vibe is definitely there. Can't wait to see the mech you're building to accompany these guys. Is the mech also kind of based on Jakob's artwork?
  4. Haha! What a funny MOC . The story is excellent and the presentation is so well done! You've really captured the action of the raid and the destruction of the barrels. What a great callback to the Simpsons episode. The whole situation of "fake" milk feels so Mesabi Landing indeed. Like Ayrlego said: it gets funnier if you start spotting all the different animals being used for their milk.
  5. I'm not really up to date regarding the Monkie Kid line and its sets, so seeing this strikes me as a surprise. What an interesting concept for a set! I love the overall feeling of this, with the mountain tops peaking through the white clouds, the exotic trees, the variety of monkeys. So neat and rather unique, I think.
  6. There's not much I can say that has already been said: beautiful builds from the both of you. Its size is inspiring and the activity going on everywhere is really fun to see and check out. Both builds go together really well, too. Very cool!
  7. That prison cell is sooo well-built and clever. I love the chains coming through the ceiling to hold up the bunk beds. An interesting build for sure!
  8. Just like your other vessel, this is one is beauty too. I prefer the color scheme and built of the other ship, because the tan makes it visually less "popping", but overall it's still a gorgeous vessel and waaaay beyond anything I can build in terms of ships. The entire build is so clean and detailed! I love you've actually added a leopard figure head to the ship! One question though: who's the Minecraft figure laying in the sloop?
  9. Beautiful ship! I love the shaping and the color scheme you chose. The helm sitting below the deck is an interesting and intriguing concept. I didn't know they made ships like that. Do you have a link to your reference? I'd love to a real life version of this.
  10. Beautiful build! I love the roughness of both the stone house and the white house. I really like the stone stables, actually. The red door gives a nice pop to it and the general vibe is just something you don't see that often, I think. It makes think of British/Scottish medieval houses or colonial buildings in Canada. The bricks should align properly if you make the upper part of the window a 2 stud plate too. The math between the vertical and horizontal bricks is off now and it would require a lot of fidgeting to make it correct again. However, this way you don't get the nice effect of a smaller top part of the window, of course.
  11. Gorgeous architecture and colors. That fountain is cleverly built and the graveyard is a nice addition to the church. I also like the way you made the priests. Too bad the Gandalf torso doesn't exist in brown.
  12. There's not much I can add to what has already been said, so I'll just echo the others: WOW, what an incredible build! So much good stuff about this: the lay-out and structure of the MOC, the colors that are realistically muted yet still colorful enough to make it visually interesting, the storytelling via the small scenes in the streets, ... The list of interesting stuff is endless. Great techniques throughout as well and I just love that there are even some interiors. I thought this MOC would mainly be just facades, but then I checked Flickr for more pictures and was pleasantly surprised to see interiors. Great stuff all around! This should be frontpaged, it's incredible.
  13. Quaint build! The scene feels very real and alive. The sheep and their movement looks great, as does the wheat. Like Ayrlego said: it's nice to see a scene such as this during these turbulent times.
  14. Neat solution to the tsunami. The city built atop the old one, with the whole pole-village setting creates a really interesting dynamic for future builds and gives Mesabi Landing a cool and unique style.
  15. Beautiful, just beautiful! The setting, the build, the details. Perfection! Once again, I applaud your integration of the lavender tiles into this MOC. So cool to see all of your Wulham builds tied together by this. It's a very neat accent color, that works really well here. I love weathered mossy roof and the offsetting of the shingles. That's something I haven't seen done a lot. The texturing and weathering on the walls is also perfect, to me at least. Not too little, not too much. Really great MOC! EDIT: Forgot to mention the tree. So beautiful too, with those autumn colors. It adds a nice extra splash of color to the whole scene. Great combination of those big leaves and then the smaller orange pieces.
  16. Ah yes, that was the word I was looking for! It was on the tip of my tongue, yet I just couldn't come up with the word. My French is rusty in general and my knowledge of nautical French terms is mostly non-existent, so thanks for the extra information regarding the brig/brick. I would've never have known that, if you guys hadn't pointed out the mistake there.
  17. Ah yes, that makes sense . Aha, okay, makes sense too! I thought it was a LEGO joke/wordplay, but in hindsight the grammar would've also been off if that were the case. Thanks for the correction.
  18. The text is simply the solutions to the "find the X amount of differences" game. My French isn't perfect, but here's what it says: "Solutions: In the governor's fortress: the flag has changed; there are two guards instead of one. On the Governor's Brick: the flag has changed direction; the character that climbs the ladder is higher; one of the cannons is hidden; a character in the front has disappeared; the shark has changed direction On the pirate ship: at the front, the monkey has disappeared; the figure at the bow (aka figurehead) has lost its glass; the first pirate in the sloop has changed his hat; the pirate at the end of the "roping" (can't come up with the proper English term now: the line that runs from the front of the ship to the back) is missing; at the back, there is a pirate missing." The Governor's Brick is probably the name of the blue-sailed ship and the pirate ship of which the text speaks is missing from your image.
  19. Interesting build and accompanying story! Like the others have said, you've nailed the dilapidated feeling perfectly and the abandoned cellar is perfect for a secret safehouse. Curious to see where the Count's adventures take him next! A minor nitpick on the photography: the second image of your post would seem "neater" or "better" to me if it weren't so crooked. Now it shot at an angle and kind of zoomed in, which gives it a weird crop. I think the photo would've been better if the horizon of your build was straight and a bit more zoomed out, so nothing is cut off. Of course, a faux Dutch Angle could also be a stylistic choice here, considering it's the Count we're talking about .
  20. It must've taken you ages to put together another build this massive! The scale of this is jaw-dropping. The angled walls are very interesting and are very smoothly integrated. I also like the addition of the sharpened stakes outside and the fact that there's even an interior included. Enemies will think twice now, before trying to mess with Jiangkai.
  21. Forgot to comment on this one when I first saw it, but I really like the rather unique look of this microbuild. The gabled "redbrick" warehouse is something you don't often see at this scale. For such a small build, it is really well-done and interesting to look at.
  22. Wow, that's really neat to see this sort of continuity! I had to look super close to spot them, though .
  23. Clean build, with an interesting base and some great minifigures. It first I didn't get that the spheres on the sticks were watermelons until I read the text. Now the pink stuff they're eating makes sense .
  24. Gorgeous build! I love its simple and straightforward look. It suits the purpose of commoners' housing. Great choice of colors all-around, too and that roof is just perfect.
  25. Like Keymonus said: nice little vignette! It's perfectly cluttered with enthousiast minifigs. For some reason, I also really like the laurel on the door as an extra added touch. It adds a nice splash of color to the walls and gives the pub a bit of extra personality.
