Am I the only one wondering whether the Nexo Knights world features any of the classic fantasy races? I can imagine dwarves being major shareholders and a large part of the workforce in factories, while elves do a lot of solar panel/organic tech research. That'd make a nice explanation for Mushlord, now that I think of it.

In general, if one of your prisoners is several times taller and at least fifteen times as heavy as your other prisoners, it's not a good idea to keep them in the same area.

[MOD/MOC] Calypso (heavily modified 70748)
DraikNova replied to TheEdge's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Beautiful work. Much sleeker, more detailed and generally better than the generally gappy and awkward original. -
Star Wars Constraction - Character Wishlists

Jabba, because green pieces and the highly advanced CCBS techniques that would be required to approximate his shape. -
Personally, I'd prefer if Bionicle went for the Hero Factory route of introducing enough characters to make a secondary team, which would allow for alternating of featured characters. That way we wouldn't get, say, Onua four years in a row, but after 2016 we would instead get Onua, [new Toa if Earth], Onua, [nToE], etc.

I think the black armor looks best on Macy and Clay, to be honest. At any rate, both in Germany and where I live Nexo Knights seems to be popular.

Personally, I'm hoping that they don't change the knights' color scheme. Constant changing of color schemes makes it so much harder to acquire suitable amounts of parts in the right colors.

Yeah, that's a pretty major annoyance for me. I'd like to see them maybe split up the Toa over two waves, so that they could give them all the $15 pricepoints and leave the $20's over for some imposing villains. Or at least they could make next year's small sets villains too. Not being able to get more than one villain for the heroes to battle is a pretty major oversight.

Klinkers became a sort of insect-pterosaurian creature with a buzzsaw tail, while the Weldos dragon got a trash compactor jaw, jetpacks instead of wings and a wrecking ball tail. I'll upload pictures soon.

Really? Isn't there a ton of aquatic medieval folklore that you could use to work these into your castle universe?
-
He (assuming this character is male) has a fork for a hand and what appear to be bat wings for ears. Seems a little dark and boring though, compared to other character designs.

How is it having an all-female cast more ridiculous than the original having an all-male cast?

Ghostbusters (Reboot) 2016 sets rumors and discussion
DraikNova replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Loving this model. So much more interesting visually than the first, plus it can seat all four. And of course, there's the tr. smoke wings and skeleton torso. Hoping we get more sets based on the reboot than just this and some dimensions packs, even if that only happens next year. Kind of weirded out how many people seem to dislike this reboot for arbitrary reasons. -
The real lego parts are one tr. neon orange banner piece, unprinted, 60478 (1x2 with clip) in black, 2x 2555 (or whatever the number of that particular version is, it's the 1x1 modified tile with upright holder) in dark bluish grey, 63864 (1x3 tile) in dark grey and a 8x16 plate in blue (connected to the cardboard) plus a blue 11477 (1x2x2/3 bow). It's a nice bonus, plus you get a tr. red shield inlay with whip printing, which I believe is exclusive.

Got all of series 7 yesterday. I'm not too interested in the max for the Mixies, but the other ones look cool. Instead, for the Mixies, I'm going to continue my tradition of warping absolutely every Mixel tribe into a dragon.
-
Just got the battle station and the mini fortrex. The mini fortrex is cool, but the battle station, aside from having only seven real pieces and Merlok being a sticker, also misspells "Axl" as "Axel".
-
Huh. If it's glued on, I might have to use a knife to remove the glue when I get it.
-
That's an awesome layout. The armory and shield inlay display areas are very nicely done. And I was hoping someone would make a hover horse landing pad area for the Fortrex. Would you mind if I take inspiration from your design when making my own?

Incidentally, if you live in the Netherlands, there's a great little shop in the center of Delft that has all the Nexo Knights sets up to 20% cheaper than in LEGO stores. I think I'm going to end up buying all of my Nexo Knights' sets there. It's the only way I'm going to be able to afford everything. 6*10+2*10+2*20+30+40+60+100+10 (estimated price of Glob Lobber)+20 (Thunder Mace)+40 (Aero-Striker)+60 (Siege Machine of Doom)+80 (Tower Carrier)+120 (Volcano Base)=$680, or 612 with double VIP points used to reduce it. Taking into account the prices that store uses, well, it's still pretty high, but $580 is pretty good, all things considered. EDIT: Just a thought: How great would it be if we got a printed microfigure made to match the plushies sold at the tournament in the first episode? Really hoping we get a set that depicts the actual kingdom at some point, as it'd be the only real opportunity we have to get some of the background characters of the show.

I love the minifigures you came up with, to be honest. Were you involved in Ultimate Macy's design? I just got the set today, along with Moltor's Lava Smasher (another great pair of figs), and she looks gorgeous. Regarding the argument:
-
Wow. That's annoying.
-
Those little extra shooters are a nice touch.
-
Lovely.

That's just...what. I'm always amazed by the sheer lack of basic design in bootleg models. Sure, the whole point of bootlegs is to avoid effort, but is it that hard to put a bunch of bricks into a slightly different yet still reasonable-looking combination? Got to agree with you on that one.

I think it includes one Merlok 2.0 hologram and one banner, plus one plain blue baseplate. I'm going to get it on Thursday.
