After a lot of tractors and construction vehicles, it was time for me to build another truck. This off road truck is based on the Iveco Eurocargo 4x4 with a knuckleboom crane. Full instructions may be found for free at Rebrickable.com. The truck features the following: Rear wheel drive Two speed transmission I3 engine Rear pendular suspension Steering with HOG Dual outriggers Boom slewing Boom lift with HOG Boom section 2 lift Boom extension Three way tipper bed with HOG control Tilting cab Opening doors I had a lot of fun making this MOC, and I hope some of you are able to enjoy recreating it for yourself should you choose. All folded up. And all opened up. The rear tipper bed tips three ways. If for whatever reason you need to Studio file, send me a PM, and I'm happy to share. And a little video if you find it helpful. I hope you enjoy!

[TC23] Serpentine

Very cool and hypnotic: the perfect GBC. I'm proud of anyone who can make something for this contest. And coming right after your podium for TC22! -
[WIP] Studless 8480
Thirdwigg replied to msk6003's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Very cool project. I love all these studless rebuilds of older sets, and this is a classic. I look forward to how you are going to do the wings. -

All this make sense. It's a small build, and you have a lot in it already. Great job, and I look forward to seeing it in Yellow. -
[MOC] mini tribute to 42114

That's fair. I wondered if maybe you could use the room for something like a HOG link or something. But if it's not limiting your, then keep it in. -

Cute little dumper. I like the shaping of the hood and front bumper. I'm with @Jundis, drop the center diff. -
[MOC] Mecalac 12MTX - Finished
Thirdwigg replied to Jundis's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Fantastic work, and I'm happy I was able to give a little inspiration! I like the system bricks, but only for the yellow parts. The black parts of the cab would be fine without any system bricks. I love the sliding door on the cab. The range of motion on the arm is great, and the extra feature of the side bending arm is a perfect addition. Great job! -

Fair point. OK, so more than two functions. -

That would be nice, but then it would mean TLG would need to design a set with more than one function. -
I tend to build this way too. I often find that MOCs look "undertired" when the tire size perfectly matches the scales size. As other have said, this is truly a great MOC. The colors looks great, and the shaping of the rear engine compartment is perfect. I remember through the development how you had some difficulty with the exhaust, and I think the solution you devised is perfect. While I have my issues with C+, I do think using it makes the MOC a little more future proof, so I respect your decision to use this rather than stick with PF. It's always tricky working pneumatics with motors, so well done incorporating the two. My favorite detail is the lifting rings that are on the rear bumper mounted studs sideways. It's little, but I love it. Congratulations on a great MOC.

Thanks, yeah, the pump is a fun addition, particularly for the trailers. I have not found it too helpful for implements yet though. Thanks again, and let me know if you get a chance to build it. If green is tricky, black is a an easy solution I understand, thanks. Yep, that was the idea. Glad you like it.

Yeah, I like this one too. I love the exposed rear tires at the rear. The gentle up and down curve of the beltline is great too. Great job!

Alright, another tractor for the Thirdwigg Farm: The John Deere Axron. This is a blatant copy of the Claas Xerion, but I wanted to use some yellow wheels, and some of the newish green parts were on my list to use. The tractor is built in the same scale as the Atmos and the Scout, and features the same front and rear attachment points, so it cleanly integrates with all the trailers and implements. The tractor features: Four wheel drive Four wheel steering I4 fake engine (kindof) Rotating cab Rear PTO Rear pneumatic takeoff Front attachment Rear three point hitch Opening door Instructions are available for free at Rebrickable.com. Here it is attached to the Hookloadr Trailer. The cab rotates, but I don't have an implement to take advantage of this function...yet. And here are all the tractors together. Each tractor and implement can be found for free at Rebrickable.com. Finally a video of the Axron. Enjoy!

Thanks! Yeah, there are too few parts to keep the tractor and the trailer separate. Glad you like the tile top. Thanks a lot! I had some fun placing all the panels. Thanks so much. I know! I doesn't take that much effort, but I guess they have just given up and said, "rebrickable can do it for us." And frankly, that might be a better option these days. Thanks! I'm glad you like it. There was a moment while building where I was like "I can use the wheels here!" I'm happy I found the idea. Thanks! Yeah, I'll definitely try another B Model. I have 42139 now too, so I'll see what I can do with that one. It has more parts, which may help me a little more. But also more colors, which makes it a little harder. Yeah, Green and normal Blue are the two colors for which I keep shaking my head at LEGO. I would be great if both colors were fully built out. I'm glad you like it as the A model. Thanks for the comment. Or Tracuck? Track? Truck? Trutor? This is fun!

I finally broke down at bought LEGO 42136, and while it's not great, it's inexpensive and mostly green. I have never built an alternative model, so I figured this would be a good little set for me to try it out. This is the result. The articulated dumper features steering and dumping. Most of the parts from 42136 are used, with a couple left over (including spares). Dumping is manual. Steering is controlled by the HOG on the roof. Instructions are available at rebrickable.com if you are interested. I might have to try another B-Build, as it is an interesting challenge.
