  1. Great humorous entry. Uncle will pick one up for sure!
  2. Great landing scene! I really like the vegetation on either side and the micro ships also!
  3. Yes, I think Uncle needs one of those! The first and most interesting thing Bob found was, as always, a pool of water.
  4. Love all the Corries sticking out of that carriage! In fact you did a great job with the fig posing on this, the coins flying out of the Red Fandago's sack are great! Good job on the slanted rock too and I really like the little bit of a park in the back. Not so sure about the building, which seems to end rather oddly. The gangplank to nowhere is also extremely odd in the build context, although it makes sense in the story... still... But the umbrella atones for all shortcomings.
  5. The quartet's first contact with the wildlife is a distant, but alarming one.
  6. No problem! Kaliphlin has cities, swamps, mountains - lots of places to explore without running across a single grain of sand! (Which reminded me of another collection of MOCs you might like to check out...) And if you're like most of us, once you get hooked your collection will expand pretty fast!
  7. To some people, relics of antiquity are not nearly as interesting as flowers.
  8. Vance has found a magnificent relic of antiquity!
  9. Actually there was a dog barking away at me as I took most of these pictures, so I did throw him into the background for one of them, although it's not a very artistic shot, more humorous. You'll see it one of these days!
  10. A true artist sees beauty even in mud. ;) Thanks! It's fun to find different spots that will do even at such small scales! So do I! Thanks! Actually got a touch of snow last Sunday here too! But yeah, the grass has been getting greener! These pictures were all taken in the St. Louis area. Thank you!
  11. I think Kaliphlin is the best fit for Mediterranean but it wouldn't be totally out of place in Avalonia either. There have been some Mediterranean style builds in Kaliphlin quite a while ago - I don't think I could find them but I did remember this, which you might be interested in as giving some examples of great builds from each guild!
  12. Vance sighs over the underbrush as he hacks his way through.
  13. Or so says the stuck-up snobby Avalonian who's never been outside of the Mystic Isles!
  14. Yes, that is indeed right at the edge of the builder transition! The buildings aren't attached, but Garmadon's overhanging roof sure didn't give me a lot of room on that lot so I just did what I could! I hear you about the wider canals, would have liked to do that here but we realized that it would have taken too much space away from the houses. Plus, it would have used up way more Duplos than we had on hand! Thank you!
  15. Welcome to the guilds, Ares, despite your unfortunate leanings! Kaliphlin is clearly the way to go and anyone who slanders us by suggesting that sand is all we have to offer deserves to be fed to the southern sea monster!
  16. This is more of a garden than a wilderness. I'm in Missouri. Amira was possibly more interested in the flowers than in finding Bob...
  17. Thank you! I have a great camera, and I'm learning!
  18. A few hours into the exploring adventure, Amira suddenly realized that Bob had disappeared. A frantic search ensued which eventually revealed... Bob. Thanks! Thanks Bregir!
  19. Great job recreating Garmadon's inn! The stone part of the wall looks quite nice with the 1x1 round pieces and looks much easier to have the parts for! And I wonder what that minion is doing there?
  20. Thank you!
  21. If you just twiddle your eyes right, blink twice, and squint hard... I see something of a saber, "5" isn't much of a hilt to be sure but it's in the area where a hilt might be, and "4" is definitely the blade. Don't overthink it.
  22. Uncle appreciates a view even after climbing a rocky cliff, but he may be alone in that.
  23. Hi guys! Here's something a little unique from me. I'm away from my bricks but I brought the quirky quartet - Uncle, Vance, Amira, and Bob - along with me. I've been snapping some pictures and I'll add one a day to this thread (except on Sundays) for as long as they last! Time-wise these are set right after the quartet's arrival on Celestia and their treehouse, and before their discovery of the flower. ------- Vance: Waaait! Are you getting a picture? Stop, everyone, stop! You've got to let me go in front with my explorer's pose. So everyone waited for five minutes while Vance slowly dragged himself through the tall grasses to the front.
  24. The lion knights theme is typically associated with Kaliphlin, so lnking your character's backstory to Kaliphlin might explain the influence of those colors. I think it's fine for an Avalonian to have troops that use different colors at home from the Avalonian colors, but it's a little stranger for them to use colors or a sigil that is usually linked to Kaliphlin. But, I am not an Avalonian, I'm a Kaliphlinian. Maybe they're more picky about colors than I imagine.
