  1. Great job with the front of the car especially, very creative use of the binoculars!
  2. Awesome car! Love the style and the detail of the front engine especially!
  3. I kind of doubt it, what a shame you might not get to enter, Kaliplin really needs some more entries! At least I've got mine done (click-picture-topic): Now that I know what I'm doing (sort of) with my camera, I took a (hopefully better) picture of my sig-fig as well: And with Challenge V done, I plan on having part three of my travel log up soon!
  4. Long, long ago, before Kaligem, the one time capitol of Kaliphlin, was destroyed, a wise and wealthy group of dwarfs, foreseeing the devastation that was to come upon their city, created a chalice of pure gold, that would hold the red ruby, the legendary crystal that led the founders of the city of Kaligem to the location it then had. They built a temple for it, hidden deep in the great escarpment, where the crystal would not be found before the time was ripe, when the wisest man, apart from the leader of Kaliphlin, would find it and, with it, would re-establish Kaligem as a powerful city once more. And to protect this man from his enemies, they created a helmet of protection, that would, it is said, keep him from any harm. Gradually the temple around the ruby decayed, but the inside remained ever new, as beautiful as the day it was built. The time is now ripe, and the people of Nadur, whose city had been destroyed, have come to search for the temple. Finally, they have found it, they are setting up there camp and will soon be scaling the precipice. But they must have caution - who knows what powers lie within? Here lies the remains of the temple, still fairly well preserved, that houses the key to the peace of Kaliphlin. (This may pop at you sort of out of the blue, or white, but it's right above the helment.) And here is the helment of protection, said to fit only the man destined to wear it. But be careful! Should the approching man be the wrong one, the trapdoor will open under his feet, shutting again on top of him and keeping him trapped! If he's the right one, the trap door will wait unitl he gets off it. . . . . . to reveal the red chamber within! (Sorry, I couldn't resist the red. I just have so much of that color! Now let's step back (and up). . . and take a view of the camp! A small fish makes a big splash as he jumps into the river. . . . . . while the leaders prepare to confront whatever lies within! My dear little kity cat wouldn't come down from the roof. . . Inside the little shed are several barrels and other belongings. Cutting wood for the next lean-to that is being built. (I'll give Legonardo credit for this, but I honestly wasn't thinking about your's when I built it!) Nothing's better than a day's work under the sun! Someone else thinks there's nothng better than a day's sleep under the sun. . . A few more! pictures at my Flickr. I know that was an awful lot, but there's no limit (within reason) and I really didn't see how I could cut out any of those. . . Feedback is appreciated as always! Hope you enjoyed it!
  5. Love the bubling purple and the spooky feel here. Those kind of round towers always look fantastic, all the detail you've added to this one really makes it stand out! Awesome creation!
  6. Episode 24 good quality: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_profilepage&v=FGLxHCcSLuc Looking at this one, it already seems really old to me, the next episode was so much more exciting!
  7. Great job! Love your use of the serpentine head, and all the horns! "Nice" expression on the orc head as well!
  8. I agree. More accurately, it would be a very tight squeeze. Although the CMF bags are flexible, I doubt LEGO would push it that much. If they did though, it would make finding a Medusa very easy!
  9. I saw this on Flickr a while ago and it looks fantastic! I love those windows and the details and color scheme are suberb! Great job!
  10. Love that oak! Great job Mikey, you've got some beautiful details there especially the little tents. Somehow though, I just can quite reconcile the in-between-ness (not abrupt enough like the others, and not slow enought to be natural) of the 3 stud base change on the side closest to the photo. (You've also got a green strip going straight across the path, which I'm picky enough to mention. . . ) Other than that, fantastic entry!
  11. Nice job! I like the crane and the smoke really looks great, very creative! Nice daffodils vampiric daffodils as well!
  12. Looks great! Love the SNOT and the shields!
  13. Yeah, guess I was wrong. And the head croc has a torn red cape too.
  14. Just now noticed that both the front lion and the croc have capes there. I'm not sure about the crocs, but the none of lions have capes in the sets.
  15. Metalic purple. Now that would be something!
  16. Great job, love all the palm trees and the smaller pool especially!
  17. Apparently, your sigfig doesn't like having to turn yellow. . . Actually, that torso and pants make a nice combo.
  18. Since this is just somebody's scan I'm free to post it, right? Apparently this is what will be on the back of the Club magazine (opening flap): LEGO Legends of Chima by tormentalous, on Flickr
  19. If you're not interested in the game, and you like NRG Cole, I'd say it's a good buy (although, if you were in to the game, he doesn't have very good cards), his golden weapon has useful pieces. (However, IMHO he's not the coolest, neither is his spinner, but the crown is nice - although crowns, and spinners, arn't that useful in MOCing.) One note though, he's not as bright as he looks, or as bright as the other NRG.
  20. Great job so far, love the little house you've got going there and the foilage so far. I'd suggest a few round 1x1 plates in the water trough though. Nice work!
  21. That's about what I was trying to say - and I do hope it becomes a released minfigure eventually, I'd really love a counterpart to the S4 Hockey Player, and red would be awesome!
  22. You should get your doctor to prescribe a vacation for your sigfig. . . hey, that would make a nice MOC. . .
  23. Just wait till you hear this, it gets even better - after summer here, I'm visiting the US 9 months or so to get summer there - and then be back just in time for another summer down here! Three summers in a row! (No, I don't get to do that every year. . .)
  24. Glad to see you haven't totally forgoten about opening it up, I'd be more than happy to send mine through a Mitgardian!
  25. Very nice tower! Love the statue on the side, and the tan-haired minifig especially looks great!
