Excellent job! Great serpent and very nice way to do the boat!
-
Thanks dG! Boats actually aren't so hard! You should try them out! Thanks! Yes, round plates in the walls seem to work very well!

Congrats to the winners! Thanks for the challenge SK as well!

I agree, though I think it's unlikely anyone would actually obtain the position that way. -

I'm afraid this part of Kaliphlin isn't particularly thrilled about having such an ambitious character ruling... -

Excellent job! The size is mind-blowing and the wall texture is great! I like the way you had the orcs do the work as well! Great work! On another note... I knew when you said you'd enter I was doomed...

Guilds of Historica Introduction/General Discussion Thread
Kai NRG replied to I Scream Clone's topic in Guilds of Historica
The idea sounds great so far. I kind of would like to stay with the people already on the Kaliphlin group, but I guess some mix and match will be fun. Why not bring the army with you? -
Fantastic work! Excellent concept and just really good job overall! Love the smoothness of the entire MOC, that SNOT water works really well and the tower sticks out from the rock very nicely! Great job!

Excellent job! Great statue and that ground is very nice!
-
Very nice job! Certainly your best yet! I like the height of the tower especially!

Thanks everyone! A brown ninja would be too hard if I wanted to stay purist... Thanks! Yeah, I remember that part! Thanks! Thanks Kristel! I really liked the different hints of color the belts gave!

We'd probably be better off PMing him or something... -

I yielded to the pressure and built another town MOC... though it's probably not as good as my last one. Inspired mainly by the posablity of legs without the middle piece... The overall build is a bit simple, but I couldn't come up with any thing else to put there that would fit with the dojo style and didn't want to add two walls. Thanks for looking though and I hope you liked it!

Very funny! I think to count though you probably have to give the MOC it's own topic. Just go to the forum page and up at the top you'll see the start new topic button.

I agree that that's a good idea. Fits in fine with my character as I am planing on going and founding my own city (Auner, I actually mentioned it a long time ago) soon anyways. -

I agree that a council would be nice. How about we do something like this... to be able to be part of the council, you must build something showing, say, your figure running for a council slot or in council, or some council-related topic. That can be judged then by the current council members and if they think it's good enough then that person will become a council member. To start the council off the specified people would build, but of course they wouldn't be judged (or could be judged by the rest of the specified people? - but they would probably make it anyway). I like the idea of a council as that would make organizing guild challenges, awarding specific titles (as Si suggested at the beginning if I recall correctly), etc. easier. -
Thanks SK! Yeah, took a while to come up with a good railing design! Yes, I did! I wanted a rolled up sail and that set immediately came to mind! Thanks! Thanks Nightstalker! Hmm... most of it is SNOT (studs-not-on-top) building. I started out with a few grey bricks on their side and a grey 8x1 (later sized down to 6x1) sticking up in the middle (to attach the layers better). I had to put up-side-down bricks against up-side-down bricks a couple times, so I used SNOT to make them attach as well. All in all it's pretty complicated! Thanks! Like JopieK pointed out, they're from the new LotR set. Thanks Wedge!
