  1. Built long, long ago, the Siccus Aqueduct brings water from the Rakath Mountains right down to the heart of Kaliphlin, watering what is essentially a garden right in the middle of the desert! All along this narrow strip vegetation grows luxuriantly. One of the greatest attractions are, of course, the numerous food vendors located at the most touristic spots along the strip: The aqueduct provides perfectly usable drinking water even in the middle of the desert! C&C are welcome! The build didn't quite end up fitting the "wonder" title like I had wanted (and certainly not like SK's...), but hopefully you still enjoyed it!
  2. Is it ok if I combine more than one task? I don't mean all two/three/four in one scene, but more like three or four scenes in different parts of the same build (similar to dG's recent training build). I have quite a lot to do (both LEGO and otherwise) during September!
  3. Six is nothing. You should try a seven, that would help shake things up a bit! Actually, six is pretty hard. Anything under 5.5 is just a little tremor though.
  4. Excellent job! Very nice first build for Avalonia! Great tree there and the transition from it to the stone fortress is very smooth! Great work!
  5. Thanks Lightningtiger! Thanks! Not sure I'll be building modulars too soon though... (I actually attempted one a long time ago, but I didn't have enough bricks) I'll try to snap a photo of that technique. Thanks! Thanks! Bigger and better... that's what I'm aiming for!
  6. "Well, we could check..." "...but I'm pretty sure it's two dogs..." I've been wanting to try out the fence technique for a while, and this joke from my old Spanish course gave me the perfect opportunity... Another town build from me! Nothing too big, but I hope you enjoyed it! C&C welcome, and thanks for looking!
  7. Congrats to Gideon for getting front paged on CC!
  8. Excellent job! The four corner idea is brilliant, and very nice rooms especially the education one!
  9. Well, I can't say I know much about Qarkyr but I guess I can represent it. Since the unknown city of ruins is just that - ruins - there's not much point in representing it at least right now!
  10. Actually, if you'd rather, I don't think the council guy has to be your main character.
  11. Yes, I imagine there could well be a lot of debate on that question! After all, I guess there's no way to know!
  12. Yeah, I sort of did in my Challenge VI and made it the rendezvous for my army, but if anyone objects it doesn't really need to have been found. Like I mentioned, I don't plan on using it much (if at all) in the future.
  13. I can represent Kaligem, for now at least. I don't plan to use it too much in future story lines of my own, but my character Kaflar will stay there as governor. (I've been planning for quite a while now to make an MOC where Ageven goes off with just a few followers back to the little peninsula down there, but I'm having trouble getting around to it!)
  14. Glad to see you've still got the SNOT tower in there! Looking great so far!
  15. Ah, I see. I wasn't quite sure from the way it was phrased...
  16. What exactly would you suggest as a way to "get something going"? Edit: I mean, how would the average Kaliphlin be able to have a say in who becomes the core leader at this stage? How soon are we looking to have a core leader? (Sorry if it came off a bit snappy at first, that wasn't how I intended it.)
  17. Quite a bit of hype you've got going here SK!
  18. Z sure hasn't done a lot of impressive things!
  19. Warm whether? It's been hitting 50 Fahrenheit down here... and that's inside. Anyway, it does seem to be getting quiet. What exactly are we planning on doing about the council thing? From what I can tell, it's still feasible despite the new developments, but if we just let it rest I don't think much is going to happen...
  20. Thanks Ecc! Thanks DM! I am starting to find hands more and more useful!
  21. Since I don't think I'll have time to join all three, I think I'll try for this one! In other words, I volunteer!
  22. I don't recall my thread ever being stickied... ? The MOC index is now linked to in the one sticky non-guild thread. I had started to link to sig-figs as well as other info. In fact I've almost finished a pretty major update. But I'm more than happy to leave that sort of thing to someone else! I do agree that it would be great to have all the sig-figs linked to in the first comment in the guild thread. (Both Kaliphlin and Avalonia have semi-complete lists.) But it does seem like that is just too much to keep updated, if history has taught us anything!
  23. Fighting? I don't think we'll have to do much fighting to conquer Avalonia...
  24. Looks to me like Kaliphlin and Mitgardia are doing a good job of sticking together. Maybe we should pair up to destroy Avalonia once and for all! On second thought, pairing up might not be necessary...
  25. About that. Too late. But yeah, I agree with Masa. No taxation without representation!
