  1. Tunnels could be bored into rock I would imagine (a rather difficult feat to be sure), and there is an underwater mine (it starts off above water of course) IRL, though it doesn't extend too far.
  2. Excellent job masseditor, the landscaping of the swamp is really beautiful, great shaping on the ship too! Really like your stylish borders as well!
  3. @Hammerhand, well that was a bit biased methinks. Kaliphlin would be more like so: Common Foods: Ahem, well, we do like our Elephant feet - not ears observe - they really make quite delicate morsels. Most Popular Pastime: Studying (which admittedly involves a deal of talking). We're also partial to elephant hunting. Sightseeing Atractions: Ah, now you're talking! Sand - bah! An occasional oaisis? That's all the outsiders know, but if you've taken the Tour of Kaliphlin, you'd know how much more there really is... Climate: Hot in the main, true, but there are plenty of cool spots- along the coast, up the mountains, in the swamps and forests... And our Main Export: (Yes, we dabble in glass,) Intelligent scholars from our famed Petraea University!
  4. Very good work, especially with the head but also with the bow. The gold accents also work really well, great job!
  5. Category A: 2 - 1 point 9 - 1 point 16 - 1 point 17 - 1 point Category B: 1 - 1 point 5 - 2 points 15 - 1 point
  6. Thanks SK! Yep, they're both from the PaB wall, I was originally thinking I wouldn't have much use for either, but they've both really come in handy (I have another build using the trans light blue in progress right now!). I'm glad you liked my rounded wall technique; I was very happy with it myself as it allows me to build a small enough tower to stay within my piece count! Thanks for the thoughtful criticism Gabe. Now that I think about it, you're right about the black rampart, it ought to have been more colorful. Thanks for the credits! I knew I was pushing a little with the waves, especially given the angles of the pictures where they're hard to see unless you're looking for them. I'm working on another water scene now, maybe I'll see if I can pull off something a bit more dramatic!
  7. I've found these three Cotton entries: the Utility Belt's, robuko's, and Masa's. Pipe up if I've missed any please!
  8. They are, especially if you split the price and give the more friends-y stuff to someone interested in it.
  9. Thanks guys! No, they dream because they've eaten 'em. Can't trust those Nocturnian vendors. Kaliphlin runs a Doctorate of Historica program under the auspices of Petraea University, the +1 refers to approval of certain credits that I have claimed for this particular MOC. Only Kaliphlin guild members are allowed to approve MOCs, but any GoHer can participate in the program.
  10. Good job on the ship, the details and minifig poses add a lot to it! +1 credit for the windows. No limit (unless it's for a contest that specifies it's on limit) though obviously within reason.
  11. I'd like to claim wall technique #2, round walls and towers, waves, and art for my A Child's Dream build.
  12. While Mitgardian children dream of warmth and nice blazing fires (due to the absence thereof in the ordinary course of their lives), this is what Kaliphlinian children are dreaming of: The doorway to the castle: Aerial view, so you can get a better sense of the waves & how the water looks: I'd like to claim PU DoH credits for wall technique #2 (for the SNOT sides), round walls and towers, waves, and art (might be stretching it a little with art but I'm not sure exactly how to interpret it, otherwise). It would have been considerably better if I had managed to make conical tops for the towers, but that proved too difficult with the limited amount of time I had! C&C are welcome though, and thanks for taking the time to check it out!
  13. Right, you only need a credit once. So it doesn't make sense to apply twice, since that's kind of needlessly overworking the graders (not much, but it could add up - in theory). And if you're doing it because you think it might be rejected on one MOC you probably just shouldn't claim it for that one. By the way, as long as you're not double posting (which in general should be kept to a minimum), don't just edit a previous post with claimed credits; the idea is to alert us to the claim, and we don't get notified if you just edit a post.
  14. It's nice tho see the interior of a castle like this, the wall looks really good behind the stables there. Good work on the figure posing as well. +1 UP credit!
  15. +1 for both those credits! I meant to comment on this anyway; like SK said, it's really neat how you made it open! Also like the dash of color the flags and green awning provide. Good work!
  16. Not really, especially with something like minifig posing which is not a hard credit to get. So far at least, we haven't been dividing the credits up like that, except in the exceptions I mentioned (like trees) in which case it's really three credits. If we give you minifig posing we're giving it to you for the one build we post on, not for a combination of builds (unless there are several in the same topic). Hopefully that made sense and answered your question!
  17. It's not instantaneous. I'm sure there'll be a thread up in a few days; if not, sooner or later.
  18. +1 credit for trees and also life in Migardia... because of course life in Mitgardia is nothing more than barracks training... (Just kidding; they play with friends sets once in a while too. )
  19. You'll soon get a feel for how strong we're looking for. Also, you claimed minifig posing twice; all you need is one for most credits unless otherwise specified. (Landscape: trees, for example, is 1/3, but they all have to be different techniques.) And it's perfectly fine to use any build as long as it has been posted in the GoH forum, even if it doesn't relate to your story/was not built exclusively for GoH.
  20. Good work with the irregular base, it turned out really nice! Got some good minifigure combos there as well! I'll give you credit for tribal scene, minifig posing, and caravan. However, since the base is mostly rock, I can't really see giving credit for desert. Also, it would be nice if you edited your post with the credits you want.
  21. Whoever wants the gold breaks the rules, eh?
  22. Or with the rest of you. It nice to know there are some compassionate GoHers. Actually, this is fitting right in with our theme lately... wood to the Mitgardians, cotton to the Avalonians...
  23. Interesting too how many Kaliphlininans chose dG's side.
  24. We're really getting funny with these cotton MOCs!
  25. Definitely mich less stressful. I can speak for the stress on this end of the line. Particularly since Garmadon timed it exactly right with a couple of finals yesterday.
