  1. Really nice layout here with the smaller buildings and then that giant workshop full of steampunk goodness! I love the addition of a garden here too, it brings it all to life.
  2. So cool to see this all like this! I am amazed by how much I love the orange roofs--such great splashes of color. Really works with the brightness of the landscaping and all the lime green. Just the sort of bustling, high energy MOC that's perfect for a con, wish I could have seen it in person.
  3. Whoa, somebody sound the alarm! Have we found the original bull in a china shop?! Really nice furniture in here, nice to see a rounded base too--clever way to get the Kaliphlin colors in there!
  4. Another build using these glorious tiles... I certainly need some! Really neat idea too, I wish I had learned history in a sandbox while someone sang to me
  5. That floor is fantastic! I don't know why, but the tiny extra gaps between the tiles really delight me. The angled corner is also a nice touch, making the whole room very interesting.
  6. I love that carpet! Those are some great tiles that you used for the border, I need to get some! For the photography, if you're looking to improve, one thing you can do is go for a less 2D angle--a little off to the right or left, and a touch lower down so we feel like we're more on the minifigures' level, would help us see the MOC more the way we'd see it if we were look at it in real life.
  7. Really nice design on the bow here! Good proportions on the figures though the heads feel a touch blocky, but this is a tricky scale to work with for sure!
  8. That door looks like such a pain to open and shut! Great build, I love the horn cabinet and the subtle floor design is excellent.
  9. This is very cool, particularly the rounded levels of amphitheater--I love the shot with all the minifigures, but I'm so glad you showed us the WIP shot too because otherwise I would hardly have known they were standing on a quarter circle! A lot of the details around back are really fun too and make this feel like a real place. Great stuff.
  10. The bottom part of this build is so polished--I love that circle on the floor, and those arches are gorgeous, as is that lush dark red vine. The rush shows up top, particularly with the very flat top of the wall. But overall an elegant build.
  11. Really sweet little build, fun twist on the challenge making this the bard's getaway spot, lovely snow on the landscape too. I never have loved log bricks for walls, it kind of looks like the house is built of vertical logs which is like no house I've ever seen. You could try laying them sideways sometime! On the other hand, I really like the stonework at the base.
  12. It was quite a surprise to scroll down and find that this has an exterior side too! That's really nice, allows us to get an even better view of that beautiful wood paneling. It does look a little pixelated (because of the roof) and 2D, but that sort of gives it its own flair so that might even be a good thing. And the row of shields inside is spectacular, very Mitgardian.
  13. The stained glass here is simply beautiful! Very nice colors. Nice choice to make one wall white as well, that really helps balance the scene.
  14. Really nice solid little inn. I like the simplicity that allows the details to pop out at us, like the rafters under the roof.
  15. I love the two angles you've got going on the roof here, looks great with the snow on the lower half. Nice bustling interior!
  16. I love the whimsical feel of those houses perched atop the bridge and then the walkway over it all. Feels very lively and very Varlyrian.
  17. This is a cute little build, I like how you used tan for wood that's been worked with and brown for the rest. Looks like Theodor might need to do some roof repair soon though!
  18. This is super cool, like I mentioned on Flickr, the textures are simply amazing! I really love how complete it looks, it's easy to believe that if I turned around the rest of the city would be back there. Great low angle for the main shot to help sell the feeling that we're actually in this MOC. Good to see you building again!
  19. Great to see this finished off, really nice choice of colors to complement the house and each other. It's a really warm, peaceful scene with enough activity going on to make it interesting. Fun stuff.
  20. I'll jump in here and show my face. First off, welcome to Grover as a new member of the leadership team, it's great to have your enthusiasm and love for the guilds! For myself, I have not been able to take a leading role as a guild leader in the past year, but I'm definitely here to support Book IV. I joined the guilds about 14 years ago ( ) for the challenges, stayed for the great constructive criticism, and have been trying to give back as a guild leader for probably 3 or so years now. Eager to hear everyone's thoughts so we can make more informed choices moving forward.
  21. That pink salt bog (or whatever it's called) looks fantastic. Really neat idea for a build.
  22. Sweet, I'm glad we don't have to hack our way around it anymore
  23. I love the dark brown tracks left by the wagon, that's a really great detail. These kind of WIP builds are always fun, and yours is so full of activity with all the animals running around, makes for an entertaining build!
  24. The best I can suggest is to copy it from an old post (you can't straight up copy and paste, but you could jump into the editor or quote it and copy from there), but I suspect that will break the code... let's see: Edit: Whatdya know, it worked! What I did was quote the spoiler into a reply in one of your threads, and then I dragged it out of the quote box and from there copied it into this comment (bracketed with filler text as it's easier to grab that way). I would expect it also to work if you edited your own post and grabbed it from there.
  25. The stained glass windows are lovely! Must have been a pain to do digitally though!
