  1. Great work, Is the design based on Byzantine Orthodox church?
  2. Another view of Brent Waller's Ghostbusters project.
  3. Is Quinjet now discontinued? Most online retailers I shop at, don't have it anymore.
  4. Brett Waller is a modern day Lego-building genius. This is his 30th Anniversary Ghostbusters set on CuuSoo -- if you don't vote for it, you're a Communist!
  5. Seems 10188 and 10212 survive for another year edit: oops didn't realize 10212 is discontinued.
  6. Jabba's Palace. - unbelievable minifigs (3 newly designed) - great build & snot-work. - accurate, efficient depiction of original
  7. Isn't is suppose to be minifig scale? If so, I think the scale on the close-up shots of R2 in the X-wing are "more incorrect". In the video clip, the designer of the new UCS X-Wing noted that there were some discrepancies in the model they used in the film. Maybe the way R2 was depicted is what he's talking about.
  8. Well, to be honest i was expecting a bigger meltdown. You let me down, Eurobricks. (I think it's a beautiful model)
  9. Artic Batman suit is "inspired" by antarctic Nite Owl from the second last chapter of Watchmen.
  10. Cosmic Cube Escape -- boring model, nice minifigs but all available in other sets. Quinjet - outstanding set. Chopper Showdown -- see CCE except all minifigs were exclusive. Spidercycle - not based on a movie.
  11. A lack of faith in the drawing potential of the film .....maybe. While IM3 is will certainly not reach the blockbuster status of DKR, it probably deserved better. I'm guessing TLG is going for a quantity over quality approach with respect to the Marvel films. I have to say, though, every Marvel set based on a film, with exception of Quinjet, has been underwhelming.
  12. A chick at my gym works at TRU in Oz. Maybe i'll ask her to confirm.
  13. Cant wait to make Supes kneel before Zod!
  14. On a related note, has anybody MOC'd the grave so the bride fits into it. I would like to know what the best way to achieve this.
  15. Haha... too late TLG you've already spoiled the film! Zack says "eff you very much!".
  16. Star Wars Holiday Special. Bea Arthur minifig exclusive!
  17. The lego thread on neogaf. Since a few of those guys post here, maybe they can clear it up.
  18. Not so much hate, just a lack of credibility they were an integral part in overthrowing the Galactic Empire. It would be analogous to an Amazon tribe defeating the US Army in a military conflict.
  19. Cant wait for this, especially if the rumors that it will incorporate parts of the trench run are true. Oh yes, the ensuing meltdown in this forum is going to be glorious too.
  20. Well, as has been stated throughout his thread, it seems TLG has driven the stake through the Monster Fighters theme. But there is a possibility it may rise from the dead again around Halloween as a one-off set probably as another polybag.
  21. Not sure whether it really makes a difference from a Lego perspective as the Marvel license transcends who has the cinema rights. (The exception to this is that TLG may be prohibited from making sets directly based on scenes from Fox films or vehicles specifically designed for the films).
  22. Fair point. But i'm more inclined to reject SM on the basis that - it is more of a theme builder, which Cuusoo has not accepted yet. - I don't believe the market can support 3 distinct space themes - It looks like it uses specialized molds, specifically the two-headed serpentine alien and the four legged Ugokin
  23. Really? The current Imperial Shuttle is one of the best (if not the best) non-playset SW models.
