LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
Another Brick In The Wall replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm sure we won't see the influence of Disney in Star Wars Lego sets for a while yet. -

I wish I had 1/5 of your talent. This model highlights the flaws of the UCS Falcon -- its non-exstant interiors. -

Wow, thanks for the comprehensive response. I'll think I'll take a stab at it, if for now other reason that I hate the current Y-Wing design with a passion. I don't think so. 7191 was minifig scale, i think. -

Thierry Henry minifig! -
Can't wait to see how TLG tackles F4 -- Mr Fantastic - Very tricky minifig to get right. Something like this I guess....maybe with longer arms. Or this. The Thing -- a Hulk sized mould would make sense. Sue Storm/ Invisible Girl -- this but in clear non-tinted finish. Johnny Storm/ The Human Torch: Something like Venom except with flames instead of tentacles?

I support this license provided it doesn't interfere with marshal_banana's Western Modular CUUSOO project, which is seemingly taking an eternity to be decided on.
-
Unbelievable work!

On a related note, has TLG given any indication when Fire Brigade will be retired (assuming it is next in-line)?

Aquaman breaking out of the ice looks fantastic. Has that effect been done before in a Lego set? -
New Licensed Theme Rumor Mill
Another Brick In The Wall replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
1st Gen and all....i'm sure they'll look better when their designs are updated. I feel the Turtle heads need to be bigger. I'm sure If they sell well TLG may consider updating their torso too (the standard doesn't abide well for me when it's applied to non-human minifigs) On another topic, TLG is set to make an announcement on the "Back to the Future" license soon (with the results of the CUUSOO DeLorean project due any day now). How does anybody feel about this particular license? -
I dont disagree with anything in your post except the issue at hand is what the next UCS model is likely to be, not whether TLG will faithfully reproduce mb_bricks' masterpiece. The Sandcrawler is iconic and the orginal model was extremely popular.
-
Successful CUUSOO projects can be and have been modified by TLG.
-
So what is everybody' s top predictions for the next UCS model? Mine's 1. Sandcrawler (the CUUSOO project is certain to exceed 10k) 2. Jabba's Sail Barge 3. AT-AT

Thanks for your response Mr Man. Wasn't implying that 10178 was UCS but my wording may have been confusing.
-
Is it possible to attach the head/cockpit section of 10178 to 8129's body? I ask this question because I think the cockpit of 8129 is its most unforgivable feature, specifically the fact it only has room for one pilot. Also what is the likelihood of a true UCS model without the motorization in the future?

How much notice does TLG generally give before it discontinues a set? I'm worried that 10188 will be discontinued before I get my act together to buy it and then I'll be facing UCS Falcon prices. -

Congrats on 7K!!! This project is getting closer and closer to becoming a reality (although I'm much more in love with your other CUUSOO project). -

One head should be Luke's head, in order to recreate the Dagobah cave scene. Has the price for this fig always been around 45 USD? -
New York Toy Fair Coverage Part Eight: Star Wars
Another Brick In The Wall replied to Aanchir's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah, my bad. Didn't see it there, tucked away in the corner. (My natural inclination was to search for it on Jabba's left). -

Don't get me wrong the minifigs in this set are most welcome. I actually suspect that a near future release may include some sort of extension, perhaps an updated Jabba's Prize (since the mould is likely to exist from the recent Slave 1 model) something including the Max Rebo Band ( Sy Snootles minifig, anyone?) or a new Rancor Set. -

Jabba's Palace seems like a strange set because it is relatively small yet it comes with a disproportionately large amount of minifigs . I guess the inflated price is a reflection of all the new minifigs. I would have actually preferred if TLG had forgone the tower in favor of a larger interior.
