The judges have written some clarification of the rules for build tagging. For each tag we've laid out specifically which jobs, equipment and techs it will give you a bonus for. If you do not correctly include the tag exactly as it is below, you won't get the bonus. Rules for tags: At the very start of your post, please post the location and tags for your build, exactly like this example: Location: E01 Tags: Military, Vehicle, Airplane Please don't include any tags that aren't on the list below. That includes things like 'piloting', 'research' or 'ground vehicle'. In the past the judges have been kind and translated these to the correct tags (which would be Spaceship, Science, and Land Vehicle in this case), but they may not in future. It only takes a minute to check this list for the correct tags, so please do so or you risk losing out on bonuses. In the actual post's tags (i.e. the ones that show up underneath the post title on the main forum page) you can put whatever you like. When deciding whether a tag should count, the judges will consider how well it fits the descriptions below, how much effort went into depicting it, and how big a part it plays in your build. Military (Activates Spoil of war tech, Battlefield research tech with Building) Build something military, like a battle scene, a fortified building or a vehicle with weapons. Civil (Activates Awesomnium foundry tech with Building) Build something non-military to do with your corporation's civilisation, like a building or park. Building (Activates Engineer job, Battlefield research tech with Military, Awesomnium foundry tech with Civil) Build a building. Interiors and spaceship interiors can also count as buildings as long as they have at least one wall. This activates the Engineer job. Vehicle (Activates Awesomnium alloy tech, Structural reinforcement tech) Build any vehicle. If either or both of the two tags below apply, so does this one. However, you must include it to activate its tech bonuses, eg. tagging your build with just Submarine will not activate Awesomnium alloy tech. Spaceship or Airplane or Submarine (Activates Pilot job, Spaceship mastery tech) Build a spaceship, airplane or submarine. Land Vehicle or Water vehicle (Activates Driver job, Ground tactics tech) Build a vehicle that goes on the surface of land or water. Hovercraft/skimmers and underground tunneling vehicles also belong in this category. Spying (Activates Special Force job, Spying outfit equipment, Stealth mode equipment, Spying school tech) Your build must show your character gathering information about another faction, hacking their computers, or sabotaging their equipment. Piracy (Activates Special Force job, Black Pearl equipment, Piracy tech) Your build must show your character stealing objects or resources from another faction. Exploration (Activates Explorer job, Speaking violet backpack equipment, Naturalist's training tech) Your build must show your character encountering flora, fauna or an alien first encounter. Science (Activates Scientist job) Your build must show your character conducting experiments or research.

The corporations don't have to do anything differently for now other than decide where to move their fleets each week. One possible use of the corporation fleets is to counter the effects of the randomly moving alien fleets. Of course, players may also wish to include the alien invasion in their storylines

Location: A08 Tags: Science, Vehicle, Land Vehicle So all you need to do is head towards any signs of life. Smaller creatures can be collected by the arms and brought aboard for study. If you come any plants or larger creatures, just drive straight into them. The M.A.N.T.I.S. Death RollerTM will cut them up and send the pieces through the scanning bed where they’ll be automatically analysed. And if we come across any Kawas, sir? Well, we had to cut some corners building this thing. It’s entirely possible that the brakes could fail and lead to a ‘tragic’ ‘accident’. Understand? Heh heh heh, yes sir! Sir, I’m picking up a small life form nearby. Excellent, let’s go get it. Got it! Good. Bring it into the containment area. It doesn’t look particularly promising. No. But it’s clearly an infant. Run the life cycle simulator to see what it’ll look like fully grown. Simulating… I don’t think this is what we’re looking for sir. It doesn’t seem to be dangerous at all. But it is giving off an intense low frequency sound wave. Maybe a distress call? Maybe. But I hardly think we need to worry if more show up, they’re clearly harmless. Well, as I was wondering around the ship, lost in my thoughts I came across a sign up sheet on a noticeboard. It was recruiting people used to high risk situations into a new corps of specially trained M.A.N.T.I.S. scientists, and said pilots were particularly sought after. The deadline was that very day, so I signed up there and then. I thought that if I became a scientist with a steady job Rex would think about settling down. How long was the training? Two years. As soon as it was done I caught a ride on the first cargo ship headed out to where Rex was stationed. There was only just room for me and another woman who wanted a lift. She didn't say a thing to me for the whole journey. And then? We got there and Rex was out on a mission, so I sat in the hangar and waited for him. And?? He never came back. Location: D04 Tags: Science Yeah, I’m just experimenting with this new scanner technology. It’s good to get out of the office and actually do some science. I don’t know, I guess I didn’t realise how much paperwork was involved in being CEO. Less than you’d think. I don’t even have the key to the Executive Bathroom! Right? Apparently Lady K never gave hers back and there aren’t any spares. I’m sure I saw Dave Daring coming out of there the other day though… Shhhh! No, I thought I heard something. Probably nothing. So how's the wife? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! ---- Only had time for a very quick one this week!

It was against the rules for any squad mates to be romantically involved, obviously, so we had to meet in the power core of our carrier ship, where there was way too much interference for any cameras to work. It was all going fine until one time I brought up the subject of our future together. What happened? He didn't think we had one. Said we were bomber pilots and one or both of us would bite it soon enough that there wasn't any point planning for the future. Said we were both too blind to risk to even think about raising kids, or anything like that. Ouch. Yeah, I got upset and ran off. But looking back, he was right: we just didn't think about risks back then. I mean, there were danger signs all over the entrance to the power core, but we went in there without a second thought. I’m- Honoured, yes. But make no mistake, your primary role is still to continue work on Project Lambda. Do not allow your new title to go to your head. All decisions you make as CEO will be subject to review before execution. Who- The Council does not have time for such matters. Your decisions will be reviewed by Chief Accountant Long. WHAT?
