To be quite honest, although I still see a noticable difference from only months before, I still feel like Eurobricks is the same groups that it was from the very beginning. To me, it was just a small, humble group of Lego fans whom shared their passion of the hobby with each other. If you look at it that way, nothing much has really changed. We still continue to have lots of randomness within each thread. We're still very open and friendly to others. It's like the only reason why I'm here. I'm not afraid to post here. I won't have responses like "This topic isnn't allowed, close it plzzz!!!" to topics that I start. I just love how it is now. I mean we're still very carefree, it's just we now have the monthly beating of some prick who shows up, like dark1. Other than it's all chills, man...

All of these look plain out amazing. The racers sets look incredible! As for Bionicle, we're seeing alot more TRANS-CLEAR PARTS! Booya! The masks are quite a separation, but overall, not bad. They look ready for rough conditions, which is exactly what I expect. However, my only gripe is that Matoro's mask look like a giant Krana.

I just hit the motherload. Check out's EARL's brickshelf. :oD New sets in packaging! http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=163956

Ooh! Me like! Though it resembles more of a turret than a speeder, I'll definately be picking up this set. Though it's mostly because I want the hair. :)

I got to admit, this is pretty cool, but I wished they had a new head mold for the main leader. Being just a re-paint seems to be a bit tacky, but at least the mechs are still rocking!

Definately like "Gun Bunny 2". It's a fun game, but it's pretty darn tough. The second level is almost impossible for me, as I can't shoot AND move the gun at the same time. I have to aim, fire, then stop firing to aim somewhere else. Similarily, it gets really, really slow when you try to move about. But then again, nothing beats pumping enemies with hot plasma. :D

http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=2429c01 Well, the hinges tend to get a bit weak after alot of use. I was just wondering if any of you have developed a way to tighten it, without having to order a new one from Lego.

That fire ant is amazing! I mean I literally dropped my jaw when I say that! It looks so simple, yet it's so complex! Fantastic! Please do make more! We do would ever so much appreciate looking at future bugs. They're magnifique! I like the Centipede too, but I don't really want to comment on it. Centipedes gives me the heevy-geevies. I hope you understand. :(

Well, just wanted to say hi to everyone again. I kinda left for a few weeks and just mainly checked out the main page for Lego news. I came back to check out your reactions on the new Batman minifigs and I soon arrive to a new, extremely different (And with more weird/annoying posts) Eurobricks. Well, guess I'll have to get used to it! PS: By the way, I saw another member make a "I came back" topic, so I thought it was ok. If it isn't please close this thread and nuke it from existance. Thank yous! :P

Don't be sorry, be QUIET!!!! :| Just ignore him. If we don't give him any attention, he'll shrivel up and turn into dust. Anyhoo, this mech REALLY reminds me of Atakasuki (Spelling is wrong) from Gundam Seed Destiny. I'm not really liking the new construction though. It seems they focused only on articulation and failed to notice it kinda looks like a monkey. :oD

Man, there was an award ceremony for this a year back. One of my favorites was a smoke detector that had a label saying

Did you even read my post? Here, let me clarify. I'm not against complex storylines. I'm against storylines that make too much of something out of nothing. Let's look at the Metru-Nui saga, shall we? We got the comics and the websodes, the regular places where we get out info. Then came the books and encyclopedias. Ok, I'm fine with this, but do we really need to know EACH INDIVIDUAL VARIATION OF A CRAB? Ok, interesting, yes. Great for Dungeons and Dragons. But complex? No. That's not complex. That's just being obsessive on details. You see, there's good complex and bad complex. Good complex (to me anyways) is makiong a storyline with ACTUAL plot twists. Like having the Toa Nuva against the Piraka. They're fighting a force when the people they're trying to protect loves the enemy far more then them. THAT'S a good twist. What's a bad twist? Repeating the same thing they've been doing over and over again. New saga? New Toa! New Molds and "articulation" for everyone! Course, the new Toa sell like crazy. Lego is happy. Kids are happy. But it's not a plot twist. That's not a deep turn. Heck, that isn't even a deep turn. That's just greed working it's magic. People like money. It's nature. So when New Toa = Money, the story can go right out the window, because all we want are greenbacks. I mean they could have gone with the Original 6, but they wouldn't be able to produce more sets. With new Toa? They get more cash. I'm not critising human nature here. In fact, I quite like it. But seriously, they've come so far. Why waste a good storyline now? Also, I don't care what the couple hundred thousand members at BZP say. Just because the general populus is against what I say doesn't mean I'm going to just change my opinion. I'm not fickle. Period. @Gylman Heck no. Bionicle gone would have some pretty tough losses for Lego. Last thing I want to see is Lego bow down to Megabloks. Bionicle can live on for all I care, but it doesn't mean I have to like it. I'm just one kid. Just because I don't like it doesn't mean that they should just scrap it. I'll just do what I usually do with lines I don't like. Ignore it. Simplest answer there is.

Guess he hasn't got the talk yet. Well, I'm not going to spoil the surprise for him! On a side note, the dude asked a truly innocent question. Come on! Don't just slam the guy if he hasn't been exposed to the other side! What happened to innocence of children? :|

Not only that, kimt, look at that attention to detail! Wowsers! :oD I would have loved this when I was little, I just know it. The attention to detail is just beyond phenominal. I just love how the airport is basically a normal sized one, but shrunk down to just have one of everything. Just spectacular. Absoltely stunning. :) Thanks for another great review with great pics, Yoda!

Really? I thought it was a clickets piece. Kinda looks like an egg, y'know? Anyways, the colour scheme for the figs is right on the money! Except for the Dracus minifig. He look like he's more gold than the beaten-up silver of his Maxifig counterpart.

Don't forget, humor is always welcomed! Well, I think. :-D Anyhoo, welcome onto these boards! It's real swell to see more faces around and about! :)

Firstly, I have NOTHING against the matoran who are listed as Toa. I always enjoyed their adventures because it truly showed that you don't have to be a Toa to be a hero. You didn't have to be some elemental sorcerer to save the day. They just used what they had and went a long way. Now? They've been turned into Toa. Now, how you think this will go over for the little people who have NEVER had powers before. There's a chance that they could be naturals at using powers, but what if they're not? Then we get a bunch of kids in overgrown bodies slinging lava and ice everywhere. Not to mention a comic completely dedicated to their training. It's like the same issue I had with Takanuva. He's great being a little dude, but as a Toa? That just completely takes away from his original achievents. I miss those little dudes waddling around all over the island. Secondly, why am I so infuriated? When Bionicle first came out, the Toa were really special. To me, they werre like Demi-Gods sent to right a wrong. I originally thought that there were only a certain amount of Toa, as they were a species, not a phase you go through. I mean you fall out of the friggin' sky. That's what made it special. But now? Oh, you don't have to fall out of the sky. You just have to find a "Toa stone" and you're a Toa. Also, the original 6 still have wonderful possibilities. Think about it. At the end of the Nuva saga, Takanuva stole the spotlight (not because he was a phenominal character, but because they shafted all the Toa Nuva). Did we ever have a chance to see Lewa become more mature? Did we really get to see them use their REAL powers that were only hinted at? No. We didn't. For me, 2006 was a key year in which they could really show the Toa Nuva for who they really were. It would have been a great contrast to the first saga. They got better powers, no sissy is going to steal their powers, and they're up against a foe that's unstoppable. And they're trying to protect a world that loves the Piraka far more then them. This time around, there were no boundries. Just a full on brawl to fight for what was right. A fight to show who they really were. A fight to end all battles. Because they're Toa. It's what they do. Instead, 2006 looks bleak. The sets may be good, but the story may lack. Lord forbid this is right, but here's how it looks like at this point. Toa Nuva vs. Piraka. Piraka beats Toa Nuva within inches of their lives. Matoran go out to find Toa stones. Matoran turn into Toa. Toa Nuva turn into Turaga. New Toa beat the living daylights out of Piraka. Makuta or similar evil entity shows up. New Toa gets beaten up. Order of Mata-Nui hold down Makuta. Jala/Jaller beats the heck out of the evil entity with conviently placed plot device. Thirdly, I NEVER said anything about them changing the timeline. I'm saying that they're adding on to the past (Which includes several dozen Toa) without disrupting stuff they're written before. Anyways, that's just my opinion. Feel free to agree or disagree. I know I might change my mind like I did with ExoForce. Who knows. Only time will tell, but this is my current mood.

Bloody hell. Bloody megablocking hell. Why in the name of megablocks did they do this? I mean I actually thought that we would get a decent storyline that returned back to the roots, but instead, we get mass retconning. Holy tartar sauce. WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING LEGO? Now, it seems like Bionicle isn't driven by a good storyline anymore, but ather by how many rehashed Toa they can sell. Everything I stood for in the past seems to have fallen. My entire Lego Technic life has bloody megablocking lie. [insert Darth Vader's no here.] PS: Sorry for being so angry. It's just... This news REALLY ticks me off. They took a brilliant simple storyline and turned it into a terribly mashed together, overly intricate and uselessly complex story line. I'm not saying making it complex isn't bad. I'm saying re-writing Bionicle from some 2 year event into some saga that spands over several millenia and focussing on each little nook and crany (They have names for every single rahi that ever existed) is bad.

Well, I haven't been caight up lately with my Bionicle and I just checked BZ-Power for news on the upcoming saga. I've been seeing alot of references to "New Toa". Is this true? Are there actually going to be more Toa? Because to be quite honest, I can't take it anymore. The position of "Toa" seems like it's been vomited on, beaten and left out the street to die. In the beginning of the Saga, there were 6. Six. Nothing more. Then when they introduced that horrid "Takanuva", they've been just pumping out these new Toa like MAD. So, there's my question. Are they really making (And/or transforming matoran into) MORE Toa?

I can't believe it! This place is exploding with new members! Fantastic! I'm ever so proud to be member 277 now. :D Speaking of which, we gained like 50 something members within December alone! If we keep this up, who knows what we'll achieve! (I'm betting on world domination, but that's just me ;) )

I think he's still the guardian. The storyline goes that he guarded the heart of the shield. I don't uite remember, but there was SOME mention about some "Shield of ages" somewhere on the cards. I don't quite remember, but I think that's what it is. I think the Guardian is forging the shield of the Ages, or something like that. Another whacky and screwy theory by yours truly. ;)

Oy. I'm really not going head over heels for this one. I don't think I'll get the set, but that is one spectacular calender. Thanks for the scans, Legomilk!

Not to mention they priced Masterpiece Optimus Prime for an ungodly sum of money when the news of it was released. Same went for the Transformers Superlink series too. They like to price things really, really high and see what kinda suckers they reel in. Too bad I was one of them. :( I just couldn't resist getting Wheeljack (Superlink/Energon)!
-
I'm not so suspicious about the price, as it's probabally unintentional. I think it's more about how there kinda needs to be a "techinic" set to accompany the "System" sets. I'm really interested in the Vezon and Fenrakk set. I'm hoping for a Rahi set like back in the day, but it's most likely that these are more of those "Order of Mata-Nui" sets. :'(
