Bioncile Piecies that integrate with SYSTEM
KMOI replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Ungh, you kinda picked a weak spot for using Bionicle pieces. I'd try to suggest the use of the Bionicle arm piece, but even then it's a stretch. You see, Bionicle's components are meant to be more technologically inclined. You don't have many futuristic components in old-fashon sets such as the Pirates or Castle. However, I could easily see the use of Bionicle pieces being used in more futuristic sets such as Star Wars, where the mechanical pieces would be amazing for making cranes and what not. But even then, Bionicle pieces are best suited for Technic creations, rather than Lego System. -
You know what? There are alot of morons out there. This case is not one of them. Obsession of a fandom is one thing, but this is clearly not. Gali is an english simplification of many different words. It may be a Maori name, a Israeli name, or just a unique name. Yes, this qualifies as unique. All of the ones you listed would be considered "un-common". "Why, I am shocked by that! Why must someone break conformity? The world will implode! Civilization and humanity will crumble at the footsteps of these anomalies! Burn all that is non-confomant!" If that were the case, I'd be a sauteed child by now. So what if no ones has named their kid "Gali" before? So what? Is it so wrong that there just happens to be a Lego set named "Gali"? My name is used for a bank for crying out loud! It's the parent's decision and just because it doesn't align itself with your view doesn't mean it's some "American family with low-income"! The only sad and pathetic thing here is how you brand them like this just because of this. Ok, I can understand how you don't get it. Fine. Just know this isn't that extreme. Go and call the person who legally changed his name to "Optimus Prime" an "American family with low-income". That's a true case of fandom gone overboard. Oh and on another note, yes. Yes, I am angry that someone is branding an entire family just because of one bloody post. I am angered by how Wolf decided to call them an "American-family with a low income". You know, that American family works damn hard to try to get themselves out of that ditch. I respect that. They don't have the oppertunity like we do, but bloody hell, they work damn hard to try to get themselves out. My stance is that you don't mock hard work. I don't give a hoot if you're getting a friggin masters degree. Even the wealthiest man will tell you, hard work is not to be mocked. Mocking determination is the worst thing in my books. And those fellows have the most imagination. They make the best out of what they have and heck, that's alot of work. So before you associate the less fortunate as a type of insult, think. PS: I apologize to the administrators and fellow members for the profanity. This point had to be made. This is straight from my heart and to be honest, not one bit of this is in any way swayed by the opinion of others.

I keep on telling you people: Commander Cody is on Utapua with kenobi What the heck? Do you ever read my posts? READ FOR ONCE!
-
Well, yes, but I don't remember reading about BARC Troopers being in there. I thought it just involved Yoda, the two main wookes and a couple of Clones. I thought the BARC troopers were only seen when they shot at the Jedi.

What Series do you wish Lego never made
KMOI replied to V()()D()()'s topic in General LEGO Discussion
DINO Attack, because I think it's really not nessesary for them to make a line which is based on Minifigs attacking dinosaurs with huge rocket-missile hybrids. Heck, I don't even like the Dino part of it! We've already for the set to build a whole array of dinosaurs, so I really don't get why we have it. But mind you, I can never be so angry as to base my entire "carrer" here solely on bashing Dino Attack. It just isn't civilized. Personally, 4+ Pirates is VERY useful. Without it, we would never get those really funky chromed vaccum silver scimitars! Though is is kinda useless, at least they have some purpose. Also, younger fans can play with the same kind of stuff that there are for us. -
1.cody is on utapua with kenobi 2.cody dosnt have a shoulder pauldron For the luuva, ok then. Sure, he doesn't have a shoulder pauldron, but you have to imagine that that cape piece wasn't used Sandtrooper set and think that it is a SOLID shoulder piece. Besides, last time I checked, Cody does have different shoulder pads then other clone troopers, so it would be illogical to have no different shoulder recognition technique. Here's a reference image. Clone Wars And here's a pic of Commander Cody from the movie. See? He does have shoulder pads. And on another note, so what if he's not on Karrashak (Never could spell that...)? You don't see Mace Winde running around with the wookies! He's on the Coruscant resting up after the Separatists captured the Chancellor. Also, Lego just want to stick in these figures. If that's the way it has to be to get a Mace Windu or Commander Cody, then that's they way it' going to be. There's about a million things I can nit-pick about these sets, but I'm not complaining. They may have given us the wrong figures with sets, but it's Lego. I can constuct my own "Epic Conversation" scene between Cody an Kenobi using the parts from the Clone Juggernaut Tank.
-
Ok, I'll explain this out. Mind you, I'm not an encyclopedia of Star Wars knowledge, but I got this. Commander Cody is in the Clone Juggernaut Tank set. He doesn't look exactly like the Cody we will see in the theaters, but he will have a striking resemblance. He's the guy with the yellowey-orange markings and the shoulder armour. It wouldn't be Bly because Bly has the armoured skirt, and the minifig is not. The Clone in the Clone Walker is NOT Neyo, NOR is he a commander at all. He is a clone which sports the symbol of the commander or group he's in. You see, things have changed from the Clone Wars. They started out to have anynomus markings, which were similar all around. However, near the end, they began to have more individualized markings, like the red logo on the Clone Walker's pilot. Another example would be the Clone Pilots, which have a blueish uniform, signifying that they are trained for flying. Yet another example is how Bly's (Yellow) troopers all have yellow markings. It's kind of an identification thing.

I chose Star Wars. Although what we've been getting is great, I really think that they should have more of the sets way back, like the Jedi-Defence sets. Those were awesome. A perfect example woud be Mace versus Palpatine, with the infamous double-headed minifig for Palpatine as well as the part of the balcony, and Mace Windu with breaking windows. Now that would be a set I would buy! Also, I would gladly welcome a Lego Mini Naboo fleet with the Royal Cruiser (Episode 1) and three mini Naboo starfighters. This would be awesome to go with all the other minis. I also think they should also do a Lego Shop @ Home exclusive (NOT Brickmaster! I despise them for not noting Canada!) of the ARC Strike force from the Clone Wars series. Basically, it would be one Red ARC, with 2 blue ones (one with rocket launcher and the last with the gattling gun) and sum that up with 3 normal Clone Troopers. While my hopes are highly impossible, I can always dream. >-|

My Grievous set is supposed to arrive by Thursday, so you'll definately see them then. I can't wait!
-
The animation is good, but the voices are cringe-worthy, in my opinion. Well, that's my main complaint. The voice acting is bad, but you have to give them credit. One guy voices 3 Toa. Ya gotta give him mad props for that trick.
-
I'll confirm it! It's one of these combined with one of these and then you put two of these roung plates on either end. You need the round pegs, because without them, you can't make the legs move alot.
-
You see, I was thinking of the same thing too, but then I realized why it wouldn't work. 1) I don't own the set :P 2) It actually makes him look shorter, oddly enough. But you're right, they should have used those legs.

I am by far the worst Lego builder in the world. In the eyes of adult fans of lego such as yourselves, I would be considered a small fry. When it comes to Minifig modifications though, I tend to do a bit better. You see, when I saw the Grievous, I was like, "Great upper body! Now let's see the lower body!" Nontheless, I was dissappointed. However, it also gave me hope. As you know, GG's legs are attached by a bar. This inspired me to build this. Now after countless visualizations and a couple of modifications later, I give made this set of Grievous legs! Featuring 9 moving joints, this is my vision of what GG should have looked like. With these leg modifications, this has become the most flexable Lego minifig EVER! Anyhoo, the bad part is is that this set of legs are HUGE. They are about 1.5 inches/3.7 cm tall! Hence, in the photos you're about to see, they are more squated down, such that it becomes more in scale. Besides, this was the absolute smallest I could get. Oh and on another note, my GG is arriving by mail and you should see these badboys on GG's upperbody in a few days. ;) Meanwhile, enjoy these pics!

Well, this is slightly old news, but the upcoming Lego Movie has been featured on the official Star Wars site. The more important thing is how they now have a movie poster.

Great poll DJ! Anyways, I prefer to 2005 year of Bionicle. It's got more original designs and the colours really break away from the conformity of the 2004 sets. To be honest, the Toa Metru didn't really bring anything special in my opinion. Sure, they brought about new mask designs that were absolutely fantastic, but the designs looked horrid. Why in the world would they choose such colour combinations? Quite frankly, the Toa of 2001 looked awesome because they had difference in colours. Metrus looked like steel gliders. 2005 actually looks promising. I am not excited at all about the introduction of all the new Toa, but am really happy about all of the larger sets. It finally looks like they're taking a step in the right direction, though those minisets should really recycle themselves to create better Star Wars sets. No offence to Star Wars, I love them all, but we need a duel set between Palpatine and Mace.

Y'know, I was looking for the online Catalogue but I can't find it. It's the same pic, methinks. EDIT: Oh, found it. Apparently, it's not on the Canada side. Bummer. Anyhoo, how were you able to post a picture? When I tried, the board said I can't use tags.
-
Well, I just found this picture on the front of Rebelscum and it lists all of the characters in the ROTS Legos sets! Behold! It's pretty cool! They've even got Commander Cody! It the one with the Sandtrooper look and with two pistols. :-D Major kudos to Rebelscum for this pic Ok, since I can't use image tags for some reason, it's one of the first news items on the Rebelscum site, which is www.rebelscum.com

Man, I really hate to be the bringer of bad new but... (Massivo spoiler warnings) I won't spoil the ending, but I will say that that is actually a piece of fanart done by a fan. Yeah, it had me fooled too, but one of the main things that was made a-mention was that Anikan is at the Jedi-Temple when Mace and co. arrive to confront Sidious. Also, this scene also takes place at night, which makes it even freakier. I've said too much already. Bummer. Yeah, I've got the book. I'm up to that part right now, and it's pretty good so far. On a side note, it would be amazing to have a confrontational set. Mace, Sidious and Anikan on the balcony.

I was looking at the new Star Wars sets, hoping to find out that the sets shown at the New York Toy Fair were prototypes. However, much to my dismay, I found out that lightsabers are no longer coloured in vaccumized silver. This had me like so: :'( Why in their right mind would Lego do such a thing! I mean sure, now some figures have light-up lightsabers, but chrome-like paint on the lightsabers was the key! They're always striving for movie accuracy, yet they missed out on one of the key components. It's not nessesary to paint the minifigs with ethnic accurate colours. The street basketball set showed us that. However, when do you see ANY Jedi totting around a pastel coloured lightsaber? Although this is a huge issue for me, does this bother anyone else? And does anyone know how to "vaccumize" paint? :P

It saids in this dusty note here. See? It saids "...in the dark secluded alley..." :-D Anyways, nice find! I've seen the Final Duel set and all of the other ones at my local Zellers. Kind of nice really. They have a 50% on all Star Wars stuff and that means (because of the goof-up) the Final Duelis 50% off! Quite a score, but I can't cough up that kind of money. I'm still working on it though! Unfortuntely I'm not a AFOL. I'm just some kid. It's pretty hard to earn money, but my parents pay me if I do some work for them. I'll post pics here when I get the set though! Well, now that I've unintentionally hijacked this topic, I'm going to un-hijack it. Is that Droid really sticking out? It kinda looks like it from what I see there.
