The image surgeon is here! And because it's that time of year again, this operation is for free. :-D That and the fact that my country has free medicare. But we get uber-high taxes, which is why I will *never* again import anything from Asia again. |-/ As you can tell, my Gundam habit is really suffering. Well aside from my little rant, I actually do have something to say. It's quite a nice set considering the price tag. I really love the Mechs, because they're like mini-versions of all the larger mechs. I really would buy it if I had more time on my hands, because that hair could make some serious Kingdom Hearts Minifigs. And that set looks plain awesome. I love those mechs. The gate is ok, but I tell ya, it's the figs and the mechs that make this set. However, because I feel that competitive spirit coming on, I feel an urge to finish off my own personal minifig "hardsuit" (Not coming to a store near you). Thanks for the pics and the time! This is a definate pick-up for all kids this Christmas. Anyhoo, here are the pics with their original titles: "It comes with two humans, and three robots" "First is the human mech" "Next is the droid mech!" (The one he likes. ^_^) "The third and final vehicle is the "tank"" "Finally comes THE GATE" (NOTE: I only resized the main pic. I'm short on time here, because the sleep beckons me) "Hidden in the back is the larger missile launcher" "And finally, a group picture!"

It really reminds me of ApophisV's AT-AT model before it took a little leap off his drawers. Guess cats do have more than nine lives. :P

I feel exactly the same way. I really do miss those cute little dudes running around. Especially when Takua formed his "fellowship" and headed off to Kini-Nui. Those cutscenes were pure GOLD. I'l also never forget those comical Le-koro Tohunga jumping from tree to tree in the Bohrok saga. Also, I really missed when the episodes had a point. Now, these episodes that we're given truly consists of less then half of Bionicle's original glory. Also, it really showed that these dudes were capapble of everything. Remember the boxor? That thing packed some serious punch. :oD And backpack, maybe that's a bit ambitous. It's kinda hard to turn all of the Bionicle sagas into one game. *wacko*

Well, I'm really starting to really get into these boards (again) after building more and more Lego Creations. I just wanted to know if I could post more, since I find that I have alot of things to say about many topics here. I find myself canning my own feelings so that I don't appear like a total idiot. Afterall, last thing I want is to be misinterpetated as someone who's posting millions of useless messages.

MattZitron, you didn't miss much. Superman looked ok. Nothing really mind-blowing, because the trailer never revealed much. Aredhel, I agree with you. When I was reading, I really enjoyed that scene, because it was dark. In the movie, they really did Cedric a disservice. It took me a good 3 minutes to realize that he was dead. :'( But back on topic. :-D Everything is very accurate, however, that Harry Potter minifig is *really* jerking my chain. Harry's outfit was friggin awesome, putting his Quiditch one to shame. I really wish they did a better job with it. >-|

I really like both of them! Darth Maul is breathtaking, and that Mace Windu looks sharp. I really like the faces. You've really captured Darth Maul's "I'm pissed because I only said one line!" face and Mace's "This ends now" face. Also, I'm just loving Mace's parka! Bloody brilliant! :oD

Just helping out Commander Nodra, sir! After all, I don't want to sic his army on me! What good would I be if I was riddled with laser bullets? ;) And yes, this is one heck of a site. I really like the new layout all the theme sites, with the exception of the Harry Potter and Bionicle one. Well, perhaps the robots have a far more mysterious origin that thought out. That or a massive plot hole. I like plot holes. Because even though they make the story more confusing, it usually makes the fights more interesting. |-D Also, Maybe the robots didn't want to get completely wrecked in a fight. Because even if their mech explodes, they will survive. It's like a fail-safe mechanism, you see? :)

Feeling the Torontonian love here! Name: Omit Age: Omit Location: Toronto, Canada Didn't want to post my name and age, security reasons, sorry.

Not bad at all. I just created one fro the template provided and it's quite good. Mine is all black though, except for the sword and the technic pin. Those parts are grey, but it does look great. Pity they don't have these in the Harry Potter Graveyard duel though. It's look awesome if it was. :oD

Heh, here's the long-awaited pic of the decal on the face. The little black mark where the nose would be is actually just a result of dust. I'm still working about with the sizing, so that everyone can print it, but here's a little sample. Well, enjoy!

Let there be light! http://www.lego.com/eng/exoforce/default.asp Lego already had the preview site up on November 16. All you had to do was type in "EXO2006" in the club code box and it would send you right there. :)

Hoo-yeah! THis stuff friggin' rocks! TO be perfectly honest, I actually didn't enjoy the whole Metru-Nui saga, so this is a welcome change. To be honest, this stuff rocks. And as for the flower thing, that ain't no flower. Unless your flowers are chainsaws. :-D Also, I REALLY hope that the collectables aren't marbles. THat's be aweful, but hey, these canister sets are the best we've seen since the Vahki (In my opinion), so I can't wait for these to float up into Canada! Booya!

I have to agree with Darkness and Kotua here. I was mistaken about these sets. They plain out rock. Rock like never before. And on the topic of the theme, Exo-Force takes place around a mountain with multiple bridges leading across. In the gate set, that's the entrance to the Human's side of the mountain. Ther's also a robot gate on the other side of the bridge that leads to the robot's side. Eat side of the mountain appears to be a massive world. For people who are warring with each other, their worlds look very similar. If you watch the comic, you catch a glimpse into the Robot world and it's actually alot like the landing bay area of the humans. *wacko* I hope this line does well. You've got great sets that can really floor kids here. I just hope that they make this storyline interesting. The battle is over a bridge. One flipping bridge! Come on! If they're going to do this, at least make is a very large bridge like the one seen in Star Wars. Because I tell, ya, it makes a dull story if it's a battle over a two-lane bridge. |-/

How to steal Lego sets... rather, how NOT to...
KMOI replied to JINZONINGEN73's topic in General LEGO Discussion
So how exactly did they figure out his scheme all along? I am unclear on that part of the story. *wacko* -
Alright. I give up. I've defended almost everything new in the face of older, more traditional fans, and for the most part, I have gotten them to see some of the light. Like Sigma 6 of GI Joe and the 2006 Bionicle sets But not this time. I'm not going to waste my energy trying to convince people who've already made up their mind. I've had just about enough having to play a losing David to an army of Goliaths. You can go about with your misconcieved notions of cartoon and sets, it only leaves more of them for me. Congrats, you're doing me a huge favour. *satis* Well, on a lighter note, I kinda understand where you all are coming from. This isn't your traditional pirates or castle. It's different, but hey. Everything needs a little change here and there. As long as this stays within the realm of minifigs, I'm getting this for sure. Oh, and this show was NEVER an attempt at "anime". It's meant to have it's own look that's unique from other shows. Just because it REMOTELY resembles anime, it doesn't mean it is. Besides, what do you want, stick-figures? :) Thanks for considering me! Well, there's my two cents. Hope I didn't offend anyone, as that was not the point. Just wanted to state some of my feelings revolving these sets.

Not to mention that this series has some seriously cool animation. It's really stunning what you can do with animation. Avatar's use of elements is really cool, especially when it comes to the battle scenes. Also, this has great Lego potential, considering that all of the scenes have huge Chinese temples. And for all those who doubt this show, go here and check out some clips: http://avatarfans.net/clips/

Arg. Just because I have a Bionicle sig, avatar and name doesn't mean I'm used to seeing mechs made of Bionicle. To me, Bionicle is a fun island adventure story, much in contrast with the Metru-Nui saga. I'm a proud mecha builder myself and I guess my notions of "mecha" come all from the Mecha section of Brickshelf. Here's one of the references I base my views of Lego Mecha on: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=zizy2 And this guy, who to me, is a god of mecha. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=87139

Great magazine! Mecha seems a bit wierd though. The frame constructions in the pics shown are a tad odd, but innovative!
-
LOL, yes, it is slightly too colourful, but I wanted him to be this way. ;) You see, the primary colours for the thing are supposed to be white, blue, red, gold and grey. :oD Oh the pretty colors! Anyways, here's the reference image. :-D http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/4518/sfreedom9um0jn.jpg

Hey everyone, I just wanted to show off my newest MOC. I was really tempted to do a mecha of sorts after looking at the new ExoForce sets. Anyways, without firther audieu, here is Strike Freedom Gundam! I guess this will need a bit of info to put it into context. Basically, I was going to the "powersuit" construction until I realized that I was far, far to lazy (and busy) to build a powersuit that I wanted. So instead, I decided to go for a mecha like my Snake-Eyes MOC before. Now about the actual thing itself. It has two swords, one long and one short (To get to all those hard-to-reach places). Also, those white beams you see sticking out of his hips are a pair of rail guns, which fire huge laser blasts. The wings you see in the back were also very hard to make. At one time, I had to make it less fragile, yet I wanted to have them be able to fold up. As a result, you get what you see now. Well, enjoy! PS: Strangely enough, you don't see alot of mini-mechs on these boards... Perhaps I shall be called the mini-mech master? :-D Nah, I'm just foolin'.

Fortheluuva... Of course they're real! These are the retailer catalogue pictures! And on another note, BZP is just full of members who are far too full of themselves. They only like things that are color coded and match the human form of the Metru-Nui series. In my opinion, those people who I just mentioned are posers. They're not Bionicle fans. Heck, they think the Visorak were amazing and ground breaking. Well, newsflash. Bionicle is going back to its roots and I can't help but be more excited. They're amazing sets using lots of pieces, interesting and menacing designs and to be honest, it's better then any of that Metru-Nui stuff we recieved. Oh and by the way, GregF does have the right to be angry. gylman, you'd be surprised. BZ-Power is more powerless than you think it is. Lego is a global conglomerate. BZ-Power is a fan site. Sure, Lego appreciates fan sites, but they got the power, not the other way around. And for those who think I'm just bad-mouthing BZP, think again. I'm a BZP member too, but I'm sick and tired of the hollow babbling by some members.

Ungh. I'm not really liking this, but the pieces look great. Somehow, these sets remind me of this guy's MOCs. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=147360

Heh, well, I watch my fair share of saterday morning cartoons and GI Joe: Sigma 6 is one of my favorite shows, despite the fact that it just started. :P Anyhoo, for those who aren't knowledgeable in the GI Joe stuff, Snake-Eyes is a ninja. A really cool ninja. So cool that all his fight scenes defy all known laws of physics. Anyways, I did a custom a while back and I completely blew the fan-base away. Considering I am a kid and that Lego MOCs for something like GI Joe has never been done before, this was considered truly original. I'm known as "-X-" on the other board, hence the water mark. Since I'm a faithful member of these boards, I hope you enjoy this MOC! Here's a little excerpt to put this into context. NOTE: This was edited because there was some phone number on the ruler.

Bionicle Minifigs (If you even call them that)
KMOI replied to LegoLover's topic in LEGO Action Figures
That hurts so hard, I can't even breathe. Ouch. :( Anyhoo, I'm a Bionicle fan and to be honest, the past few years of Bionicle have brought about some nice parts, but the idea of creating Toa like mass-produced chicken really irked me. What happened to the days when the villians were beasts that didn't come in canisters? Also, the playsets are hurting. To my eyes, my ears and my soul. I don't know what came over the Lego people, but I am certain it had something to do about "returning to the brick." So as you can see from my little rant here, I don't own those cool two-cloured rocks. I wish I did though! -
Another corperation I'm thinking of is Disney and their use of Mickey Mouse. Last time I checked, my main mouse is still sporting the same pants, gloves and shoes as he did over hald a century ago! :)
