Erik attacks the Blue schoolbook with Voltedge from the front row. Sorry guys, our phone-line got taken out by a truck (again) so it's a bit hard for me to get internet. I'll probably still be able to check in each day, but if someone could give actions for Erik in case I can't that would be great. Feel free to have him use consumables/whatever.

Oh, fair enough, then.

Oh, silly me. I see what's happening now. Not the most efficient way to do things, but alright. Cutcobra, you'll have to move Karie above Sorrow in the battle order, I think. And Endgame, you might as well attack from the front row with the Scythe. Because I'm pretty sure all the books deal full damage regardless of row. Why this, then? Wouldn't it be better to have her take damage/special damage from one of the books?Sure, losing all her ether would be a bit of a pain, but not as bad as everyone being fragile, or asleep, or minimized.

Oh, fair enough. In that case, we should probably have Drucilla target Red or Blue with the arc spell, and move Karie to the top of the battle order and heal Sorrow. Everybody would survive damage, including Sorrow, provided Karie did not completely fail to heal him. Wait now Karie is healing him with a potion? Sorrow is hastened, right? Says so in his stats, anyway. Why doesn't he drink his own grand potion? Then Karie could heal someone else or attack. And she's after Sorrow in the battle order anyway. *Sigh* "Roleplaying..."

You'd probably be better off attacking two of the normal books, though. Drucilla is targeting Saga, so there's no free hits from him, and you could survive being clobbered by one of them, plus your assassination would work. If you hit Red and Blue, there's no free hits, and Karie can heal someone.

The books are ranged, so they deal full damage to people in the back row. So you might as well always attack from the front, even if you have a ranged weapon.

"Heckz isn't in immediate danger." OOC: Because he's not attacking. IC: "Sorrow and the professor are the only ones at risk of being knocked out." "I figured I'd leave the healin' to someone else at the moment, though, 'cos I could cope best with one of those books suckin' my ether out. But I'll heal if you feel you need it." Edit: Oh that's what you meant. I'll post in Discussion, rather than having too much OOC.

While staggering around looking for his sword, Erik finds himself conducting a ritual. "Huh. Healin' with life taken from a book. That's new. Did either of you learn anything from it?" Erik finds his sword and swings it at Pink schoolbook (II) from the front row. (Voltedge).

Saga slams into Erik's face, and he crumples to the ground. Revived by the phoenix essence, Erik staggers to his feet, fumbles for his sword, and slashes with Voltedge at the Pink flying book (II) from the front row. "What's happening? Thought there was a cyclops, where's 'e gone? And there's that book again..." he mumbles, somewhat disoriented by his brief period of unconsciousness.

Yeah, but the bomb's effects would have worn off anyway because the affected monsters were dead. I guess if we had known we wouldn't have had Drucilla cast an Arc spell, and just left the enemies alive and disabled. I'm a bit more annoyed about Saga having just enough damage to K/O Erik in one hit. I really liked that first battle with all the stuffed animals, though.

Cutcobra, the Titanic Axe will not damage flying monsters. It's rock elemental. And Noel doesn't have a diamond, so he will not do double damage with spells anyway, and the books all do the same damage regardless of what row he's in, so you might as well have him attack from the front row with Rawr. Or if Sorrow is hastened, he could attack and survive damage from Saga, while Noel could attack one of the monsters affected by the Pumpkin Bomb. And yeah, those sidequests. Can't wait to read what everyone else got up to!

Erik awakens, and leaps to his feet. He draws Voltedge, and slashes at a Pink flying schoolbook, as it blurs past his head. Front Row. "It seems we were seperated, but me, Amorith and Sorsha all came through all right. Met a cyclops, too. Name of Arges."

Found this in R&D. So no, it doesn't transfer effects.

Pie, is the damage from the rogue mercenaries "Special I: Know When To Hold ‘Em" reduced by row and SP? If so, would the gold loss also be reduced?

Erik walks to the door, stopping on the way at the red and blue containers with feathers in them, to confirm that they are pots of ink and quill pens, as they appear to be. "No kids to rescue or monsters to slay here, it would seem."

Quest 93: I am hoping to have internet access for the next couple of days, but it may not be the case, unfortunately. If I don't post, anyone in quest 93 may feel free to post actions for Erik.

"I'll follow into the library, but we might be better off checkin' the other rooms first; I think they'll all be dead ends, and that way we won't have to double back later."

"Something in there. Might be human." Erik says to the rest of the party. He leans against the door and calls "We're here to rescue you. You're probably safe in there, though, so we'll pick you up later, once we've rescued everyone else, ok?" Then he follows Heckz to the second door on the left.

"Well, if there's something dangerous, I doubt anyone who hid in there's still alive anyway."

There were two "everybody"s later in the post, but I still view this as an overall improvement.

Erik hands Sorsha his Titanic Axe. "This might be more useful than that chair." OOC: Though we should still grab all the chairs we find - we can sell 'em for 20 gold! Torches too, next time we're in the entrance hall. Before Sorsha kicks the door, Erik steps forwards. "One moment." Erik knocks on the door. "Hello, anyone in there?" If there is no response, he says "We could just try another door. Anyone locked in there is probably fairly safe."

No worries. Have fun! "I don't think that hat will fit anyone other than Professor Hawke, so we might as well give it to him. Unless Thalions Duplovian Helmet would fit him better? He looks pretty tough; I doubt he'll need much healing anyway. He might benefit a fair bit from the Bumble Fanshirt, as well." Erik equips his Barbarian Boots instead of his Peacekeepers Totem.

Erik also follows the rest of the party. "Sorrow, maybe you've got an artifact Sorcha or the Professor could use?" Also Sorrow can wear a third.

"Looks like you did some good work on those skeletons. I think we can use all the help we can get." "We'll search the whole place eventually, what order we check the rooms doesn't bother me."

Erik grabs his Peacekeepers Totem and tries to talk diplomatically. "Look miss Sorsha, we're not demons. You recognise Professor Hawke, Leigh, and Noel, right? They wouldn't be hanging out with us if we were. Besides, surely demons wouldn't be stupid enough to attack someone as tough as you?"
