"I think she meant the blue bit and the crystal will be on opposite sides." Thanks. I didn't think there would be, but I wanted to make sure. Yeah there should be another spider piece opposite the existing one. I only have one spider though.

Maybe "illegal" isn't the right word. I mean, if I stick these two pieces together, the diamond piece will fall out if I move it. So I don't think it would work like that. Like you said, doesn't matter, but it would be a shame for you to miss out on solving the puzzle because of something like that. *Evil laugh* "Then all the XP shall be mine!"

Erik pokes the pile of lantern parts dubiously. "So many ways it could go together, and no way of knowing if we've even got some of the parts right. Just one part in the wrong place, and it won't work at all. I think we'll need a hint."

"The blue cone on top? Or the dish on the bottom? The dish is to focus the light in one direction. I'm not really sure about the cone, though. It was just left over at the end."

"No, no... Why would those two dishes go on top of each other?" Erik mumbles, looking at the pieces. So I couldn't find my one spider piece, but if you could imagine that yellow dish is a spider, and there is another one on the opposite side. Does it matter exactly which direction the pieces are facing, or just as long as they're stuck to the right studs?

It had been some time and numerous battles since any of the students had died, and with another barbarian beside him, Erik was keen to beat up some more demons. He raised his sword in the air. "ONWARDS, THEN!" We could send Arges with the other students.

"Oh, sorry, I'm always up for more gems, of course, but I think I can get Anwyl to pull a ruby outta this torch when I get back to the hall, so I don't really need it. I'm fine with whatever.

"Noel did good back there, keepin' those kids alive until we turned up. If you guys think it's too dangerous, send 'im back, but otherwise I'm fine with him coming along with us. If a few of us stayed here with Noel, the rest could go send Arges back, with Leigh, Hel, Cassus, Erin and Nanette." Erik turns to Sorsha, offering her the Titanic Axe. "Sorsha, do you want to go home now? You've done well already. I'm sure your father would be proud. You can stay if you want, though." Erik heals Drucilla, Thalion, Amorith, and Karie. Erik should be on full health, because he has Restoration.

Erik attacks Flame A with his Titanic Axe, from the front row if it is stunned, otherwise from the back row.

"Yaargh!" Erik swings his Titanic Axe at Serpentine Flame D. Back row. Earth does double damage against Fire, so that should cancel out the back row. So I should have done 51 damage.

Passably healing himself, Erik drops his sword, grabs his Titanic Axe, and swings it at Serpentine Flame B, from the Back Row. "Haven't got any smelling salt, I'm afraid. I've got an essence though..."

Erik heals himself with Voltedge from the back row. "Raargh! Stupid snake!"

"Noel and Sorsha could survive if they attack from the back row." Erik says, running forwards. "Finally you're in reach of my axe, cowardly worm!" He yells, swinging the Titanic Axe at the Wyrd Wyrm. (Front row.)

"Oh, actually, Heckz, maybe let me go first, just in case our attacks hurt the people possessed by the ghost." Erik uses his potion on Apparition C from the back row.

"Yeah, but light does double damage to Undead, so it would do normal damage to these, right?"

"Light-only attacks and healing should work, I think. Drucilla, can you cast an Arc light spell at one of them?" Erik uses his Potion on Apparition C, unless it is already defeated. Back row.

Erik runs towards the other end of the corridor via the second floor. "Sorsha, mind if I take my axe back for this fight? With only the one enemy, your frenzies will be less useful, I'm afraid."

Well, Lawful is a very 'logical' alignment. And focusing on stats is a 'logical' thing. Same with adressing everyone as 'Master/Miss', in my opinion. On this heist topic, it might be interesting to have a character who just doesn't realise the rest of the party are basically criminals until they're all in the bank stuffing a sack with loot, and it's too late to do anything about it. Or like in this classic Australian movie where the main character makes all these gadgets to help people rob a bank, basically just because he likes making gadgets.

"Yeah, how would ranged attacks and water spells do against the snake? Also, could healing magic pass through the fire to the kids?" "Any of you kids need healing?" He calls. Erik begins scratching mystical ritual symbols on the floor without waiting for an answer. "Maybe we could trick the snake into coming over here somehow?" He whispers, before waving his arms and chanting something, either in an obscure shaman language, or just in dodgy Latin.

Erik is a little bit slow in responding to the rest of the party's arguing. He looks around dazedly, then shakes his head. Too many whacks to the head from those books. He thinks. "Please, ladies and gentlemen. We have more important problems right now. Let's try and get that magic lantern. Proffessor... What was 'is name again? Anyway, he said he had an artefact that should give us an edge against these demons, in his room off that dark hall. Plus, there could still be survivors to find."

Erik sees Karie going to loot Hawke. "I guess he won't need any of that stuff, so sure, might as well take it, but watch out for Guinevere." He heals Thalion, before looking over the rest of the party. "Anyone else want healin'? You all look fairly fine, 'cept for a few scratches, but if you think it's worth healin' 'em, I'll give it a shot."

Erik casts healing on Sorrow. If Sorrow is already healed he attacks the Pink book instead. Front row/Voltedge either way. "Even if I heal Amorith, he'll need to replenish his Ether before he attacks anyway, and this might be over before he gets the chance."
