That is correct! Actually I made ISB up because I've never seen it written anywhere before, but your assumption is correct!

Request Pirate Lego - what future sets would you like?
Mister Phes replied to Norro's topic in LEGO Pirates
You have done well Mr Norro! You're certainly an asset to the Pirate Forum even if you meander into Castle a bit too much :-D And ironically Lugnet has finally accepted my registration... How typical! -
Right! That's it.... Someone needs to build a magnificent castle MOC and put pirates in it! :-D
-
Are you going to give the Covenant a major overhaul Mr ZCerberus?
-
By the way...
-
I think you'll need to make it longer. When I look at it I can't help but think its the same shape as some kind of bird, like a quail for example: Maybe I've accidentally consumed those herbs Mr Landlubber was referring to!
-
So before I continue on I must ask if you intend to continue work on this MOC or is the program finished for good? If its still ongoing then it would be interesting to see what the deck looks like using a different colour.

The last 8 pages are 4+ sets and the sellers seem to have more of them in stock than the SYSTEM sets. 2 pages are filled with the re-releases. This search also includes MIB sets and ISB but they're definitely not in mint condition. Even though your search has yielded more results there's by no means 1000's of MISB sets on BrickLink. Really there's not even 100's because about half of the MISB are the 4+ sets.
-
I must have made an error (maybe on purpose too >8-) ). Could you give me the link to a search that yields those results?

Which is your favourite base in the Pirate LEGO theme?
Mister Phes replied to Tully's topic in LEGO Pirates
You mean Skull Harbor? If Tully approves then I shall add it. -
You've been very prolific lately Mr Zcerebus! But by now I'm wondering it you ever wash your LEGO :-D The first thing I notice about the Sienna is you're using the wider hull piece but only one middle hull piece. So the ship looks too short and fat, the opposite of Covenant!
-
I can't help but think this ship looks a little too narrow. I'm assuming this is because you opted to use the smaller hull pieces. Is there any particular reason you made the stern castle white and blue? It doesn't seem to correspond well with all the brown. You need to carry the white and blue across the hull otherwise it looks like it comes from an entirely different ship.
-
The secret treasure horde underneath the blue cannon! But why a blue cannon?
-
I like how you've used the tan pieces for this MOC because they work well with the brown. Though perhaps its a little overwhelming in the closeups:
-
I'm a conquistador not a pirate!
-
And as you can see Landlubber is living in his own fantasy world. :-D I was just tired since it was 3AM in the morning. The mind's of some people... Coming to premature outrageous conclusions when in actual fact its something much more... Ummm.... Boring!
-
Yes, meters are such shocking things! They're so much more logical and easier to use than feet. No wonder they're the international standard for the science, engineering and commerce.
-
You're trying to make a smaller cannon aren't you? That being the case you should probably keep the design characteristic similar so someone viewing them can easily look at them and think "Ah yes, that's a smaller version of those cannons" whereas if they look different the viewer might need an explanation before they understand what they're looking at. I suppose it all comes down to the design of the cannon, but in the picture above there's a lot of black use for the rest of the ship so some light grey would help distinguish the cannon.

We are also naive to believe there are 1000's of MISB Pirate sets left in the world. You haven't even done research and you're just going on assumption which isn't a very clever way to come to a conclusion. Yes, there probably are people hording MISB sets but how many people could afford this and how many people realised the value in this sets 15-20 years ago? Not many. If everyone was like you then we'd have no MISB sets left whatsoever! Right now are only 31 MISB SYSTEM pirate sets on Bricklink and most of them are only small sets. Take a look for yourself. The result returns 78 matches but this also includes 4+ and Duplo sets, accessories like 5060 Pirate Cannon and 5150 Pirate Accessories Elements and non Pirate sets like 1411 Pirate's Treasure Hunt (Quaker Oats promo) and LegoLand Pirate with Parrot . Meanwhile eBay only returns 13 results for Pirate LEGO MISB and only 1 of those is a SYSTEM Pirate set. Obviously this is only a quick search and some sellers don't properly describe their items, although someone with a MISB Pirate LEGO set usually knows what they've got and makes sure its easily found. But 1 MISB Pirate set on the whole of eBay? There might be more tomorrow but I don't believe there will be anymore than 10 MISB Pirate sets at one time - and that's really generous. Your believe that there are 1000's of MISB Pirate sets for sale is absurd! There's not. If you think I'm wrong show me the evidence because I don't believe it. If there was that many I'd have they wouldn't be so expensive and there would be more in circulation on eBay and Bricklink. It seems you're living in the dark Mr Sting! You got a problem with that? :-D

The Spanish only conquered 2 major Mesoamerican civilisations and gave diseases the rest. Much forward thinking was required for that. Alliances can change over the course of hundreds of years would you believe? I think it would probably be better if you used light grey cylinders like normal LEGO cannons and a red whats-me-call it piece. I just can't think right now. I need sleep!

Mister Phes replied to Tully's topic in LEGO Pirates
The poll has been added... EVERYONE VOTE UP THE TOP!!! -
Perhaps to you but we all have different ways of phrasing and interpreting messages, I've explained what I meant so don't worry about it. How do you know there are 1000's left? Where the evidence to suggest this? Does it have to be made in 3rd Century BC to be precious and rare? You probably could argue that I don't respect your wish to use the LEGO for its intended purpose, and its selfish of me to horde LEGO sets that could be put to better use. ;-)
-
Now! Now! Don't get feisty laddie. Like I said just because its a toy it doesn't make it less precious than anything else that is rare. I don't think you understand, but don't worry about it. However, I did not say you have no morals, I said I had morals. Morals pertaining to me, not necessarily anyone else. Do you see the difference there?
-
Then why acquire them in the first place when there are plenty more sets already opened? I don't enjoy it one bit. I'd love to open and build too, but I have morals. I wish the sets were still in production so I could open them. But they're not. Maybe you'll understand when you're older. Hopefully by then its not too late.
