Fair enough that you want a unique creation. But why is it green? Is that the default colour putty or did you only have green available to you?

The pictures don't seem to be working for me. I've go into the post and extracted the direct hyperlink to them and then copy & pasted them into a browser but they just won't load.

Maybe I have unreasonable expectations but when a town is named after a fort I'd expect the fort to be a lot bigger! This is probably the reason I'm not allowed to name towns... Anyway... This particular kind of fort might translate well into an official LEGO set design. Maybe something I could look into one day if I ever get the time.

Its got the mast design the Caribbean Clipper should of had. I don't really like the aft mast on the Caribbean Clipper because it doesn't really do anything useful, except sport a flag and support some rigging.

Can ye give us an estimate upon how long it will take to complete the hull Admiral?

The auction has ended and someone purchased the set. Does anybody know if this particular brand has decent quality, or is it inferior like the majority of knock offs?

I took a picture of this once and I've got an enlarged photo sitting right next to me. I'll see if I can get it scanned in soon.

Actually, if you look carefully you'll notice the hull is submerged above the cannon ports. I had great difficult making it appear as though it was sitting flat on the water because either end would look raise. So I'd adjust it and then the opposite end would appear to be raised. I didn't really use the best image for inserted into a three-dimensionally generated terrain. If you look closely you may notice that Caribbean Clipper is the same as the one in the banner. Since I'd already edited out the background for use with the banner I just took the edited image straight into the 3D modelling software. You don't happen to have pictures of your custom Clipper by any chance? This is because they're firing cannons and their interior design has been modified to enable them to shoot cylinders. Could you elaborate upon that? Yes, I'd like to know too. There isn't anything wrong with rating a set Extremely Poor if you have are reason. Personally I don't like the design Caribbean Clipper that much.

Now lads its good that you're passionate enough to engage in this intelligent debate however this isn't the place to be doing it. Perhaps if you wish to continue this debate then you find a more appropriate area of Eurobricks. In my opinion parts of this debate seems like a personal squabble and it would be preferable if you could approach the topic more objectively. The other Administrators probably won't resolve the situation as leniently should things get out of hand. But I'm sure you're both intelligent and distinguished gentlemen who could shake hands and put this behind you, thus having no need to continue the debate elsewhere.

Fascinating story! Is it possible that could you take some decent pictures of this fort one day? It kinda looks too small to be a fort in those pictures, although that may be influenced by my ideal of how big a fort should be...
