I wouldn't say this MOC is poor, I think it looks like a very promising WIP. It would be good if the builder could finish it off a bit more and add sails, cannons, etc. But I do like the architecture of the hull, it looks very nice and I'll give it extra points from being brick built. I'd like to see more ships of this size with brick built hulls in fact.

Yes, he would. There are good mini-figure heads for pirates from these more recent themes, but problem is these heads can get a bit expesnive especially if they're rare. They can also be a hard to track down if you don't know which set they're from, because obviously when you have the set inventory you can look up the part number. Bricklink uses the same part numbers as Peeron.com - doesn't it?

What method did you use to find all these links Mr Bonaparte? Can you use the Invasion Powerboard Search Engine to find URLs?

Given they're only starting prices I wouldn't say they're that cheap. It really depends on their final price before we can label them as "cheap".

I think the ship by itself makes a good mini-set, but the Amusement Park overall doesn't really stimulate great bolts of excitment within me. I think the snow board slope (or whatever it really is) is a bit of a let down actually.

I think we better cease with the derogatory name calling to prevent a textual slagging match. You can't really make that claim because you don't know the financial circumstances of the other users. There are plenty of younger users without sources of income so don't assume you're the only one. Exo Attack lasts post reaffirms this point. You made the call you were going to bid on the auction, you never said you may be distracted by other things. eBay provides plenty of services that assist users to remember when auctions end, like notification Emails and even a toolbar with a window that pops up to tell how many hours or minutes till the auction ends. However, you do make yourself look quite foolish when you tell everyone not to bid on an auction and then forget to bid yourself. Its probably best to keep quiet about the auctions you want to bid on. We don't know your eBay user name so we can't see when you bid. Besides, if you bid in the last 5 seconds of the auction then we wouldn't know you bid until after it ended - which is no good to someone who is waiting around to see if you're going to bid or not.

Unless I'm mistaken domian registerations shouldn't take anymore than 72 hours at the longest and I don't think waiting 3 more days is going to kill us. My calendar tells me its almost the 10th of March!

There are some MOCs using the 4+ Ship hull but many have complained the tumblehome is ridiculously astute... But I haven't had much to do with it myself so I can't really comment on how useful that hull is for SYSTEM Pirate Ship MOCing.

When you get round to posting pictures of this MOC/WIP you probably should create a new thread in the Pirate MOC forum and start afresh. This thread seems to have become bogged down in other matters so your MOC probably won't receive that much discussion if you post it here.

I don't think he owes anyone an apology as its up to the individual to decide whether they're going to bid or not. As I mentioned in my previous post you shouldn't refrain from bidding on auction out of sympathy for another, because this thread demonstrates how things may turn out. Its a competitive world and bringing an auction to everyone attention will most likely increase the number of bids, rather than reduce them.
