  1. You know lads, you're absolutely correct that the Pirate theme broke the traditional "smiley face" mould. But when did the other themes follow suit? I recall that Castle was using Pirate faces at one stage.
  2. Did you make that smiley yourself Mr Imperial Scouts?
  3. You be a good little moderator and correct the error then - there's a reason why "gam" is there. :-P
  4. So you leave me in suspense! Which reminds me - I must get ready for skool now...
  5. Ahhhhh bless commercialism and capitalism... Then industrialism for those unsightly tram wires... Then urbanism for all the bitumen surrounding it...
  6. Nevermind her curvaceous body then Mr Athos :-D
  7. Yeah that and .com is more popular... Nobody ever raves about .orgs :-D
  8. What kind of raised base plate? Like Eldorado Fortress or you got something more modern in mind?
  9. Actually I've completely forgotten. Truth be I just bumped the thread by copying my last post, then pasting it and deleting the orignal. I think I must have the wrong image there.
  10. And what of town? Did any town sets have female mini-figure heads? Or did they too use the generic smiley face?
  11. Yes, that was the minor detail I didn't like - the statues! Or Knights or whatever they really are. Black is just too dark compared to the rest of the MOC and I think grey, white or yellow would be a better choice. But what colours do they come in?
  12. Personally I alway rotate the flags so they're facing the camera when I take pictures, irrespective of which angle the photo is be taken. But yes, I'd agree with Mr Tiber that this rampart could benefit from a bigger flag. Let the might of the Imperial Guards be known!
  13. Lets have a refresher image to save me scrolling to the top of the thread :-D I agree with Bonaparte, this is indeed a magnificent addition to Port Brighton, however there is one thing I don't like about it. One minor aesthetic detail that just doesn't quite work for me.
  14. Unfortunately that website hasn't been updated since the 4th of August 2005, so does anybody know if they still play it? Ah yes, I'm browsing through that... Anway, I was more interested in discussing the MOCs used rather than the game itself hence posting this thread in the Pirate MOC Forum. Perhaps I should revise the title... That ship is definitely a good archtype for a cutter, but I'm wondering if they ever create something more original.
  15. So perhaps "redesign" isn't the most appropriate word - so lets try "upgrade" You're going to UPGRADE Fort Brighton? Hows that sound?
  16. I be wonderin... Does this need to be a "rebuild" of Fort Brighton? I thought Fort Brighton was excellent the way it was so rather than rebuilding it would it not be better to extend it or perhaps start another fort entirely?
  17. Yes I noticed the Ice Planet 2000 mini-figure head, I even think I have one - somewhere! Still, you could always create characters from them since you went to all the trouble of designing them. They look like they're very important figures!
  18. Wasn't there a female mini-figure in the Guarded Inn or Black Smith Shop or some set like that predating 1989?
  19. The auctions have ended! I don't think their final prices are exactly cheap either, what does everyone else think?
  20. Was this the first non Town female mini-figure or did the castle theme have one earlier? I'm thinking it was the castle theme as early as 1986 but someone would need to confirm that... What nice lips she has!
  21. It is annoying because I would like to have had this domain registered a month ago, but that's the price we must pay for me insisting we need a .com :-D
  22. And there's also Rupi who has made some interesting Pirate MOCs, apparently he's friends with Baixinho so maybe you know him too Mr Agnelo.
  23. How many range of answers do yer need Mr F? Unfortunately the population of this message board isn't big enough to support too many options.
  24. Yeah that's the real reason - you're so clever to figure that out. Look at the wonderful discussion its lead us to!
  25. Sneaking and cunning! Just like a true Pirate. How accurate was my translation though?
