  1. I've always said that BrickLink was good for parts, but too expensive for sets. Although you seem to have done alright from BrickLink if I remember correctly.
  2. Egad! $US65 That's about twice what I pay for both of mine!
  3. As far as I'm aware Googling won't find eBay auctions which have ended. After a quick look all Googling does it take me to the seller's stores, but the actual auctions.
  4. If you want a really rough blunderbuss... "Whot Guns" Mr Cole? What guns are you referring to? X-D
  5. Do you have a link to that eBay acution for the Cross Bone Clipper, Mr Cole?
  6. In the case of KAHUKA and Capn Kirk 911, their avatars are not original images, the images have been designed by The LEGO Group all they've done is shrunk them down to meet avatar requirements. So I don't think they should count.
  7. Ah yeah? So what colour hatches would you have?
  8. Roll on 12th of March so we can get things moving again...
  9. Which colours would you have used, Mr Bonaparte?
  10. I must have, but what is more disturbing is this thread is the most active thread in the entire Pirate Forum - we're pratically dead in the water!
  11. Surely there are some a lot closer! *sweet*
  12. I'd say Mr Tiber's first image is a blunderbuss because it looks closest to Wikipedia's picture of a blunderbuss However... I think the muskets in the Pirate theme are too long to be blunderbusses, instead I'd suggest they're arquebuses. Here are more blunderbusses (at the top) and some arquebuses.
  13. Ahhhhhh much better - I can look at the ship while I type! Good work lads! I'm not sure about the blue hatches though, do they stand out too much?
  14. Its good that you've seen the light and discovered Pirates! But what is Napoleon retreating from? Do we ever get to see that?
  15. What were you doing with Galidor in the first place? X-O
  16. So what was he running from? The dog? :-D
  17. You don't need have hundreds of soldiers for an effective scene... Ignore show offs like: X-D X-D X-D
  18. Bo'Sun Will is the mini-figure with white trousers, white and blue striped shirt and a red bandana, which is why I posted a picture of him. Here he is again:
  19. According to Wikipedia, this is a "blunderbuss": Dictionary.com defines a "blunderbuss" as a short musket of wide bore with expanded muzzle to scatter shot, bullets, or slugs at close range.
  20. That's the problem with MOC threads that don't have a picture of the MOC at the top - too easily overlooked. Could you explain what a "tumblehome" is Mr Bonaparte? (I have the Dictionary.com definition in front of me but I think it would be more interesting to read it in your words)
  21. Is that REAL snow? I suppose the answer is obvious with the description "...From my garden..."
  22. I always wondered which forum the Napoleonic Wars belonged in, but the lads convinced me despite my apprehension it was the Pirate Forum, hence why the description became this: The world's largest online Pirate LEGO Discussion! Discuss pirate, colonial history, Napoleonic Wars, Mesoamerican civilisations (Aztec, Maya, Inca, etc) and the Age of Sail themes here! I suppose with that many blue coat Imperial Guard torsos flying around, I can see their point...
  23. This is about as close as you're going to get at the moment, Mr Norro: A question for Mr Hewkii9 - what kind of hull is this ship using?
  24. What a great advertisement! I'm going to rush out and buy a PlayStation 3 right now! X-D
  25. Its looking that way, however there are some complications getting PirateBricks.com. It seems its being parked by GoDaddy.com until the 12th of March so we can't register it until after that date. But that also depends what GoDaddy.com is planning to do with it, they might want it resell it for a ridiculous price or they might cast it into the great cyber abyss. The second would work better in our favour.
